This is a great walking path with a neat set of natural + industrial views.
Another thing that makes it amazing is the occasional mob of ducks and geese and other birds. They are fun to watch. One thing I love about Akron is that when these guys decide it's time to cross the street, traffic stops dead and waits as long as it takes.
Parking in the trailhead lot lands you at a safe distance if you don't particularly want to encounter them. They aren't on the path and really won't bother you. If you do want to get a little closer (they are still wild and unpredictable) you might choose to walk a block to the baseball diamond where they congregate. read more
