When this was brought to the owner's attention, his response was: "The shelf price was from last July. The price is higher now, we just haven't printed new tags." Apparently the entire store could be rearranged, but pricing can't be updated. Regardless of the reasoning, he refused to honor the listed shelf price and simply said, "It happens, it's not our fault." Actually, it is your fault . If you own and operate a business, accurate pricing falls on you. Customers should not have to double-check whether shelf prices are correct every time they shop. We ended up returning the item and bought the exact same part at the local auto parts store for significantly less. Just a heads up for anyone shopping there: pay attention to what rings up at checkout.

They have the 11% Off everything in the store at least once a month & we always receive the rebate after sending it in. My husband & his family are very into interior home/exterior projects or repair & have gotten the majority of their supplies from Menards. I get all of our interior paints here. Our toddler & I usually go with to just look at all of the interesting tools, display patio furniture & lights ; the store is absolutely massive. We usually pick up large grocery items like washing detergent, dish/toilet paper, cleaning things & dog food while we're there. Lots of fun outdoor feeders, birdseed & suets for your yard year-round . We always get one of the fun treats/candy or drinks for the way home. The garden center at the start of summer is an absolute zoo. It's a lot of fun to see the large variety of plants & garden decor but it can be really hard to navigate in the chaos. Great for bulbs. Only things I'd point out is that the floor staff aren't usually that friendly & it can sometimes be hard to find help. Everyone at checkout is always really nice though. For kitchen design & appliances we decided to go with Home Depot. Otherwise, we get just about all of our home project supplies at Menards! So much joy here at Christmas. Definitely go in whenever the 11% rebate is out!

We seriously looked like fish out of water (no pun intended) in that we were looking for fishing gear because we left all ours back in Chicago. The guy who ran the fishing and tackle department was so knowledgeable and even pointed us to the sale isle in that we were looking for something for the kids. The place was clean and organized - complete with an old fashioned popcorn maker and that darn gumball machine that my kids go crazy for. The nice young man at the counter and my husband exchanged about their military experiences and thank you's and we were on our way. BUT - that's not all! There was a great little market in the adjacent lot on Friday afternoon where we picked up some fresh veggies, bread and meat for dinner. Every time I've gone in someone has greeted me and asked if I needed any help. This past Saturday I literally brought my TV with me because I can't find the proper screws for the base. A younger guy took the screw I had most recently purchased (my 3rd attempt), sized it and then took several attempts to find the correct screw. He was running in and out of the store to fit it on the TV (never ended up finding it). At one point another guy was helping us too. This type of service would NEVER happen at the big box stores or even most of the small-town stores. Very appreciative and will visit this store before I go into town to the big box store!

we visited this store on 8/9/21, at first we thought what a cool store. then after listening to the…read moreemployees behind the gun counter and speaking with them, we thought different! a group of unprofessional rude unfriendly guys. we went back with the intentions of buying a shotgun, which we thought was a fair price, the sales person did everything he could to talk me out of the gun, in fact the info he gave me was WRONG, to be honest I knew more about the gun than he did. as a retired hardware store manager and service manager, i can't imagine the sales these people are passing up. maybe their happy with their numbers and don't need better sales numbers. i would put them all on commission pay, i'm sure their attitudes would change, or they would move on. very poor employees.
