We were very excited to have a studio to be apart of in RB. After one Pee Wee Acro class however, I…read morewould not recommend this studio for you or your child Or anyone. It felt very Exclusive And did not promote positive self image or emotional well being or expression for a child. Instead it reminded me of the bad stereotypes ppl experience in Cheer with exclusivity, shaming, and mean- girl behavior and overzealous cheer moms. For one, instead of showing up as is to have fun and learn there is a mandatory dress code using their branded outfit/uniform (can't buy tights from a store). Which everything is expensive. Then they sell other items like off brand crocks for $86!, branded dance bags ect. Which is outrageous and makes kids without feel like the outsider. The coaches were mean (in my and my child's opinion), strict, and did not teach any new skills or acrobatic technique. They focused on a single dance routine to showcase at end of year. They made demands instead of making your child feel warm, welcome and congratulations for making good efforts in class. Made multiple requests for my daughter to clean her feet in class !? She's 8 and went to class in uniform right after school - class started at 5:30. They did not teach the standard 8 count to structure their dance. Kids were frantically looking to the teacher every practice for them to yell out demands of placement and moves to the kids instead of teaching how to listen to que or counts from the music. The amount of makeup they require for Pictures and rehearsal was gross. Children should not feel like beauty and grand presentation requires make up and fake curles. A tone of makeup was mandatory. Picture day ($$) and the end of session recital were not scheduled during regular practice session. Parents had to pay $22 for a ticket to see their kid. Recital week was multiple 4pm-8pm rehearsals. How they made time for dinner IDk. We weren't able to participate in the recital which was supper unfortunate- they completely ignored me when I asked if I could get the recital outfit we paid for to take home, or receive a full or partial refund -which was very Bizarre (yes I read the contract: despite it being in the contract that it was automatically paid for up front as a separate purchase) . All notices and communication was required through a separate app, which wasn't supper easy to navigate or effective when you had specific questions. They were not helpful or provided detailed information. It was like you had be be apart of some exclusive secret club if you wanted to know all the details of pic day, parade, recital, what to bring, uniform requirements. Very difficult to get clear and direct information. Lastly, you Can't wait or watch your kid inside the studio for practice. All the other parents I've spoken to prefer CALIFORNIA DANCE COMPANY in Anderson CA. It's worth the drive if you can do it!

To see the shear joy and excitement on her face is priceless. Her teacher is so patient and the kids just adore her. If you are looking to sign your child up for dance class look no further. This is the perfect place.

Apollo School Of Music - Having fun with Ukuleles in Alex Rosales' class!

Been meaning to write this review for awhile…read more This place is awful. We signed our seven year old up for ukulele lessons and he was so excited! We got a teacher that honestly just sucked. We had signed up and prepaid for thirty minute lessons once a week. Not only was he flakey, but when he didn't postpone our lessons, he was mostly late to them. He didn't make up the time at the end of the lesson, but often also cut the lesson short. If it wasn't one or the other, it was both. He also consistently came unprepared. Spent a large portion of the lesson printing out sheet music. Why hadn't he done that previously? I couldn't tell you. Then he would chat with our son asking HIM to choose the music. Our son just wanted to learn, he didn't care what they played. And even when he did select something, the teacher would then spend the remainder of their time attempting to search for and transcribe the music. We attempted to reach out to the owner several times. Our names and number were taken each time, usually without a call back. When we did get calls back, it was from the manager or from a woman who could have also been a manager, both of whom were very rude. When I finally spoke to the owner, he seemed to want to be proactive about it. Offered to compensate us for several lessons that we either never received or that were only given partially due to tardiness or incompetence. He also switched us to a different teacher. Apparently we weren't the only ones with complaints about the other guy, so they fired him. The new teacher, Alex, is probably the only person who provided a positive experience for us at this place. I wish he'd just do lessons on his own as we would never recommend anyone go through this place. In the end, we never saw a penny of a refund. No lessons up ended up being credited as promised. And worst of all, they tried to claim we owed them money. For what, you ask? Lessons that were never given while they claimed to be "working all of this out". If I could give this place zero stars, I would. You're better off learning an instrument from your family friend or your dad with mediocre guitar skills from his high school garage band days than you would be at this place.

Ade was excellent and is highly recommended…read more I found this piano on Freecycle, but it had been in storage for years. My son's piano teacher recommended Ade, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I was fearing a high cost due to how long it had been since the piece had been tuned, but Ade found that it was in much better shape than expected. As a result, while I feared an expensive visit, it turned out to be relatively quick to get back into playing shape and clean for $200. Ade's professionalism, warm demeanor, expertise, and honesty were a welcome change from other experiences with private contractors. I enthusiastically recommend hiring Ade if you need a piano tuning.

I am extremely pleased with my experience…read more Mr. Porter was above and beyond my expectation. It had been over 30 years since the last tuning was done to our family upright Wulitzer Piano, which was very difficult to play years ago, and became just a large albatross in our house. I called Mr. Porter, and scheduled an appointment. He was prompt and professional upon arrival. I introduced him to the family piano and he proceeded. He started with a visual diagnosis, and explained his process to me in great detail. He was well prepared for the job, and was meticulous in his preparation to clean, service and tune my 60+ year old piano. As he dismantled the necessary areas, he protected each section of the piano as he acquired access to the strings, and made sure to use extra care not to lose any of the parts, large and small. He checked each string, and using care and caution, he proceeded to correct and repair each string to perfect sound quality. He finished the job, including reassembling the piano, and cleaning each and every key to perfection, in just under 3 hours. When he left, and I went to the piano, after almost 30 years, I played my old familiar tunes, and I actually cried. The piano sounded so beautiful, it was like having an old familiar friend back in my life. Mr. Porter, thank you. I am happy to give you a 5 Star rating.
