My caregiver had to rearrange the room so that i could fit my wheelchair next to the bed just so that i could sleep. The room only had 1 bed so my caregiver had to stay on the floor above me so anytime i needed help they had to run down flights of stairs or wait for the very slow elevator. There was a huge bug in the room and when brought up to the front desk they said it's fine they eat the smaller bugs in the room, my question is why is there bugs in my room, big or small? There was a family above my room that had younger kids who screamed and ran around the room until 10 and when i called front desk to ask if they could tell them to be a little more quiet, i was told he'd try and it was over an hour until they finally did be quiet. The breakfast was horrible, the waffles tasted like lucky charms and for the 4 days i was there they closed breakfast early. I stayed for 4 days and never had room service come once, they say they come every 3 days but yet when you get the room they only gave us 2 towels, I ended up having to ask for my own towels Bottom line don't stay here unless you like being ignored and inconvenienced

In the morning we could hear people starting their showers. Before 9am, the maids were vacuuming next door and carrying on an overwhelmingly loud conversation. The breakfast was complimentary, but nothing to write home about - waffle maker, cereal, pastries and cold coffee. The hotel is definitely dated, but everything worked. I thought it would come with good ratings and at less than $100 a night. I thought it would be a great place to stay and share a room with someone and keep the cost low. It came with the continental breakfast However, the coffee was weak, even though it poured out of that machine and my only options for food was for carbs, cereal, muffins, bagels, and toast. Our room was extremely clean, bathroom showed some age. Towels were really white! Beds nicely made, my roommate chose to sleep under the sheets. I just sleep on top. Think I couldn't get the motel vision out of my head. But I would live on those pillows. The front desk manager was amazing, one of our rooms had an expired smoke alarm, once we told her she was there to replace the batteries. It was so cold outside however, once we turned the heat on the rooms were so warm and toasty and felt great. It was something really nice to come back to after being on the Snow trails and just sleep. I would probably go back.

UPDATE I paid $475 for another week from August 16th to August 23rd and on August the 19th I was showering early in the morning I decided to shave and when I turned on the sink water all of a sudden the valve below broke and started shooting water everywhere the water pressure was so hard it would almost shoot all the way to the door I used my fingert plug the hole to keep it from flooding the whole place I called the front desk and he came down and then called the manager when the manager walked in the door he told me to pack my s*** and get out I said what do you mean I didn't do anything all I did was turn the water on he said no there's no way that that would break unless you touched it I said sir I did not touch it I have no reason to lie to you I have no reason to deliberately break something in here so anyways he ended up fixing it he didn't help clean the room at all he didn't even get me extra towels I cleaned the whole thing up with the towels the best that I could and they must not have mop too much because the towels were almost black from the dirt on the floor anyways the manager left I laid back down I had been awake all night and then a phone call came through on the hotel phone and he told me I had to check out by 11:00 and that he would refund me the remaining days at this point I was agitated with this guy and I just decided to leave I went out front to get the refund receipt and it was only for $133 not $339 like it was supposed to be I asked him why is this not what it should be he said cuz you broke that valve I said sir I did not break the valve he said well you're not getting anymore my mom picked me up and I was so upset because I lost $339 she went in and tried to talk to him and he was so rude to her saying he broke that on purpose I had no reason to break it on purpose he then followed us out to the car and continue to yell at us I continue to tell him sir I did not break that when I turn the water on all of a sudden it just started squirting out down there I tried to stop at the best that I could and call you right away I just want to get a refund for my $339 I tried to call corporate and they said you have to talk to the manager I can't talk to him cuz he's a problem I asked them for a number of his supervisor they said we don't know that I'm completely disgusted I've never been treated so badly and I've never had this at a motel 6 before. I also told him that every time somebody flushes the toilet or showers upstairs water comes out to smoke detector. This place has a lot of maintenance issues and is run down none of the vending machines work I put a dollar in the pop machine and it goes to dispense but there's no pop in it and then I try to get my money back or get a pop and the management gives me an issue about that I understand they want to make money but ripping off their customers it's not a good way to do it anyways if corporate sees this I just want to get my $339 back. For anyone else avoid this motel at all costs go to the Ashland and the Surrey in the Wingate the Hampton or the quality inn before you even consider this hotel

The College House B&B is lovely, with a very friendly owner, Kathy Kollar. While there isn't a common living room in the house, the dining room is spacious and does have some extra chairs for conversation. There is a small parlor/office that has a piano and lots of books. The best common room is the screened-in patio at the back of the house; it has lovely wicker furniture and lots of space for conversation, games, reading or times of quiet. There's also a small exercise room with a treadmill! There are 4 guest rooms, each with its own "department" theme (Music, History, English and Art). I've stayed in the Music and English Department rooms. Each had a flat-screen TV with cable as well as a VCR/DVD player, jetted tub, (the one in the English room is HUGE!) and heated tile floors in the bathrooms. There are comfy robes in the closet for use while at the inn. There is also a small library of VHS tapes and DVDs to borrow. You will always find chocolate by your bed, too. A lovely touch. Naturally, breakfast comes with your stay and Kathy serves the meal at whatever time you desire. I've had breakfast all along the morning spectrum, from 6 through 9! Her breakfasts are always delicious, and are nicely varied. Sometimes a simple waffle with sausage, the next day a perfect quiche. Her specialty is "candied" bacon that is downright addictive! There's always fresh fruit and good coffee. During my most recent stay she had a couple of vegans in the house (I'm 90% vegan) so she made some extra special veggie sausage patties for us (homemade...no soy protein!) and a delicious tofu scramble. Kathy is always willing to change up her menu to take dietary restrictions into account. She loves to treat her guests well! In the dining room you will find a small fridge, microwave, water cooler/heater and plenty of tea, hot chocolate packets and popcorn. If you peek into the kitchen, there are usually fresh baked cookies or brownies under a glass dome, luring you to come in and enjoy! This is my home-away-from home in Ashland and I hope more people will discover this place and enjoy Kathy's delightful hospitality!!

Alta's flowers were breathtaking! They were so big and beautiful it was difficult to pick which one you wanted. Mom and I always came home with a truck full of flowers. I still order flowers from her because they are always on time and you are never disappointed. The prices are reasonable. I usually order an angel to put in my arrangements. I was expecting a small one, but she put in a nice sized one of good quality and she even added a big pink bow! I always have tears in my eyes when I see my arrangements because they stand out from all the rest. Alta will go the extra mile to make your arrangement one of a kind. Sharon Workman
