I just bought A 2000 SUV with 252,000 miles on. It's a Ford Excursion with the 7.3L Diesel engine that's virtually bulletproof. I have an identical one with less mileage on it but it's 2wd and not 4wd like the one I bought. Salesperson was Charles Lancaster and his partner Shiela, both cordial but not very well versed in this particular model. Since I have the XLT 2wd I knew a lot about it. After driving for several thousand miles, hi found a lot of problems it looks like it's been an accident but they told me when I bought it that the Carfax was clean. Looks like they were wrong! I'll probably keep the car for awhile eventually I'll get something else! read more

Never spend your money here unless you want a piece of shit. I spent 8000 dollars on a 204 jeep grand Cherokee that was sold to me under false pretenses. Was told minor issues needed to be fixed the truck ended up with a 9000 dollar repair bill because it came with a blown head gasket and literally had none of the ac components ie. heater core, evap core, compressor, condenser, or ac assembly box. Took it back to them to fix they rigged it up and made it even worse then attempted to give me half my money back for a car that didn't last 2 months these people are scam artist stay very far away!!!! read more

I purchased a 2011 BMW 750I on 1/16/2020. My check engine light came on as I was on my way back home... Mind you I drove over 155 miles to purchase. I spoke to my saleman Eddie who stated I needed to drop it back off... Ummmm not as easy so we decided I would take it local to read the codes. It had 3...i kept getting the run around about what they meant. I was then told that the nechanic says it's probably a #5 misfire and they would send me the part ( still at my expense to replace) I've made several phone calls and sent many texts in regards to fixing.. Ext warranty information.. And tags. For a week I was being told that the tag and title clerk was out and that I'd have them the day before. I called the day of... Told again that ckerk was out but he did remind me that I forgot my emissions.. Well I can't pass emissions with a check engine light on. And I can't with a engine misfire... I would knowingly fail. As of now less than 3000 miles later my transmission has slipped and atuvk in 2nd gear. I called the dealer while on the side of the road.. I wasn't aware it was a cell number. I get a call back from C Lancaster yelling WHERES THE FIRE? I had to ask Mr Lancaster to have some compassion and would be be OK with my situation if it was his wife or daughter? He continued to berate me! I asked fir a manager... He says they don't have one! I'm confused because my salesman Eddie McDaniel kept passing me messages from the manager.... I now have a vehicle I paid $11k for... It's pretty but non operational !!! BUYER BEWARE read more

My Transmission went out in my 2013 Nissan Sentra and the extended warranty isnt covering it because the issue was pre-existing due to the time frame of the claim. ASC warranties states that Towne Auto Broker should have addressed this problem at time of sale, which i signed a "SOLD AS IS " document. I only signed this document because i was under the impression that i was covered for the most part by the extended powertrain warranty I purchased. Towne Auto Brokers - This is the car I bought. It's a great car except the a/c died almost immediately. - Car Brokers Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

I bought a 04 Colorado from this place. With a new inspection on it should have never passed in inspection. The whole frame is rusted out to where the sway bar and control arm fell off. I then got the state police involved they did there investigation and found that the inspector should have never put a inspection sticker on this vehicle. So I have been trying to contact town auto to let them know about the issue they will not call me back. Then I had to get a frame fabricator owner of old Dominion welding to fix that one spot and found out the whole fram is rusted out. The fabricator contacted town auto and they said they dont know who I am. Well needless to say i will be out there Saturday 7/4/20 to protest on this business all I ask is for them to pay to have my frame fixed read more

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. If your desperate for a vehicle avoid them at all cost. If you can don't buy from them with out taking it to your own mechanic first. They will sell you an over priced mechanically junk car. And if you try to use the warranty or good faith after you will be turned away even if you have proof that the damage was there before you bought it. i bought my cadillac at the end of January and have had nothing but problems with this vehicle. I have had to get the computer reprogrammed because none of the codes matched my vehicle. This dealership does bait and switch deals. They sent a buyers order to my father from out of state after a price out the door was negotiated. After making the 400 mile drive he signed the papers and was good. He went home and the new buyers order had changed the price of the vehicle and excluded the sales tax. At first they said they would send him a check but now refuse and said that was never agreed on. The employees are rude and customer service is all around horrible. NO STARS! DO NOT BUY FROM TOWNE AUTO BROKERS! On 03/20/2020 I purchased a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport. It hasn't even been 30 days and I've had nothing but issues with this vehicle, I've taken this vehicle back twice to be "fixed" only to have more issues occur. (Small issue, When purchased it was never disclosed that the sunroof doesn't work. The listing I have printed clearly states that there is a sunroof. But dishonest, and shady) The biggest issue is the suspension issues That have been "fixed" even multiple times now but some how each time end up much worse. The wheel shakes, it's has a terrible grinding and clanking noise when the wheels are turning. The mechanic Tony told us it was a bushing, and easy fix. I've had to take this vehicle to Virginia Beach (almost and hour away so that's 2 hours of drive time made on 2 of my vehicles) and drop it off, pretty much every weekend since we bought it. The communication between this company is laughable, We have been dealing with Eddy, according to him "his boss" AMINE would be contacting us personally. We have not received a call, text or even an email, to express concern or how to move forward with these issues. Amine has done all of that he can to run around and avoid contacting us to fix this issue, his only concern is to get over on his warranty. This has been the ABSOLUTE WORST buying experience, I've ever had. Not only have the multiple trips to the lot been inconveniencing, but the issue was never made a priority and still haven't been fixed. This vehicle was purchased to transport my family of five. The safety of the customer doesn't matter to this business. The "Simple" repairs would take all day, and still haven't been fixed. I've never felt so cheated out of my money. This place is a one giant scam, their vehicles and costumer service is Garbage. When buying a used vehicle from a used car lot there are gonna be things expected maybe some cosmetic issues, scratches, dents, worn seat, worn carpet, but the over all vehicle should be safe to drive. This vehicle is in safe. read more

I would leave less stars if I could. Avoid this place. My boyfriend and I went here to look at a truck. We had cash in hand and we had previously called about the truck. Upon arrival, we were informed that the truck was sold. I asked to see other vehicles and the man would not even get up and show us options. He said look at what's out there, mind you none of them had a price or mileage or years on them. The man was unwelcoming, unprofessional and acted like we were a bother. Do not shop here. read more

Update: This was a 5 star review until it came time to get my title. I just returned from the middle east and didn't have a set address yet. I told him that and he assured me they would call before sending it via FedEx... time passes and I inquire about it, only to find out it was sent USPS to an address I specifically said not to send it to. One person says it was someone else in Admin who didn't know and Admin says he didn't provide any of that information. Now they are trying to track it down and get it returned by USPS, or have to apply for a duplicate title... that also mean I'd need an extended temporary tag. All the while I'm in a different state now with an actual address and need to complete new registrations. I told her on the phone: I did my part, I test drove and bought a vehicle and paid for it in full. All this person has to do was make sure I got a title, knowing I wasn't settled yet. Is that too much to expect? Apparently so. Original Review: I looked for trucks all over the place and then found my ride on yet another website. They had a few to look at, and one outside what I wanted to spend... which of course was the one I wanted. I called and got Aaron on a Saturday late. But i wanted to see it the next day, Sunday. Most places were closed including this one... but Aaron agreed to show me the trucks anyway and when he found out I didn't have a ride, he picked me up. Great sales trick to pick someone up on the ride they want most. Lol and it worked too. I looked at all the other "gals and guys" on the lot... but couldn't leave Bella behind. We struck a fair deal and I wrote the check. I like the no pressure sales I got from Aaron and the group here are pretty laid back. The rides are really nice in this place too! They have all kinds of rides to chose from, you can see the inventory online. Call ahead to make sure your favorite is still available. If I wasn't headed out of town I'd have driven Bella by the dealership that let me go and showed them how it should be done. read more

Super disappointed in you guys. Everyone in there was so nice and I really wanted to believe that I had found a decent used car dealership. I bought this 4Runner with a new inspection sticker from July. I bought it July 18th and finally got around to taking it to the shop for leaking power steering fluid (which it did since I bought it.) When he put it up on the lift, the mechanic pointed out that the frame was rusted and rotted out and not safe to drive. I had 2 mechanics and a State Trooper from the Inspection station check it out. All said it was not safe to drive and never should have passed inspection or been sold by your dealership (or anyone) in that condition. When I brought it back, the owner was as nice as could be and immediately offered my money back. I wanted to believe he really didn't know about it but he did, because he never even went and looked at the truck before refunding me. If he hadn't known, I'm sure he would have wanted to see for himself before giving the money back. Also, if you're in the business of selling cars, you should know what you're selling. I was sold a vehicle that was unsafe to drive, therefore endangering my life, as well as wasting my time. I was just lucky I took it into the shop when I did. If I had waited another few months then at best, Towne Auto Brokers probably would have said the inspection was older and it must have happened after I bought the vehicle. At worst, I could have gotten into an accident when the frame gave way on the highway and I could have been hurt/ killed or killed someone else. The kicker is that they turned around and put it right back up for sale. 3 days later I saw it online and sent a message asking about it. They said it had just sold. I asked if they had put a new frame on it, and they said "It's being done now." Highly unlikely. The mechanic told me it needed a whole new frame, not just to be welded together which is a huge job. Even with a new frame, the differentials will still be rusted out. So some poor unsuspecting person is driving it around right now and hopefully they will find out before the frame falls apart on them while they are driving and they are hurt or killed on the road, due to Towne Auto Broker's negligence. It was a 2006 Dark Blue 4Runner, VIN # JTEBU1RX68054094. Extremely untrustworthy place and obviously have no hesitation about selling something unsafe for the road. read more

My husband and I looked everywhere for a decent car. We came here thinking that we found a diamond in the rough. This 2009 Volkswagen Passat was the cleanest car we found in Hampton Roads. We've only had the car for 2 months and it is now in a repair shop with internal engine issues. We paid cash for the car and didnt think it was necessary to get warranty service coverage. It's wasn't our primary car but figured we could get 2-3 years out of it and be fine. NOPE. Sooooo disappointed because customer service was GREAT! read more

We live in PA and drove 6 hours and we couldn't take it back but my boyfriend put a $200 payment down to save the car for this coming weekend to buy it and pick it up. From the moment I walked in the door I felt like I was bothering the employees. Spent a few days in contact with the salesperson about a vehicle that they had just received. The day I received a few photos I was told it was being detailed and sent for state inspection. Told him I was coming straight after work and will be there. When I walked in I was told oh we just got a deposit on that 15 minutes ago. That's how car sales work with the shrug. Hope you didn't drive too far. Towne Auto Brokers - Car Brokers Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Honestly, one of the WORST car buying experiences of my life. Purchased a car from them in 2018, we did a trade in and initially we were told we would get $750 for my car, but when we went back the next day to finalize the deal we were told $250 was the best they could do. I wish I had followed my gut when that happened and walked away because i felt that was kind of shady, but I didn't. We ended up buying the car and noticed the next day that there was a major oil leak, we went back immediately and their mechanic confirmed it did indeed have a leak, we did everything we could to have the leak repaired or to return the car but the manager continuously dodged our calls s never returned our messages. We finally went in there to speak to them in person and were told they would fix it but we would have to pay for it. There is no way they did not know about this oil leak! We took it to a reputable garage for it to be fixed. They also had 30 days to send us our plates and tags, we were told over and over they were on their way and they never showed so on the day before the temporary plates expired I had to go in once again and ask for our plates. Absolutely incompetent scummy business. read more

The worst auto dealer I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Especially Mr. Charles Lancaster. This guy knew exactly what car I wanted. We discussed the vehicle through the TrueCar app. I selected what vehicle I wanted to get and he contacted me immediately. I responded back to him but he said he was already off for the day and said he would contact me the next morning. He never called. I contacted him to see if the car was still available and what time they closed. He said 6. I said I would be there before they closed. He called me later in the afternoon to ask if I was coming and I told him I was in route. After driving over and hour from Newport News he tells me he sold the car the night I inquired about it tried to act like he didn't know which car I wanted. Then they ask if I want to look at a similar car that was more in price. Bait and switch it what this is called. I will definitely never buy anything from these folks and definitely tell everyone I know to never go here. Good job Charles. read more

This place is a scam! Paid cash for a car in Dec but there were several things wrong with it so left it a the dealership to fix. I bought a 2003 Avalanche from here in April 12, test drove it on April 10, and after buying the Avalanche didn't make it 20 mins off the lot when the rear end went out. Fortunately they did replace entire axle assembly with one from a Salvage yard I was told by the head mechanic. I had to pay for the towing from where it was at to back to dealership for them to repair. My insurance company and attorney both agreed they should have covered the towing. Waited 8 days for the truck to be repaired so that was a week without it. Communication with these people is piss poor as I still have not received the title for the truck yet. I can't believe it takes 4 weeks to get a title when the truck was paid for in full. Called Friday May 3 and they said they were finishing the title and would be in mail this evening. Guess we will see. Come to the conclusion after they get your money and John Hancock, they don't give two about the customer, it's will get back to you in a text or I will find out. Save yourself the trouble by going to this place. I was interested in selling/trading in my current car for a much bigger car but under the same brand. So I pick up the iPad and type in what I'm looking for. Low and behold my old car shows up! I was excited to see that it was available and only a few miles from me because I always said I regretted selling the car. I contacted Towne about the vehicle and for a possible trade in. I spoke with Johann and he was very patient with me. Good. Great. After further upon speaking with him I told him he was asking too much for the vehicle since it was a salvage title. (I bought this car in California and traveled here a few years later.) I purchased this car the same year it was made with 8,000 miles for $17.5. They were asking 19.5 with 48,000 miles. Since I owned this car in the past, I obviously knew it's history. I.E. it was in theee accidents when I had it. Lost a battle to black ice, lost a battle with a deer, and lost a battle my neighbors car in San Diego. Again, I told them this. Johann was more than patient. Again, good. Great. My husband and I traveled down to see a Mini Cooper they had on their lot that I was interested in. Upon speaking with Johann again he told me that the owner wasn't interested in working with. Okay. That's fine. Not my loss, because I know I'll find someone interested in making some money. Buyer beware. They more than likely purchase vehicles from auctions that are from out of state and wipe the titles clear. My point being said, just save yourself the troubles and go to a more reputable dealership. Oh, and, my car that sold 7 months ago is worse shape now than when it was when I sold it. read more

would give this trash dealership a 1/2 a star if it was possible. They tried to sell me a flooded out local car. If you choose this place make sure you bring your own mechanic, cause the one they use is terrible. Second car they offered was ok, I purchased the extended insurance they offered and soon as I got it home they car broke down. There is more to the story the insurance I purchased didn't cover any parts or labor that broke on the car. The Saleman and owner told me I should've test drove the car more... Who says that?? TOWN Auto Brokers does. So since the insurance didn't cover any parts on the car, I tried to cancel it, they only sent me half of what I purchased the Insurance for, and they told me the owner of the car dealership Town Auto Brokers receives the other half. I purchased a volvo in June 2020; the car worked for about 5 days before it broke down. I was quoted a $1200 repair by the volvo dealer due to a negligent water leak that caused a main cable to rust out. It took me over a week to get Towne Auto to call me back. They had me tow the car to them at my expense and after another week they decided they couldn't fix it. The towed it back to the dealer and covered half the cost of fixing it. Now it has been 2 1/2 months and they still have not sent the check to my bank to close out the account and I still have to keep paying on a car I do not own. purchased a 2008 Ford F-150 from Towne Auto Brokers in October 2018 and initially received good service. On the way home (after the truck warmed up), it began to shudder and shake at 40-50 mph. I reported the problem immediately and took it to my own mechanic. I live about three hours away and I wanted to get an independent assessment. While there, my mechanic did an overall inspection and found the vehicle should have never passed the Virginia safety inspection (which it did the day I purchased the vehicle). There were several major safety violations. I quickly reported this to the dealer and was assured that the owner, Amine Bensallem, wanted to make the issue right. He called once, but has not returned my calls for more than three weeks now. In the meantime, I still have not received my title or tags. Because I live in NoVA, the truck must also pass emissions inspection. So I took the truck to another mechanic for that inspection and a second-opinion on the initial safety questions. The truck cannot pass the emissions inspection and therefore cannot be titled or tagged in Virginia. So now I have a $12,000 paperweight in my driveway and Amine Bensallem and his team at Towne Auto Brokers refuse to provide me with ANY solutions. It's now been more than a month and Amine Bensallem REFUSES to contact me to make this situation right. His staff sold me AN UNSAFE truck which has the potential to cause a catastrophic, life-ending accident for me or someone else and AMINE BENSALLEM REFUSES TO ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT. His staff keep promising that he wants to make things right which is A BALD-FACED LIE. Read the many other negative reviews on Towne Auto Brokers. This company has a LONGSTANDING REPUTATION OF FRAUD. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. I bought a Volvo from Christian and deeply regret it. They were supposed to fix the A/C and they didn't. It smells like rotten meat when I turn it on and is only marginally cooler than the surrounding air. I should have tested it when I picked it up, but I was too enamored of my open sunroof to bother. My expensive mistake. The only thing I knew when I walked in the door was that I wanted a reliable car. That was all I wanted, didn't have any other requirements. And the Volvo has now left me stranded 3 times in the fiscal two months of ownership. 2 of those were before I even made the first payment. I would categorize that as fraud, but I'm a little pissed about the whole thing. The first thing was a ruptured coolant tank on the third day I drove it. I had it towed at my own expense to their garage, and they replaced the part at no charge. But they wouldn't even give me an appointment to look at the other 2 issues. Oh, and the title has a "reclaimed" stamp. No mention of whatever turn of events led to that. And I have no idea what that even means or what problems it's going to cost me. Christian kept saying he would "see what he could do" for me, but ultimately all he really did was lighten my wallet. Liars and cheats, y'all. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. read more

AVOID THIS BUSINESS like the damn plague. They're scam artists, every last one of them. They sell terrible cars on the pretense that they are good vehicles. Definitely avoid this place! the 15k car I purchased had roughly 10k worth of repairs needed at the time of purchase. I found out when I took the car to an actual dealership and had it inspected after I got a check engine light on day 2 of owning it. They will try and sell you on the ASC warranty that will not cover anything they deem as "reconditioning" aka don't call before putting at least a few thousand miles on the vehicle. So while I purchased a car thinking it would have been properly inspected, and an extended warranty I was out thousands of dollars to fix the situation while the dealer refused to repair the car. Do NOT buy into the warranty they try and pedal. Do NOT buy into the wholesale car pricing... there is a reason they are priced low. Unfortunately there is no legal recourse... Learn from others mistakes and avoid this shady dealer. read more

Dont bother if you want a reliable and and trustworthy company. Or a well checked, fixed, or functioning car Bought my car here because I knew the sales associate. Test drove it twice while I was looking and loved it. Go to pick it up and not only is it not actually clean but there is a distinct noise coming from the engine. Was told it was ok it had been checked over. Drove for a few days and returned due to the noise. Left it all day and was again told they could find nothing. I knew this was a lie. I took my suv up to richmond to a family mechanic and within 30 minutes I was told the motor mount was broken. Well not only was I pissed that they had not fixes it they refused to reimburse me for the problem that was on them! Had to fight with them for weeks to pay for the broken part that was already broken when they sold me the car and they refused. Also my mechanic says that not only were they too lazy to actually fix this for me, they did not want to take the time to change the oil so they just dumped another bottle in it and called it a day. This overflowed the oil in my car and resulted in him having to drain all of it and " redue" the so called oil change they had done. Costing me another $80. I wouldnt buy from them ever again. I honestly wish I i could take my suv back and buy else where. read more

Do not purchase your car from this establishment. They did not follow through on their promises given to me during the purchasing process. I was promised a full detailing of the car yet when I received the car it was still dirty and there was a condom wrapper found in the back seat. Also upon purchasing the car there was a check engine light which they promised they would fix. Yet when I got the car the check engine light was still on. After driving for a few days I could tell something was not right with the car and had to take it into Firestone and discovered there were multiple issues with the car including having a tire on backwards. We had to pay almost $700 in repairs at Firestone and when we tried to get them to reimburse us the owner decided to give us nothing back since we didn't take the car back to them when these were things that should have been fixed correctly before even selling the car. Clearly they do not know how to inspect their cars because the issues that came up should have been found before I even purchased the car. So I would not purchase from them if I were you. read more

This is the most horrible experience in my life at the Holland Road location. I'm a Military spouse and I used our saving to purchase a used car for our daughter. My daughter and I were excited to finally make a decision to purchase a car because, we had been driving to several Car Dealerships to test drive cars throughout Virginia Beach and Chesapeake, VA. and we decided to give Towne Auto Brokers car lot an opportunity to show us what cars are in their inventory. On the day of delivery when we arrived there my husband wasn't impressed as he entered the establishment for the first time and saw a pool table in the center of the showroom floor, customers shooting pool, and walking by while you sit openly at a table a few feet away trying to conduct our business. We took delivery of it Sept 5, 2015. On the day of delivery as we were driving away we heard a strange sound. The car we purchased hasn't left their shop since the second week of purchase; we weren't given a car to use in the meantime. As of to date, Dec 06, 2015 we still don't have a vehicle but, they have our money. The vehicles exterior & interior looks great, low mileage but, has multiple hidden problems. This car turned out to not be dependable transportation. We had a 30 day warranty and no work was performed before it expired.
