More worried about signing people up for neighbors club, power plus & credit cards than taking care of customers.

Indiana Mall is another of these small regional PA malls that most people don't know exists unless…read morethey are from the area. Mall is a short drive from US-422. Has several decent anchor stores including Dunham's, Kohl's, and JCPenney, with part of the former Sears and Kmart still vacant. Interior of the mall is very retro and I doubt it has ever been renovated as it has two fully functional fountains. There are also several very retro sitting areas. Interior still has a decent number of stores, but there is without question vacancy. The slum lord ownership by Kohan Retail investment Group (or one of its partners/affiliates) is starting to show here, but it's not critical. Yet. One of the other interesting tenants is a PennDOT Driver's License Center. The mall still has a four-screen movie theater accessible from an outside entrance. There is no dining onsite aside from Auntie Anne's. Overall, I found this mall to be in better shape than I expected, and if new ownership could purchase it, Indiana Mall could remain a functional part of the community for years to come.

Indiana Mall is definitely a dying mall, but I will give it a neutral rating. It does contain…read moreseveral empty storefronts, but it also has several decent stores and looked clean. As of the time of my review, stores included GNC, Luxenberg's Diamonds, Maurice's, Bath and Body Works, Claire's, Spencer's, Kay Jewelers, JCPenney with a Sephora, the Shoe Department, and American Eagle. Other stores that I could access from the outside of the building included Kohl's and Harbor Freight. For restaurants, I saw an Auntie Anne's. I also saw recreational businesses such as Glow Golf, a party center, and martial arts. In the center of the mall were tables where small local businesses sold arts and crafts. The DMV also had an office for tests and photos here. I walked inside a couple of stores, and zero salespeople spoke to me, and I ended up purchasing no products, but I consider the mall to be overall OK for residents of this small city.

You know what breaks you of this habit? Relocating to a new area. I needed to get some vegetables when I was in town. We were in the the thick of birthday celebration month mayhem. My contribution was to grab the veggies for the veggie tray. I kind of had the feeling that I was about to drop some money with the way prices are now. However, I was surprised when I stopped here. I was able to grab all the veggies I needed. Carrots, celery, radishes, green peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, etc. I may have gone overboard with all the veggies, but I really enjoy a good veggie tray. I was happy to see that the prices here were amazing. They were having a bit of a sale on some of them, but everything else was reasonably priced. What really surprised me was the parent company Martin's is part of. I kind of was figuring it out when looking at items, and seeing a now familiar logo. It really hit home when I put in my phone number for their loyalty program. Giant, not to be confused with Giant Eagle, owns these Martin stores. But, and forgive me for saying this, Martin's are so much organized and clean when compared to the Giant stores I have come into in the DMV. Also want to point out the name thing. Giant Eagle, in this area reigns supreme, and they are everywhere. Giant really can't be used here as there is already a Giant with a different logo in the PA area. So settling on Martin's was their go to. Fitting into a grocery market that is saturated from all sides.

It also feels like this location might be focusing on more of the furniture aspect than what they have on the shelves. The furniture area feels as if it takes up more than half of the store. Which equates to the other sections that are divided up into departments has less room to show off what they have. Some departments were only two aisles. Go to other locations, or other competitors, and these departments would be much greater than what you get here. Honestly, there is a section where it seems to be misused as well. I suppose it is set up to be like a seasonal section, but it is nothing but a total mess. I came in here in search of a gift during the holidays and ended up going out with nothing in hand.

We stayed up all night cleaning up the living room and getting it all ready, we even had a friend of ours come 20 minutes out of his way with his dad's truck (gas prices are high) to take our old couch to Salvation Army because God forbid Biglots takes it . We were told that we could have it delivered between 10am and 2pm and nope nothing. We got a call from customer service saying it's been delayed until 8pm. 8 comes around and you guessed it not a damn call and no truck. We talked to customer service to see if we could just pick it up the next day and I will honestly say that customer service were the nicest people to talk to. It really sucked having to get a U-Haul to fucking pick it up.
