On our travels through this area, a really good server recommended this coffee shop in the town of Athens. We stopped by in the afternoon, within an hour of closing. The place was empty. Two staff members took our order; not too friendly. Our friends asked about snack-dessert options and one staff seemed offended and was sarcastic. Put our friends off. The only seating were two small tables outside. We didn't enjoy our mochas; too sweet and thin tasting. Maybe their black coffee is better? Looks like you could get in and out quicker than the busy downtown cafes but not sure we would return. read more

Cute coffee shop along the river. The free sunflowers were a nice touch. Service felt a little slow since there was only one person working there. I wish there was more seating. Granted, we did have a large group, but they had no indoor seating and even though they had a large outdoor space, they didn't have many tables and chairs, only enough for 3 small groups. Our large group mostly stood to avoid taking up chairs from other people. read more

Coffee is okay, I wouldn't say I would go out of my way for it. Limited menu and somewhat pricey when compared to other places in the area. I just order online and pick It up on the table outside when it'd ready. Would recommend their Toffee-Coffee, sweet and delicious! read more

What the heck- this place doesn't open until 9am and closes at 3pm and is closed Tuesdays and Wednesday's?!?! I just pulled up and they're closed RIGHT NOW at 2:08pm on a Thursday. What the heck!! It's a shame because they make a good late- but who in the heck runs this place. read more

I've only been to Town's End a few times, but each time I'm less impressed. The product they serve is fine, if you enjoy overpriced snobby coffees. However, the major disappointment for me is the terrible attitude of the lady who works there. She is unfriendly, unwelcoming, and not the least bit thankful that I'm a guest in her coffee house. I'm also confused as to why they don't offer seating inside. They must not want to be bothered by the paying public hanging around. I will not return again....3 strikes so they are out. I will continue to tell my friends my experience with their crappy customer service. read more

Small but packed with flavor. The drip coffee is very good and the cold brew is fantastic. The batch I had was from an Ethiopian variety and it really showcased the berry and mint notes of the bean. Just over the bridge from my favorite brewery, this place has jumped into my top two Athens coffee shops. Do yourself a favor: Take the Stimson Avenue exit off 33 and grab a cup today. read more

By far THE best coffee in town! The owners just know good coffee and take pride in making you a delicious cup of joe! Very nice view of the river if you want to just sit and enjoy the breeze too. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the absolute best coffee I've ever had in my life. Absolutely transcending experience, haha. It sort of ruined normal coffee for me, as everything else pales in comparison. As I'm the only one who drives, my SO often begs me, "can we go to the yummy coffee place now?" Along with other reviewers here, I'm also in love with the latte + oat milk. It foams up so nicely. Either plain, caramel or chocolate are all amazing in their own way and I recommend trying each of them. The macchiato is also divine, if you appreciate a good espresso. The couple who owns the place are dedicated and passionate, and very friendly. We once accidentally stopped by way before the place opened, and he flagged us down as we were heading back to the car and graciously served us anyway. This place is a new hidden gem! Stopped in after a bong hill hike for a water, and found my new favorite coffee shop. The cold brew slow drip coffee is outstanding. If you ask for Snowville, prepare for an interrogation about why you want it... followed by humiliating laughter.... then told to leave! And I was being NICE! Yeah, I kid you not... This guy cares zilch about his customers and his community as well! He laughed in my face when I nicely asked him to stock Snowville products.. then he asked if the last cup made me sick... which was funny to him!!! So he pretty much called me a liar, so I had to explain WHY I prefer it. I have a sensitivity to conventional dairy. Utterly humiliating!!! The last time I was in there (I went two... too many times clearly)... I neglected to ask because well.. it's pretty much standard for Athens coffee houses..... Plus... like many here in Athens... I only support local businesses that also support local businesses... which is one of many reasons I LOVE ATHENS! He said Snowville was too pricey... and that it was subpar (!!!) to the Kroger brand dairy he gets (the girl behind the counter said it was free half half- whatever that means!)...... I explained that Athens coffee fans are accustomed to paying the upcharge for the Snowville... especially half half like I get. At that point, he told me..... laughing in my face still... that I should go to the coffee shops that DO care. So yeah.. he kicked me out! Keep in mind... I was being very sweet the whole time. I should have gotten angry... but I saved it for this review.... to save those who actually care about local businesses... who have conditions that prevent them from drinking toxic Kroger garbage dairy... and who want to be respected patrons... from wasting their precious time and cash on this nonsense. I sincerely hope Athens sends this guy a strong message about who we are as a community... and what we expect from those who open businesses here. Shame on you... Town's End! read more
