When I arrived 2 hours later to get him he wasn't ready because "he's not used to being groomed". This small dog has been groomed every 3 weeks since he was born. They said that he was anxious the whole time and 'come pick him up' because he wasn't cooperating. They emphasized that he tried to bite her multiple times. As I emphasized earlier, he is a sweetheart, loves people and other dogs whether they are a small teacup like he is or if its a big Saint Bernard. They told me that it was because he saw me leaving. ?@#$%! What? OF COURSE HE DID! He was shaking when I picked him up with a half haircut. Yes, a choppy uneven haircut and he had a bloody cut on his paw when I picked him up. I'd try to bite someone if they mistreated me too. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Our dogs are our children and don't need to be abused by such unloving, uncaring people. They should not be groomers. I don't recommend the store either. Its dirty. I bought a bunch of squeaky toys there and 3 of them didn't squeak! STAY AWAY. They won't be there much longer!

This last item is essential for our Wolfeboro trips as my dog hates kayaking and canoeing and will try to jump out if we are within 10 feet of shore. My sister often buys my dog, Murrie, little presents from here, including a stuffed duck that made real quacking noises until Jake, her AmStaff mix buddy, bit it a little too hard, and now it just makes crunchy plastic noises. (It's still Murrie's favorite toy.) We just went back to get a Replacement Duck, but they were out, so we got treats instead. The always-helpful, always-kind staff offered to order Replacement Duck for us, but since we were leaving the next day, we told them we'd be back next summer And we certainly will.

This store is always clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. There is a great selection of toys and treats as well as a dog bathing area that's open for self wash. My dog is crazy with anxiety and the staff are always warm and welcoming when we stop in. Staff will even help with carrying large bags of food out to your car which is extra helpful when your dog is a psycho kamikaze with cars in the parking lot!

Sold me a fish earlier this year with epistylis which infected my tank and then died, later…read moreadmitting they were having an active epistylis outbreak (they accept fish from hobbyists but dont quarantine well I guess). Some time later, I special ordered a specific kind of fish, which came in after a long wait, only to have one of the fish deformed - not their fault, but weird kinda judgy vibes gotten from the employee that was helping me that day when I didn't end up wanting them. Placed another special order for the same kind of fish, hopefully not deformed this time, never heard back from them. Last encounter was maybe a month or two back, went in to look for another kind of fish and plants, and was met by a worker who seemed pretty uninterested in being there/helping me. Overall weird vibes here and it's always kind of gross/wet/filthy. I want to like and support the local fish store but honestly I've had better experiences at both pet quarters and petco by the mall (which is a pretty low bar).
