I want to like this bakery so much, but twice it has fallen very short. Why?…read more I'd read a review about cakes--this must have been a comment about custom cakes because there were no cakes, cupcakes or anything like that there In fact, their total inventory included a few donuts, scones and cookies. I bought a few of each and none tasted particularly fresh (my visits have been in the afternoon) The second time the person at the counter was super friendly, so this is a plus. I do not believe I've met the owner. I'd be hard pressed to go back--just nothing really here to buy.

This place is SO good! There hasn't been one thing I haven't liked…read more FYI, it is hard to find. I went there yesterday and missed it and then went there again this morning and missed it again. Lol. The sign is small and it is in a lot with other businesses. They have coffee and various specialty drinks. They make custom cakes, cupcakes, and then have an assortment of pastries. I believe each week she has a different assortment of pastries available. I ordered a variety of donuts, chocolate pecan scones, a monster cookie, and she had two different kinds of cinnamon rolls. The monster cookie was delicious (there was only one left when I was there unfortunately). The chocolate pecan scones were awesome! There was an iced cinnamon roll and a maple icing cinnamon roll. I LOVED both the cinnamon rolls. They were both very soft and just right. I'm not a huge donut person but the donuts were very good! Stop and try this place!

A Pain Au Chocolat croissant better than what you'll find anywhere in France? I'm thinking yes. No,…read moreI'm telling you, yes! So rich and flaky, they've definitely done their homework, and this boy knows his croissants! I just got back from Paris (name drop.) This up-and-coming baker of the finest croissants this side of the Atlantic is located in Zanesville, Ohio, but you won't need a day trip to experience their flaky layers of perfection. You can find them at their Granville Market booth, at various Zanesville events throughout the year or now in Columbus, OH, at The Hills Market, in the freezer section in 6-count boxes. Even more exciting news is they bought a new place in May, are currently renovating and planning a late September 2014 opening of a storefront. Can. not. wait. Fall. road. trip. You can also order their goodies on their site, which I haven't done (obviously.) A 12 pack runs around $40, which is a little steep but once you do the math $3 each for such quality is quite a deal. Especially when round-trip tickets from Columbus to Paris is averaging what, $1100-$1700?

It's hard for me to get to come here, as they are only open on Tuesdays, but it's absolutely worth…read moreit if you're able! I decided to buy basically one of everything they had left(come early) and I was amazed with all of it. The croissants are what croissants are *supposed* to be, but the real star of the show for me was the mushroom quiche. I could eat those things daily and not complain. If you make your way in, be sure to try a little bit of everything. That's my only advice. Oh, and like I said, come early.

Four Turns Baking - Frozen 6-count boxes can be found at The Hills Market. I've only seen Plain & Pain Au Chocolat. Others available on their site.
