The shower gets warm but not hot. Was told this is due to the way the shower was installed and they need someone to fix the renovations. Finally the breakfast is lackluster, and most of the time the coffee is empty. They have lots of room for improvements.

Our stay was in mid-late June with all things COVID19 hopefully coming to an end. Unfortunately the pool was still closed and breakfast was reduced to either grab and go or pre-packaged pastries. Bathroom was a fair size and room was clean. Bed was ok, pillows were awful. There are plenty of eating options around as Applebee's and Cheddars are both in walking distance from the hotel. Options to pick up any additional supplies are al nearby. Honestly, there isn't anything remarkable about this hotel. It certainly fits the bill if you need to spend a night in this vicinity. Hopefully Hilton gets back to pre-COVID19 operations soon , well except for the extra cleaning standards.

I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of amenities, as there was a tall fridge (a mini-one, but about three feet tall), a complete set of toiletries and a hair dryer. The desk area was very nicely set up. Little things like that can go a long way. Usually I'm not a fan of rooms with double beds, but this bed felt bigger. Maybe it was just the size of the room and the overall atmosphere that gave that perception. All I know is that I fell sound asleep very quickly. The woman at the front desk (who was there the night at check-in and also at check-out) was very courteous and friendly. She genuinely wanted to ensure that I had a pleasant stay. The only small concern I had was that the door at the front entrance was kept open 24/7. This allowed a lot of bugs, including mosquitoes, into the hallways. I must stress that the room was spotless and had no pests whatsoever. It does appear that the front desk is manned at all hours, so safety was not a concern.

He said that was a bad idea because the mattress might pop. This got my friend really nervous, he asked why a blow up mattress would pop sitting on the hotel room floor? Is there broken glass or needles or something in the rooms? I got to the hotel first, sat in the parking lot for 15 minutes WATCHING AS PROSTITUTION OPENLY OCCURED. There were 4 hookers and a pimp working at the front of the parking lot, right in plain view of the manager's office. Guys would walk or drive up and the girls would walk them over to some room. This was the front of the parking lot, at the front of the hotel. In the back of the parking lot there were a couple small groups of guys just sitting around staring at me and the other nervous looking people that pulled in. Perhaps completely innocent, but i got the strong impression they were drug dealing. Either way, being as my car was completely loaded with stuff, i felt COMPLETELY unsafe to stay at the hotel overnight. The chance of my waking up to a broken window and all my stuff gone seemed too much of a risk. All i wanted to do was get far, far away! Reserved a room at the motel 8 on my phone while watching the prostitutes continue to ply their trade (the motel 8 was just fine, stayed several nights) and called the manager of this hotel on the way out to cancel my reservation. he told me he was going to still charge me 75% on my credit card - even though they had no cancellation policy displayed at www.booking.com and that we had never been told this when we booked the room. I told him this is illegal, and that other illegal activities were happening in the parking lot (prostitution) that he had to know were happening, and that there was no way i could feel safe leaving all of my stuff in the car at night. Sure enough, they charged my AMEX card anyway. I called AMEX to dispute it, they told me the hotel can only charge if i signed a cancellation policy (i never signed anything). So it appears they charged my card illegally, hoping I wouldn't dispute it. Called AMEX, they said don't worry about it, there is no way they will allow the charge to occur. So, bottom line is, if you want to have a stay reminiscent of scenes from a Quentin Tarantino flick, this may be the perfect place for you. Otherwise, I would recommend avoiding it like the plague.

Also, that evening I decided to go an locate the pool as an option for some entertainment. I finally did find the pool and it was closed and all busted up. The next morning, we decided to go down and try out the breakfast that was included. We arrived at 8:00 and found just about everything except for the waffle batter to be nearly empty. I won't go into details, but lets just say the pictures speak for themselves and that both myself and my wife ended up with some gastrointestinal issued later on. I told them the reviews I read and he let me inspect the room BEFORE booking. The wallpaper is peeling, carpets are old, place is outdated BUT they are working on it! Cut them some slack while they update and become better. The price is great for the area and if you are looking for cheaper hotels be happy they are still in the price range and it's only until they get completely remodeled. I am a traveling nurse and this suited me fine. I am literally going to sleep and shower here and it is perfect and cheap for those options.
