I was delighted that he offered a way to avoid getting a novocaine shot which hurts and then takes hours to wear off. He was very aware of my fear of dental procedures and went out of his way to make it a quick and painless visit. Recommend him 100%!! I've sent friends to him who have also been really happy with their care. He is also great because he doesn't try to charge you for things you don't need.

My parents saw Dr. Holmes just prior to the COVID 19 outbreak. On their first visit, Dr. Holmes took measurements of their teeth and that was it. My folks were charged over $350.00 for both of them. They were not happy with his prices, understandably but did return for future teeth cleaning and check ups. They both said he was rough and not at all like the gentle hands of Dr. Poindexter. They were still unhappy with the charges but continued to seek treatment from Dr. Holmes until recently. My Dad was seen recently for a crown that was bothering him. Dr. Holmes broke part of my Dad's tooth when removing the crown. Then he told my Dad the only thing that could be done was to pull the tooth. He proceeded to tell my Dad that he could not pull the tooth and would be referring my Dad to another local dentist that could pull his tooth. My mother was also seen recently for a crown that was bothering her and she had a cavity that was under the crown. Dr. Holmes charged her over $900.00 to fix the cavity and to repair the crown. Dr. Holmes replaced another crown for her prior to this crown and again charged them over $900.00. The latest issue with my Dad's crown was the final straw for all of us. We feel Dr. Holmes is overpricing his customers and is not interested in doing what is in the best interest of his customers. Be prepared and beware!

The women try hard and work great. They are kind and courteous. The 2 men who are brand new are…read morelikely not from Texas at all because they were not very nice at all. Gangs of New York style doctors. I am a Texan who went to this business as a child growing up and then my doctors retired. I recently found a WOMAN who has been a dentist for over 25 years who was nice to me. She just gave me a night guard and sent me on my way. These doctors want us to pay them lots of money and they dont actually want to save your teeth. I know that because the doctors that used to work at this place named Lutrell and Gomillion told me dentists like to have you with bad teeth so they can make money. Don't trust dentist, vets and doctors always. Especially when they are mean to you and don't care about you at all. Like these men acted randomly towards me. As a mom and as a lady? I have never felt such disgusted and disdain as both of these dentist acted towards me just for being late driving in to an appointment. I was shocked the ladies working there for 20 years did not get vacations and bonuses. If the men took over that office go ask them if they got anything for Christmas the first 3 years. Instead of vacations they didn't get anything and I asked them. I asked the short doctor if he gave them anything there is a photo right there of the employees in Hawaii and my previous doctor did that. He said oh maybe we should do something- this was 3 years into their takeover. I have a great woman who has been doing teeth for as long as Gomillion and Luttrel and literally went to high school with their employees. I had my child and my mom's birthday and frankly they could have just said nice words. But only those who are nice and have nice people skills are capable of doing that. It's a gift to a few and a skill learned by many. It's odd when they are not my boss & they can't even care for their own employees openly and brag about it to me at all. Never artificially written. Written by me after getting great care from a 25 year long dentist who was professional kind and wanted their patients to morally and ethically be ok. I think a long time ago they could have literally called and said I'm sorry you felt that way but maybe their mom and dad never taught them to have any manners at all? Who knows. Do better men. Have a great day yall.
