Their prices are better than any store within 50 miles! They carry goat tender & excel & swetlix which is what we use & most places have one of these items so we were going to multiple stores. The store is so cute and neat as everything a cat or dog owner would need was in the store. Plenty of toys, food, accessories, treats, and other items could all be found in this shop! The owner Sara was super knowledgeable and friendly with not only us but all customers that came by. She knew the different products in the store which is always a good sign. I also was interested in the natural treats being sold near the checkout station as I never saw frog legs or rabbit ears in any pet store that I have been to. I asked Sara what would be a better treat and she went above and beyond by telling me their benefits. I went with the rabbit ear as she told me it would also be fun to watch them react to it due to my dogs' natural predatory instincts as I love to record their reactions to new things. The cheese bites were also picked up cause they reminded of the human cheese balls and thought it would be cute to see their reaction to having a dog friendly version. She explained to us that everything in the store is at the dogs' level so they could experience the store as well. She was gracious in allowing our dog to sniff around and check everything out, and was very helpful in showing us the selection of leashes, including leashes made from recycled climbing rope, which I think is pretty cool. The employee was incredibly friendly to both the dog and the humans, and was generous with treats for our large-bread, even asking if the flavor was okay due to potential allergies. She even sent us off with a free sample bag of chicken treats. Overall, we had a great experience shopping here.

This person had to leave by ambulance and the dog became very distressed. Rather than force the dog to be groomed under such stressful circumstances they brought him out and asked if they should continue. Of course we took the dog home and he will go back another day. I'm switching groomers! I love that they cared about the dog and how he was feeling. My dog is my baby and I have been looking for a groomer that is sensitive with her. The sensitivity, customer service, and maturity of the people working the counter in an emergency was amazing. I can't wait to see how they do grooming my dog!

Capitol City Grooming is heads and tails better than any other groomer we've been to. We've taken…read moreour fluffy (uber fluffy) corgi Bernie to numerous groomers in Tucson and Olympia and we've never been truly satisfied with the result. He'd be clearly traumatized when we picked him up and his trims were invariably uneven. Sometimes they would even wound him - but not tell us. We'd find the bloody evidence shortly thereafter. So we were thrilled to find Capitol City. They were friendly and kind. When we picked him up 4 hours later he was clearly in a good mood - no trauma. And he looked absolutely beautiful. The best trim job ever - no blotchy patchy areas. Just a handsome tri-color corgi. Mind you he was a ROYAL MESS when we brought him in! We had stopped going to groomers after so many disappointing results and had tried - and failed - to groom him at home ourselves over the past 2 years! So they had quite a challenge! All the more reason to be impressed with their skill and obvious excellent treatment of our boy. And to top it all off - their fees are extremely reasonable! We were expecting a very high bill given the challenge he had presented. Can't recommend enough!

Today at Capital City Grooming Dawn did an amazing job, the whole team was so friendly. Our dog was so chill at pick up it was such a relief, last 2 places she was so stressed out. I could instantly tell how well she was cared for. Because she still has a bit of a issue with the process the team at Capital City suggested I bring her in once a week for an hour no charge so they can bond and get her more comfortable. Wow above and beyond!!!!! Capital City was referred to me by a woman in the grocery store and I would refer them to anyone reading this and more. Very happy both of us
