I broke my own rules, and now I am reminded why the rules are important to stick to…read more We just happened by this pet store, and, there was a litter of pups.... you can see where I'm going with this, right? I feel its better to always buy from a reputable breeder that does health testing. But, it was love. You don't always think right when you fall in love. Well, one stole my heart. So, (against my better judgment) I made the purchase. The pup is still wonderful. So, I do not regret the pupster. However, the pup had a bad start in life. And shouldn't have. First, the pet store doesn't smell good *warning* over crowed with birds, fish tanks. and overpriced products. Its just plain dirty. The ladies are friendly. But, still, my puppy was so sick :( We stopped by another store to buy the pupster some food, shampoo, bed, chewies, leash, collar, toys... just getting ready for baby. :) Well, the poor thing we discovered had flees, worms, ear mites. Everything bad a pup could have, this one did. We had to de-flee, worm, ear mite treat the pup and all our other pets. It was expensive as you know. The pup just had a bad life start. Pupster was also dehydrated. A pet store should at least care about the pets health. They should not sell sick puppies. If your making money on the pet, doesn't it deserve to be healthy? I mean, its a pet store, they no doubt get a discount on flee meds, worming meds, ear mite meds, They should treat them. If I were you I would stay away. We love the pup. But feel sad about her unhealthy start. She deserved a healthy start in life. It was sad and so worrisome for us. (not to mention gross) ***UPDATE*** 2/14/2013 ************************************************************* This is not an update on the store. Just on the pupster, for any dog lovers reading. She is doing awesome. She is a very loving, people orientated girl. Always up for play or snuggle, just so long as shes with her people that's all she cares about :) Shes a great friend. So, no regrets as far as she is concerned. However, I think it is best to purchase from a reputable breeder. One who cares and does health testing. Be careful of pet stores.

Not sure when the one star reviewer visited, but the people at Dyer's Pet Store have always gone…read moreabove and beyond anything I could imagine. Is it a small store? Yes. Do they always have EVERYTHING in? No. But Hermiston is not a metropolis yet so it's easy to understand why. They do their very best to create a clean atmosphere for pets and customers alike. It's the most none pet smelling pet store I have been in. Having worked in pet stores myself, I would give them ten stars if the rating went that high.
