When he had his initial office visit the office staff was great. He was prepared for a request to pay a large deposit, but the person he spoke to told him to just do a small amount until the insurance had settled everything. He had already had to pay a $3600 deposit to the hospital for his CT scan and another $2100 to the hospital again for the surgery estimate. As it turned out he had overpaid the hospital by $3000. When I called Dr. Logo's office about his bill, they told me to wait on the insurance to complete the claim and they will send him a bill. They were so nice to talk to and so aware of how hospitals are when it comes to collecting money they don't need to get. I highly recommend Dr. Lugo and his staff!

He argued with me about it for a good 10 minutes before he was finally able to open up the imaging and see what I was talking about... at that point, he conceded that it was NOT a hiatal hernia. He never bothered to apologize, just acted a bit sheepish as he told me how the repair would be done. I hope he was just having a bad day and isn't always so unwilling to listen to his patients, but I know he won't be doing any surgery on me.
