My husband, and my parents, have been clients of Supreme Automotive for better than 3 decades, through probably 8 vehicles, and a change of ownership & location. I recently thought we might have to change because of something "unfortunate". As it turns out, the "unfortunate" was not really unfortunate at all. I've got an older manual transmission Mustang that was sounding bad when I put the clutch in. Since I was visiting my folks in Grover for Christmas, I decided to get it looked at while I was here. I'm getting kinda old so I've known ALOT of mechanics. Some good, some awful....but only a couple have really stood out. One of them was a cutie named Danny and he drove a Dodge and this was about 1977 so I can't remember too much, except for his blonde ringlets and that he was a great mechanic and drove race cars. Ahhh youth. The other one is Victor Delacruz. He doesn't have the ringlets or drive the car....but this fella is something else. He's without a doubt the most honest mechanic I've ever known, and that in itself is noteworthy. He continues to demonstrate that you don't have to pad invoices with unnecessary things that you don't need just to make money. And you don't have to overcharge either. If you treat your customers with respect and be honest with them and don't talk down to them like they're idiots, you'll have some extremely loyal and happy folks that will write good reviews and tell their neighbors and friends about this mechanic you know that you just have to try out. He's got a customer for life in me and everyone who I know or who will listen to me talk up Mr Vic. He's one in a million. read more

I have taken my van to Supreme Automotive on several occasions and was always treated with great respect and felt I was truly being taken care of. Every time my van is done on time, no problems and their work is Supreme. I am fortunate enough that we have a couple of mechanics in the family so my van is usually well taken care of. My oldest actually did his HS internship there for 6 Mos watching and getting some great experience from them. I fell in love with this place today.... I've been having issues with my battery and thought I had purchased it from Supreme Automotive. Turns out, I had it serviced there a year and a half ago but purchased it somewhere else. So I bit the bullet and had a new battery installed. Steve, the guy that wrote me up, couldn't have been nicer. While I waited the half hour it took to have the battery replaced, I ate a delicious home made cookie, chatted with the friendly staff, was offered a ride back home and just enjoyed seeing the staff's interactions with each other. I came here for a smog and unfortunately it failed because I had just replaced the battery and it the sensors hadn't reset. Which sucked but no big deal, just had to drive the car. Spoke with Steve who said to just bring the car back and theyll check to make sure that my sensors were working properly.. Great! So I come back in after about a week and I speak with Tory about being charged the same price as I was previously and he said that unfortunately they couldn't honor that. Ok, it's a business, I understand.. However as I am sitting there waiting for my smog to be completed Tory proceeds to give another customer the discounted price when they had the exact same issue as me. The customer had even used me as an example because he had over heard Tori tell me no. That is just horrible customer service and is the reason that customers will be rude. Then my car wouldn't start and Tory did not hesitate to jump at the chance to charge me more money to find out what the issue was. He even tried to use a scare tactic on me but I was absolutely not going to be giving them any more of my business, especially when I already knew what the issue was. I just asked for a jump and Steve pulled out the battery charger and gave me a jump. Steve is wonderful but it doesn't make up for what Tory did. read more

Awesome customer service!. I needed a quick smog check-certificate in order to sell my vehicle that day to the buyers. I made an appt., but I was done with the business part of the deal early, so I called to see if I could bring early, they said "bring it in". The only hang up was my cigarette lighter wasn't working so that would have been a fail, they found the fuse was blown, replaced it, viola, it was done! Took about 15 minutes from start to finish, only really had time for one homemade (office made) chocolate chip cookie, that were awesome by the way. read more

Was recommended by the tow truck driver, and I must say I'm glad he did. When I called, a very nice man by the name of Steve, gave us a great estimate and explained what could be done to remedy my car's issue. He kept me updated and let me know what was wrong with my car and detailed info on how it would be resolved, and what could be done in the future to make it run better. After it was done, checking out was seemless. Fixing a car is always a pretty penny, but it seemed realistic and he didn't push for additional services. He understood that car costs can be a doozy and he said that when we were ready, we could come back and do the other less necessary things. I was in need of a smog check and found a coupon for this place. Went in and they put my car on the machine and it passed. Then they did a visual check of my gas cap and saw a couple tiny cracks and told me that in order to get my certificate I had to buy a new gas cap......they wanted 25 dollars for something that would have cost me 8 at the parts store. I told them I would like to go and purchase a new one and then come back for the certificate. I was then told that if I left I would have to pay 50 for the smog all over again. Needless to say, I paid for an overpriced gas cap. I will NEVER go there or refer customers to them again. read more

A few years ago, they had my Bronco to get it back up and running. They illegally removed one of my two catalytic converters, when the California Air Resources Board clearly states that for my year of Bronco it needs two catalytic converters. Sketchy. Only service place I've been to since I got my car. They over charged for their services which I did not like but since I had used them I did it again and again. Until they charged me $350 for a service that others quoted at $75. Soon after that visit my ac went out. Went to Supreme Automotive for a 90K servicing for my 2012 Lincoln MKX. They did a "premium intake system cleaning" which cost $199. In 8 years of servicing, Lincoln in Santa Maria never performed such a "service." Turns out this had a real bad adverse effect on my catalytic converter. It cost me big $ to have both catalytic converters replaced by another auto service company. If they tell you your car needs this...DON'T DO IT! I will NEVER again take my car to Supreme Automotive in Oceano and I will tell others of my BAD experience. read more
