Make sure you look at the dates of The past reviews. Those were from previous Ownerships. Well, the pump opened up under new ownership. I ordered the dirty bird chicken wings, and a bacon cheeseburger with fries. We had the first food that came out. Wings were cold and did not have much sauce on them. Ordered more sauce cost me a dollar for a little cup. We asked about the wings and they said they are smoked now so I'm guessing they sit back there under a heat lamp. Probably the reason they were very dry and I had to order more sauce. I was hoping that when I dipped it in the ranch it would help but none of the ranch stuck on my wing. I've seen water that was thicker. Was looking forward to the old bacon cheeseburger, the Pump used to serve. This cheeseburger is nothing like the old one. The size of the patty is what you get at a little league baseball game. It was also overcook and dry and cold. Wondering if that was under a heat lamp also. They do not have Bud Light or Coors light! PBR's are five dollars! Pitcher of beer is $25! No beer buckets! Looks like a dive bar doesn't taste or drink like one!!!! So I spent $28 and tipped 20%. So I ended up spending just under $35. I had heard great things about the burgers here so my wife and I decided to try it. It was a weekday so we only had an hour for lunch. After walking in nobody would make eye contact with us so we just went and sat down. The waiters would look at us then just walk the opposite way. Keep in mind it was not crowded at all. After sitting for probably 15 minutes with nobody even taking our drink order we left. So while the food may be good, I will never know. Terrible service. read more

Manager was extremely rude and is strung out on meth. She said mine and my three other friends's IDs were fake and they ARE NOT. We have been to this establishment MANY TIMES. I ASKED HER TO CALL THE POLICE AND SHE REFUSED (because she is on drugs) and told me I was "being aggressive". SHE THEN DISAPPEARED and would not speak to us. I am 27 years old and my friends are 26. Been here twice... First time came for karaoke on Mardi Gras and it was so much fun. Second time I've decided to go and check their wings, yeah they are super good and I like that they have a lot of specials going on. My friend & I frequent here & are always happy. Tonight I was told, "the fuck u did?" as an answer for the over rang item on my tab. The consensus by most patrons was this guy was drrrunk & belligerent. Perhaps If I see him there again we will go elsewhere. Friendly and fun!!! The folks at the Town Pump love to take care of their patrons. Hell many of the loyal patrons also take care of other patrons! Okay, I've said...patron more times than necessary! The Town Pump has tasty bar food...great hamburgers! They serve wonderful beers on tap and the place just feels comfortable. Okay, sometimes service is a little slow and on a rare occasion unattentive. But just give the staff a holler, they will apologize for visiting with folks on the other side of the bar and will promptly refill your mug. So, don't take it personally! This is a dive bar that does everything any self respecting dive bar should do- Cheap drinks (real cheap), wraparound bar, chatty bartender, colorful regulars, and delicious, greasy food. If you ever wanted to walk into an episode of Cheers, this isn't a bad start. The Pump also does a lot more than I would normally expect of a dive bar, their beer selection is actually pretty impressive boasting plenty of options, even if not super fancy ones. And their wine list is a complete shock (three *different kinds* of reds and three different kinds of white? In a dive bar?! $5 a glass and not bad at all to boot, to really ice all over that metaphorical cake) The food menu also had me staring at it for way too long, making sure I was reading it right. I particularly enjoyed the nacho platter (first thing on the menu) because when you order it, you get to choose every layer one by one. Do you want classic nachos on chips? On fries? Choice of meat? And maybe best of all, the last step (toppings) is a "What DON'T you want?" Nice! They have a front patio that's screened in, for that indoor/outdoor combo vibe, and an outdoor back patio that's fenced and umbrella'd. That brings me to parking - parking in front is a small, crowded lot in the worst possible part of an intersection. It's not busy, but just do yourself a favor and cruise around back, the parking is wide open and better in every way. Town Pump... is not a dump...... it's actually a nice establishment... so get the jump! (whatever that means)... A few friends and I came here one time after kickball, and this place is a hole in the wall, and I mean that the best way possible. It's the type of place where you can go wearing whatever you want, grab a $1.50 PBR, and chill on the outside patio. On Fridays, they tend to have local bands, and on the night, I visited they had a folky band which brought the Little Rock, Arkansas vibe alive for me (mind you I moved here a week ago from Miami). As an appetizer, I also ordered the $1.95 pork rinds, and they were all right at the best--a little bit salty, lots of crunch, but all solvable by topping it with ketchup. Place is lame. I lived in Little Rock for almost 2 years. Went here about 6 times. Manly cause the bar around the corner the douche chef owned next to red door was packed. By packed I mean no bar seats because his shit sucked also. Red door is cool for brunch. Wtf am I taking about? Anyways. This place I always had to wait like 10-15 min to get a beer. I was there today from noon to 2pm. The waiter wearing a razerback shirt and hat was socializing with the customers and standing in front of me and I could not see the football game. I got up and moved. This caught the bars attention and embarrassed the waiter. After that the waiter stopped serving me drinks. I had to walk across the bar and get the other waiter to bring me my drink. That caught the bars attention again embarrassing the waiter who then came over and intentionally stood in front of me blocking my view of the game again. I got my last drink and tabbed out and did not leave a tip. The waiter there is rude and does not care about the customer. I don't recommend this place. If you do go take a table don't sit at the bar with the rude waiter. read more

They make one of the best burgers in Little Rock. The crowd here is ummmm very homogeneous, so it might be unsettling for some. But the burgers here are the shit. I recommend getting the cheeseburger with grilled onions and pepper jack cheese. A bit on the greasy side, but it's so yummy. I wouldn't recommend this as a first date place since it's kinda a dive bar (not to the extent of Midtown) with its $1 PBRs during happy hour. I like it! Their menu is full of options, prices are affordable, and the place has a laid back vibe. I originally went to Town Pump after being informed that they have the BEST, homemade veggie burger around. However, my understanding is that they recently changed over to a pre-made patty, much to the dismay of their fans. ;) With that in mind, I ordered a BLT with fries; my husband ordered a burger with homemade chips; and my dad ordered the fish and chips with the fried pickles appetizer. All was thoroughly enjoyed, as was the low cost bill. We will happily be back! read more

This is a great dive bar - don't come here expecting anything else. The table service is reliable and no-nonsense. Don't expect craft beers on tap, but do expect cheap beer, especially during happy hour. All of my coworkers are crazy about the burgers here. I came in expecting a thick and juicy pub/grille style burger. It's actually more of a 'fast-food' style burger, which is much more fitting with the divey-ness of the place. By 'fast-food' style, I mean a thinner patty and white bun with American cheese, but done quite nicely. It was a good burger. FYI There's a billiard's table, tables you can push together for large groups (if you get there before it gets busy), and an enclosed patio where people smoke. read more

Me and my friends used to come to TP every Tuesday and first and third Fridays until some guy named Brad started working there. He went out of his way to make everyone in the "regular" crowd uncomfortable. He's a jerk. To be specific, one of my friends was there early (he's black and gay) and Brad singled him out of at least 12 people to ask him why he was there. He did not question anyone else. It was embarrassing. As a result, my friends quit coming, I keep trying to convince them but every time the guy in the red pants (apparently it's Brad) keeps ruining it. My experiences on Friday and Saturday Nights have been a bit botched. Most of the time, the bartenders act like they are on drugs, so service is absolutely horrible. On the upside of this, 9/10 times they forget to charge me for the majority of my drinks. There are usually smelly hipsters running around. There has been live music, but I've never seen any talent. The karaoke is pretty funny to watch. I don't know why I go to this place, but I've been here a bunch and i'm sure I'll be back - I usually get dragged there by some friends who live very close by. Nightly specials and weekly karaoke make Town Pump a pretty typical dive but the two patios are an added bonus for us that like to step away from the crowd for a bit. I love the pump! It is definitely my favorite bar to just come and chill out with friendly people. Drinks are really cheap and very strong! My favorite night at the pump is the first Friday of every month where there is karaoke! unlike other bars with karaoke, the people are really funny about it and everybody just seems to have a good time. If you happen to visit in the early afternoon or evening for lunch or dinner, try their Bloody Mary. It is SO good! read more

I used to be a big fan of town pump until last weekend. Since Little Rock lacks in bar venues it's a solid option. However, they will STEAL and over charge you. I ordered three $1 PBRs and four $4 fireball whiskey shots(me and 3 friends). That would be $19 for my drinks. Even if each drink was $2 more than I think (and they aren't) that would be $33. I was charged $33.50 and the bar tenders, without any clue of what I ordered OR an itemized receipt, would not change it. But it was crowded and close to last call so I just kind of chalked it up to those are the breaks. However, I checked my credit card statement and they added an extra $2 to my tip! They literally STOLE money from me. That's just inexcusable behavior. Go here at your own risk. read more
