Shame on you for taking a good store down to the ground and next time you want to talk bad about customers don't do it where we can hear you, go back to training school and maybe check your matters. As anyone who has animals may know, penicillin has been all but impossible to find for months on end now. Hoping to find some online and have it shipped to our farm, I Googled and was surprised -- and skeptical -- to find that this particular TSC reported having two 250 cc bottles in stock. I called the store, told the clerk who answered that I'd be coming from over an hour away, and asked if someone would check to make sure that there was actually at least one bottle in stock in their meds fridge. After being on hold for adequate time for someone to check, she came back on the line and assured me that her manager had looked and they in fact did have two bottles on hand. I reiterated that we would be making a 50+ mile trip each way, and she once again told me that her manager had checked and they were there. Arriving at the store, I made a beeline for the meds fridge. A quick glance confirmed the suspicion that had been growing in my mind; if something seems too good to be true, it's probably false. Approaching the clerk at the register -- the only employee on the sales floor other than a man-child who was in animated discussion on his cell phone -- I waited for her to finish with the customer she was helping. Meanwhile, said man-child continued his conversation at full volume: "We're talking about YOUR divorce! You KNEW I was married when we got together!". And on and on. Nice. Very professional. Perfect place to discuss your unsavory, unscrupulous, MESSY life while you're on the company clock. The cashier finished with her customer, and I told her what I was looking for. She spoke with another employee via her headset, and they went to confirm what I already knew: not a drop of penicillin in stock, despite those two fictional bottles still shown in their inventory. "But they have some at the Bad Axe store!" she chirped. People three miles away likely felt my eye roll and heard my snort of derision/exasperation. I wouldn't have cared if an employee at the Bad Axe store IG'd themselves tap dancing in the aisle holding said penicillin; I was NOT driving an additional 300+ miles round trip on the say-so of a TSC employee from that store. So... an afternoon wasted, 112 miles of fuel burned with diesel at $5.36 a gallon, and absolutely nothing to show for it other than complete contempt for this store and every employee in it at the time of my visit. Consider this a cautionary tale for anyone hoping to get decent HONEST service from this store: they are clearly firmly entrenched in DGAF mode, and your needs as a customer come dead last. Go ANYWHERE else.

I followed the link from kibble company's page and was surprised that the Feed Bag has such an amazing selection of kibble. When I called to check prices I was pleasantly surprised that the Feed Bag beat the online vendors by nearly $8 per bag. We have been to the Feed Bag four times over the past year to purchase two types of Victor for our Aussies and each time we have been met with the same exceptionally friendly employees and super happy store cat and dogs. The selection of products is always interesting and of course we always walk away with a special vegetable based chew or bag of organic treats for our girls. Last time we were there I noticed they have bird seed, so my goal this weekend is to pay attention to their suet prices. The Feed Bag is in Richland, which does require a drive about seven minutes out past Kalamazoo, but it's well worth it for the money saved. We usually stock up and buy three or four large bags of kibble at once. The employees always help my husband carry the kibble to the car and I get to say hello to the owners dogs. Everyone wins.

Usually when I come in, the few salespeople working are spread out on the floor, but each one eventually comes by to greet me and ask if I need anything, or if I have any questions. I've found them all to be friendly and doting. Their boot selection varies from shipment to shipment but I've bought two pairs of boots from this location specifically because of the service, selection, and the great prices. I realize that other western stores may have higher end boots like Lucchese, but if you're a collector like I am, then you get a lot more value here than anywhere else. I'm a fan of supporting the mom and pops (shout out to Scott Colburn and Howell Western Wear), that said, I like Cody James boots. My girlfriend bought me my first pair for Christmas. That was going on two years ago and I still get compliments on them. I'm a fan of Boot Barn. If you're getting into boots, they're an entry level spot to indulge your curiosities.
