My family's been going to ToyWorx for a while, and we keep coming back because they're honest, respectful, and actually care about the work they do. They only fix what's needed and don't try to upsell you, which I really appreciate. I brought in my 2007 RAV4 for front brakes, and it was a smooth, solid experience--planning to go back for the rears soon. They also use high-quality OEM parts, which might cost a bit more, but it's worth it for the quality and peace of mind. Definitely recommend them if you've got a Toyota, Lexus, or Scion. read more

I took my scion in for a oil change and have them check a vibration noise. They recommended a new air filter, cabin filter and battery. I declined those items since I can do myself at cheaper cost. I found my old cabin filter left on floor when I picked car up, thought not big deal. Then when I was ready to put replacement filter in car I couldn't because they left out necessary part! read more

Reliable and honest. Would trust them over anyone else if you have a Toyota. No brainer.

This is definitely the place to go on the central coast to have your Toyota serviced. When I moved here, I went to Santa Maria Toyota for service, but then someone told me about Toyworx. I have been going there for at least 2 years now and am always happy with the service. 2+ years ago there was an irritating noise from under the hood and had it to the dealership 3 times. They could not find the problem! I took it to Toyworx and hadn't been home 20 minutes after dropping off the car, when he called to tell me he found the issue and it was fixed! No one else has worked on my car since. read more

This shop is outstanding in every way. Complete confidence in their maintenance abilities. Always helpful and considerate, especially in a "car crisis!" read more

Knowledgeable and honest, fixed my ventilation system where I had a vibration issues for years! Thank you.

Very honest and good results. Been taking my Toyota Highlander there for about 12 years. Always been satisfied.

If I had the option, I would give them 10 stars. I brought my car in for repairs because a rat had been chewing up the wires. They were incredibly communicative throughout the process. They inspected my car, identified the issue, and provided me with the cost of service before even starting any repairs. By the end of the day, they had already completed the repair. It was all done within less than 24 hours. I am incredibly satisfied with this company. As a travel nurse, I have limited support in my area, so a car is essential for getting to work and around. Not only that, but their rates are also very reasonable! read more

I came to Toyworx for a 2nd opinion about a timing cover reseal suggested by Toyota of SLO priced at $2834.10 for my 2015 Prius. Daniel reported the "leak was a seep, seal should last another 10 years" (I learned such leaks are expected in Prius' timing cover.) My cost, out the door, was $32.63 to replace the dirty air filter. (Toyota SLO's quote=$87.45) I expected a $90 charge for the diagnostic exam...Daniel said it was so quick and easy=NO CHARGE. Guess who is a forevermore custome??? Me Me Me Me Me Me Me read more

Ripped the CV axle boot on my 4Runner while off-roading. Being from out of the area, I was hard-pressed to find a reputable shop to replace it. Thankfully, Toyworx was able to fit me in the same-day. They were honest about the work that had to be done to get my 4Runner back on the road safely, and were able to replace my CV axle within a day despite not having the part on-hand. The price was extremely fair and I recommend Toyworx to anyone looking for a reputable shop to work on their Toyota. read more

Being new to the area, I was a little skeptical about taking my car in to the dealerships of Toyota as I read many terrible reviews. So I decided to ask my neighbors on Nextdoor. They highly recommended Daniel at Toyworx. I made an appt and took my car in and decided to wait. WOW! 45 min later, my car has been checked for the 30,000 mile. Toyworx won't disappoint you! I am lucky that I live close to them as I will be a loyal customer. Thanks Daniel! read more

Daniel is an amazing business man. His staff and quality of work is the best in the five cities

This is coming from a girl's whose family owned and ran a Chevy dealership for over 50 years. But when the parents got a divorce, Dad bought a Toyota. It became more and more difficult to bring it into the San Luis Toyota shop even though it's closer to home. My tire sensor read that a tire was flat, yet the tires were all correct. Wanted to charge me over $100 to run a diagnostics and replace the sensor. Only did Toyworx find that the spare tire did, in fact, need some air I would much rather support these guys than the dealership. Factory Trained specialists- They know their stuff, always courteous, reliable, and never do I feel like I'm getting the run around. So when I walked in today I was kinda excited to see their little waiting area. Maybe I've been completely oblivious or they added a magazine table and a snack machine. At any rate, I get a kick out of the shop dog. read more

After glowing recommendations from two of my neighbors, I decided to have my Toyota checked out by Daniel and the guys at Toyworx. It was a great call as the price was right and the work was excellent. Found out while I was there that another neighbor is going there, too. Thank you! read more

I checked this place out due to the constant 5-star ratings on Yelp, Google, and other review sites. Since they're only a few blocks away from where I visit family I decided to check them out since stupid me jammed a screwdriver into the bulb socket of a map light as I upgraded my lights to LED and blew out a fuse (whoops!) Not only was the problem resolved but it was a lot less to get that issue fixed with Toyworx than it would've at a Toyota dealership! If you have a Toyota or a Lexus, do your a wallet a favor and check these guys out! You won't regret it! I'm going to recommend this place to my Toyota and Lexus owning friends and family on the Central Coast and will come to them in the future when my car needs service and I happen to be in California (I'm in California often and they're worth it!) Thank you, Toyworx! read more

They are very professional, the place is clean but most of all the mechanics are good and the prices are fair. Many automotive businesses try to take advantage of women, there's no need to worry about that at Toyworx, they are very honest. I highly recommend Toyworx. read more

My son referred me to Toyworx. I stopped in and Daniel was able to get my car Maintenance taken care of same day. Very please!

I had just passed Santa Maria on Hwy 101 going north to San Simeon coming from San Diego, and my '07 4-Runner started jerking, the engine and VSC lights came on. I had to pull over and find a place to immediately take my car in. I tried to look for a place that specializes in Toyotas and found ToyworX. I called and spoke to Daniel and he said they didn't have any availability till next Tuesday , but I told him that I'm from out of town just passing through and explained what the car was doing and he made an exception. Mind you, he was kind enough to accept my car not knowing what the job would entail. It could have been a major project, but luckily it just needed the spark plugs to be replaced. They got to my car pretty quick and diagnosed it fast and got me back on the road in no time. I appreciate Daniel and his team first for their kindness, their professionalism and knowledge. Glad there are still people out there like Daniel and shops like ToyworX that know their stuff. read more

Highly recommended by a friend of mine. Needed major work done on a Prius and had a problem with it afterwards. They fixed the problem for free, just in case their mechanic had caused the problem. Man, I cannot say enough good stuff about this place to do it justice! After years of dealing with crooked mechanics and crappy dealer shops, I found Daniel and his crew. They have literally saved me thousands of dollars in repairs by educating me as a toyota owner and driver. They do NOT do unnecessary work, but provide guidance in the shop and have provided coaching as needed when we were two states away. Great service. Fantastic knowledge. Friendly service. Professional. read more

After years of getting fleeced at the dealerships, I started taking my Toyota truck to Toyworx. I have been very pleased!! Daniel and his guys are honest, hard working professionals. They never try to sell me stuff I don't need. They don't change filters or plugs that are still good. They tell me honestly what needs to be serviced and what does not. After three visits I really trust them now and when they do tell me I need something major replaced, I will know it's the truth. I highly recommend you take your Toyota to Toyworx. I can't believe I haven't posted a review yet, since I've been a happy customer of ToyWorx for about four years now. I'll start by saying my Dad started a foreign car repair shop in Colorado in 1953, and my brothers have carried on the business and are ASE mechanics. I've been raised with the philosophy of a quality independent shop and what it takes to create such a long-term successful business. When I relocated to the Central Coast, I needed a new mechanic and new shop. Yelp reviews brought me in for my first Smog Check, but Daniel, Joe, and the whole team are why I come back. They are solid, both in their high level of customer service and their expertise in Toyota and Lexus. For my well-loved Tacoma, they do regular oil changes plus a major service last year. When I needed new brakes, I happened to be talking with my master-mechanic brother about car repairs. When I relayed some comments Daniel had made (like don't let the tire store scare you into a full brake job immediately because your brakes are still safe for another couple months), my brother was impressed and said that is exactly what he would have done--honest feedback, no oversell, keeping safety in mind, and staying on top of what each car will be needing to avoid more costly repairs later. ToyWorx is awesome, trustworthy, honest, and their shop is clean as a whistle. I'd give 10 stars if I could! read more
