I found some really nice key rings upstairs on sale and they have made fun gifts for family and friends. My spouse is a librarian and Black's sells a variety of games and toys that add so much to a library. Location is great and even during peak seasons, like spring and summer, we've always found parking within walking distance. The customer service is friendly and helpful and they have some good sales and clearance items too. On our most recent visit on Veteran's Day, we found some winter gloves and a gift for a friend. Thanks for making our visits to town, so much fun!

On a postcard and would change color I BELIEVE from BLUE to an ORANGISH color 'when a change is due'. The Hansel and Gretel Shop carried them as well. I still have some of my Cats Meow wooden 'structures' of Blacks (of course), Julie's Dress Shop, Melvin Village Church and Calefs. It was great fun to go by boat to get the Sunday paper, at LEAST one pack of gum/candy to split between us kiddos and then enough donut holes from the Yum Yum Shop to last the boat ride back to 19 Mile Bay and then MAYBE one bag for family that did not go on the boat ride!! I had a Wolfeboro 'Oldest Summer Resort in America' for years when I lived in SoCal. Blacks was/is a rite of passage for many of us Baby Boomers!!

It's exceptionally creamy, never grainy, very flavorful but not too sickly sweet... it's just amazing. Favorites of mine are plain ol' chocolate, which is divine, and Penuche (pen-u-chee) which is a rich brown sugar flavor that's really hard to find outside of New England. It's $12 a pound, but that gets you a lot and is about par for the course as far as fudge prices go. They'll give you little samples too if you're finding it hard to choose between their 10+ flavors. Bottom line- THIS IS THE BEST FUDGE IN THE WORLD GO GET YOU SOME NOW.

Staff were exceptionally nice in here. This place is sooooo cute!! I LOVED it!! There's a lot of different items to look @ & we learned that the cashier, Cassandra is also a local artist who has made a lot of the things for sale in the store. She was very nice & friendly. I love the gift bags & tissue paper that she hand stamps and puts together the bags if you are buying gifts for someone. I got a cute porcelain cat planter that was even on sale! The best part about it is my friend actually Venmo me money for it because she wanted to pay for it as a bday gift...score!! I picked up a couple cute NH stickers as I like to collect a sticker from each state that I visit & I also pick one up for a friend & co-worker. I got my Mom this super cute night light made out of metal with a bear in it that I think will look great @ her camp up in ME, that one I'm saving for Christmas. My friend also bought me these flat dish rags that expand when you get them wet, they have cats all over them. I've been eyeing them ever since she showed me some that she has back in Dec. when I was @ her house. I haven't really wanted to buy them due to them being a little pricey so I'm excited to try them out. Cassandra had told us how this building use to be an old Bait & Tackle shop. The owner worked hard redoing it & getting it ready for her trading post. I love the hard wood floors, this place is just really cozy and nice. :-) I definitely will have to stop in again when I'm back in town & up this way. Thanks for your AWESOME customer service & friendliness Cassandra! NOTE: there is no public toilet or running water in here. There is a gas station close by & a DD across the street.
