However, when it came to delivery my order was over 2 hours late and they only sent it out after I called for the third time without any notifications or updates that they would be late, the dispatcher let me know after I called that the original truck broke down. Then for pickup I called 3 times before I was sent to a dispatcher who finally got a pickup scheduled days later than my original pickup time. The first two times the person who answered the phone seems annoyed that I called and just said "we're busy" and did not give me a pick up number or anything. The dispatcher told me that she never notification that the pickup was ready. Additionally, when I asked ove the phone if the extra time would be charged or if it was on them, one of the shop employees said I would have to pay based on when it was picked up. I now know that wasn't true but it really stressed me out because I was completely left out stranded and had to stay home from work for 2 days to wait for them to do the pickup and had no idea when and if they would actually come. I spent $150 each way for delivery and I only live 10 minutes down the road. The whole point was I needed things to be timely. I would rate the shop experience 4/5 and the delivery experience 0/5. While I would absolutely rent from them again, I'm never doing delivery. The equipment was in good working order and the delivery driver was nice and helpful when he did get there.

I have started to take on bigger projects around my house and this past weekend it was time to tear out a cement patio and replace it. I wanted to figure out the quickest and easiest way to do and I needed a Jack hammer. After browsing all my tool rental options this not only seemed reliable, but by far more affordable. In comparison, the HD would require a $350 deposit for a $90 rental. I believe I spent a total of $133 on a Jack hammer, 2 chisel picks, and a wheel barrel. Best part was, I got a refund on a chisel pick without even asking. They asked me if I had used both, which I hadn't, and they just refunded me. I loved that!! The employees are all incredibly friendly and helpful here! Like I said, I was a bit uneasy at first, but once I started talking to someone, I was feeling much better. Overall great employees, good prices, and reliable tools!!

    Longtime customer, incomplete rental, lost time, no make-right…read more I rented a dual-head grinder to prep a 1,000 sq ft garage floor. Carmel didn't have the unit, so they sent me to Westfield. Staff told me the grinder covers about 500 sq ft per hour. On that advice, I planned for three hours. Reality: eight hours of grinding produced 300 sq ft. I checked whether we had the correct heads. Carmel said the heads were universal. While rewatching the training video, I noticed the demo unit carried add-on weights. Mine had none. I called Carmel. They had the weights. I drove back, picked them up, and was told they would take a little off the bill at return and that a weekend counted as one day if returned first thing Monday. With the weights installed, we did 700 sq ft in two hours. At return, a different employee said there would be no relief beyond the one-day weekend charge. No acknowledgment that the original rental went out incomplete. No follow-through on the offer to adjust. This isn't about the money. It's about the lost hours created by sending out a grinder without required weights, and the refusal to honor a make-right that was offered. I've spent more than 10,000 dollars at this location over the years under the previous ownership and they consistently made things right when something went wrong. Bottom line: the equipment was incomplete, I lost time I will not get back, and the store chose not to stand behind the customer.
