Spicy bbq and dirty bird wings, side of ouch sauce and ranch
    Ben B.

Good "Hole in the wall" bar spot to grab burger with friend(s) low key and play a little shuffle or pool but even more importantly this place is #1 for chicken wings in Little Rock but must go Wednesday for $0.75 wing special to secure highest quality cook. Hidden menu items include upgrading spice level of Dirty Bird wings to "Angry Bird". Tots and fries equally good for side. Another special item hard to find a lot of places is pizza dip, prefer to have extra marinara sauce added to it.

12 Pieces Dirty Bird Wings with a side of Ouch!

Town Pump has the best wings in Central Arkansas. If you go you have to try the Dirty Birds. I like to get them with a side of their Ouch sauce. My mouth is watering as I type this. Amber always takes care of our group!

Friendly and fun!!! The folks at the Town Pump love to take care of their patrons. Hell many of the loyal patrons also take care of other patrons! Okay, I've said...patron more times than necessary! The Town Pump has tasty bar food...great hamburgers! They serve wonderful beers on tap and the place just feels comfortable. Okay, sometimes service is a little slow and on a rare occasion unattentive. But just give the staff a holler, they will apologize for visiting with folks on the other side of the bar and will promptly refill your mug. So, don't take it personally! The Town Pump is just right!!!

    Shuffleboard!

This is a dive bar that does everything any self respecting dive bar should do- Cheap drinks (real cheap), wraparound bar, chatty bartender, colorful regulars, and delicious, greasy food. If you ever wanted to walk into an episode of Cheers, this isn't a bad start. The Pump also does a lot more than I would normally expect of a dive bar, their beer selection is actually pretty impressive boasting plenty of options, even if not super fancy ones. And their wine list is a complete shock (three *different kinds* of reds and three different kinds of white? In a dive bar?! $5 a glass and not bad at all to boot, to really ice all over that metaphorical cake) The food menu also had me staring at it for way too long, making sure I was reading it right. I particularly enjoyed the nacho platter (first thing on the menu) because when you order it, you get to choose every layer one by one. Do you want classic nachos on chips? On fries? Choice of meat? And maybe best of all, the last step (toppings) is a "What DON'T you want?" Nice! They have a front patio that's screened in, for that indoor/outdoor combo vibe, and an outdoor back patio that's fenced and umbrella'd. That brings me to parking - parking in front is a small, crowded lot in the worst possible part of an intersection. It's not busy, but just do yourself a favor and cruise around back, the parking is wide open and better in every way. The back patio is also a way in during the day, but they lock that gate after dark. I'm stoked to have made this discovery, especially since they've got foosball, shuffleboard and pool!

Worst service ever. I'm a regular and embarrassed every time I bring new people. Hipsters are cool but the service is not cool.

Gutted and completely redone, this bar still serves up only beer & wine and attracts the local neighborhood late 20-30-somethings crowd. No food, but plenty of surprises await you... AMBIANCE Low lights enhance the dark wood and urban chic furnishings. The classic long bar has modern comfortable bar stools and those cool hangers for a handbag below. Booths and two-top bar tables are spread out and don't overcrowd the space. Even when packed with people, the crowd flow is still ok. For a dive bar vibe, this bar is spotless and stays clean. Separate men's & women's clean bathrooms are in the back near the door to their outdoor patio (not open yet, but I hear soon). Thursday-Saturday after 8pm it becomes THE place to be at night in this part of the city. Patrons during the day and during happy hour are mostly regular locals. This is a great place to meet, watch a game, play a game, share intriguing conversation, and enjoy beer and wine. Ask the bartender to show you a peek of the speakeasy door. Or don't. There is one salty bartender. BEER & WINE ONLY That said, the taps rotate an excellent sampling of local craft brews and popular national brands at very low prices compared to other local bars serving draft beer. Happy Hour daily, but not sure of what the hours or prices are. Just ask a bartender. The new keg beer system is ice cold and they seem to have just the right amount of foam as to not waste the draft. Those bartenders know how to pull a proper pint! Many other beers in bottles and cans are available. Yuengling Lager on tap ran out, but they had Yuengling Light available. They don't stay out long and the knowledgeable and polite bartenders will offer an alternative, not just say, they are out. The local popular Flyway Blue Wing was on-tap as well. The other taps spread the beer spectrum from sours to IPAs. The wine by the bottle or glass offerings are clearly well thought out with pricing and vintages meant to fit everyone's budget and wine palate. Specials by the glass are above on a chalkboard. I had a great 5 oz. glass of a Russian River Valley pinot noir, priced excellent. ENTERTAINMENT Along the mural painted East wall is a classic bar shuffleboard puck-style game. It's the one with the sawdust alley and you glide the pucks. Very cool and chill. There are two full sized billiard tables in the front center area of this bar. See the bartender with your ID and they will hand you the billiard balls rack. Nice new large televisions above the bar typically playing whatever is popular. The Olympic trials were on and the NBA finals at the same time. Bartenders are cool and will put on whatever you want within reason. Music is probably the best in the city, with the bartenders making their own playlist vibes. I think Spotify Pro with no commercials. Super groovy music, not just some selfish rando personal playlist. It's actually very well thought out. The music playlists are probably one of the most surprising things about this bar. Not too loud, just the right tempo, and a great balance of things you know and new music you want to know. Kudos to the sound vibe.

Ugh, when will this place get over itself?…read more In short, it sucks. Too loud, too smoky, and to top it off....no LIQUOR?? This kind of establishment makes me NEED stiff drink, so I was quite unsettled to learn it had none. The location has the potential to be great, but they definitely need a little help. Meanwhile, I'll go the extra half mile to Pizza D.

His bands had played there and I really trust him when it comes to food. He wasn't wrong. The Pizza was really good. The "cheesy bread" was literally just cheese melted on a hoagie roll. Skip it. Not worth it. Anyway.... we ended up being there like 2 hours. The person who took my order seemed to be in a mood but she lightened up some as we ordered. A little over a half hour in, I noticed people who came in after us were getting their orders, so I asked her where ours was. She said she would check it out but apparently never did. So my friend went to ask her where our food was and when my friend approached the chick was like "what's up?" Okay... like... again... what's going on with our food? We assumed that time she would check, but apparently she didn't. Because the third time we asked for it, someone else was there to help us and that's when we found out they lost our ticket. Thank gawds we had a receipt. Long story short, two hours later we got food so piping hot we had to take it back to the hotel to eat it. It was pretty stinking good once it was cool enough to eat. So maybe this was an off night for them. It was the dismissive attitude and being completely unconcerned that turned me off. If I was back in town, I MIGHT try it again if I'm not in a hurry just because the pizza was really good.
