TPG has a number of FAILURES where Customers cannot respond in time or properly: NOTICE that NO EMAIL ADDRESS is available! Also, their PHONE service leaves one waiting 2 or 3 hours, if lucky.. that it did not drop OUT! I have to go to ACCC now, to get some attention to some ADDED features that I never needed or wanted! (They cost $89 - as much as my PLAN itself! - Though I have FREE overseas calls on my Samsung A72 mobile phone, so that is proof that I do NOT need an extra Cost Feature at ALL! - I'd like to know WHO added such "feature" considering a FEATURE is an accessory I never needed, even when with Telstra! TPG surely MUST BY LAW, refund all the unnecessary "extras" they charged me while I was sick in hospital... and unable to find any errors or deliberate overcharging! read more

I decided to transfer to TPD last week, i had heard a lot of good things about it & my Telstra NBN connection was absolutely rubbish. things were going well, plenty of emails letting me know what is happenning, until yesterday when they said they had been refused access to my home line becuase there were other systems connected to it. They stated I had to contact Testra to Cancel these, after about 40 minutes of being transferred or put on hold I was told that only my new provider could only cancel them. I went back to TPG & was basically told they couldn't do anything. It was my problem to sort out. I asked for advice as they suposedly new how the system worked & could advise me. however, they couldn't, so I am left hanging. Unfortunately i hate doing bad reviews but this one i had to do. TPG INTERNET. I signed up with TPG to have my phone and broadband connected when i moved to my new house last year. It took them two months and me threatening to sue them because i had paid for it but never got anything. I finally get it and then they charge for the two months it took them to connect saying that i had been using the phone and net when i didn't even have it. I have been overcharged on several occasion i get harassing phone calls and emails and i had my computer hacked several times which is not there fault but when that happened i then get a threatening email stating that i have illegally downloaded content. and i had never even heard of the content i had been accused of. So all in all i will have to say this company is by far the worst company i have ever dealt with there customer service is beyond shocking. And i have heard this same story as mine from several other people saying TPG did the same thing to them. This company has a lot to answer to and should be embarrassed and ashamed of themselves for producing such horrific customer service and giving there company a really bad reputation. All in all i would have to say if you are considering going with TPG for you phone and interent really consider it first because you will have more hassle than its worth. read more

I paid $309 upfront for a modem and internet connection with TPG. I waited nearly 3 weeks for the technician's appointment. The technician didn't show up and when I talked to TPG they said they didn't know when they could schedule another time as they relied on Telstra technicians. I asked to cancel and get my money back but they said I had to pay a $250 cancellation fee. They have now reduced this to $100. I have written to the Telecommunications Ombudsman because I am so unhappy about having to pay for something that I didn't receive. I feel like they have stolen from me. They also said in a subsequent phone call that the technician actually did turn up but no one was home. I told them that I had an electrician, a builder and a plasterer at my house that day that would all sign statutory declarations. TPG didn't continue with their lie after that. It just goes to show that this is one of their tactics. I have since joined with Optus and they connected cable (TPG said that I could only have ADSL). There was no upfront fees and the technician bought the modem with him so I didn't have to pay postage. read more

I thought TPG was a cheaper Internet provider but in the final wash up, cheaper isn't better. I rang TPG to cancel the Internet because my son was moving & we're selling the house but they didn't want me to cancel & offered to transfer the account to his name & transfer service to the new property. All was OK until they couldn't offer ADSL2 at the new place & told me it would have to be cancelled & a new account opened in his name for the service they could offer. Thought all was OK but couldn't find any cancellation on "my account" online & no information about cancellation. When I rang again they said they hadn't actioned my cancellation because it wasn't in writing even though I spoke to 4 TPG staff & they told me it had to be cancelled because they can't transfer!!! No mention of the request having to be in writing. Why? They kept asking if I could transfer it to a new owner. Totally unacceptable. They've now debited my account in advance for another month for a vacant house. A blatant grab for money & no customer servive. Easy to continue but no help if you want to cancel. They make it as difficult as possible. Deliberately omitting vital information. I gave the required 30 days notice but not one of the 4 staff wanted me to cancel and didn't advise they wouldn't action a request unless it was in writing. Not advising vital information on purpose.
