In this snowy, cold winter of 2026, The next day, both tires were flat on the passenger side ! When l approached the gentlemen at the desk, they informed me that the car was an older model subject to Vermont weather , that they could sand down the rust around the tires and put some lubricant on it. I took the car in for four new tires and then we added the alignment. When we left the business and and got in the highway, the car started making a whump-whump noise. We pulled over and found that all the lug nuts on one of the front tires were only finger tight. They had not tightened them. When I went back to the shop a couple days later (after having the dealer tighten everything) because the wheel was still making noise, they said everything was tight and the alignment was good. They never apologized and didn't accept any responsibility for the possible damage their shoddy work could have caused (I still don't know if there's anything wrong). They were obviously overbooked and it was well after my appointment time before they took the car back. No communication about the status or eta and crazy wait times even with an appointment. Front leather seat was scratched as well when I got it back :(. I may have been there on an exceptionally busy day but the lack of communication has led me to go elsewhere since. read more

I just went here to get winter tires despite the reviews. I ended up paying almost $1000 for 4 new snow tires. However, with the alignment, which I totally needed, you get continue change overs for (FREE) about $50 (that's what I was told). Five Stars to Town Fair Tire in Williston. Skyler is legendary. My tire was leaking suddenly so I brought it to the nearest place. When I arrived, less than an hour before closing, on a Saturday, I noticed a second tire was low too. Skyler combined kindness and professionalism in his approach to me, expressing no concerns about the time, holding the door for me and telling a perfect story about a childhood memory while he put my info into the computer. He had both tires pulled off, tested for leaks, fixed up and put back on before closing time. What a great team he must have too! Then Skyler brought outstanding service up a notch when I went to pay and discovered the price for all of this was ..... zero. Brand new truck. I was there for 2.5 hours and they put the wrong tires on, and another 2 hours for the right tires. The tires were noisy as heck and caused severe vibration on the highway, so I took them back and ordered a less aggressive set of Michelins. They were installed and still had caused terrible vibration and my truck was bouncing on the road. I took my truck to Pep Boys to have the tires balanced and they were way, way off and the tires were very under inflated. Pep Boys corrected the vibration. My last comment is regarding the poor attitudes and negativity at Town Fair in Seabrook. read more

Mission achieved, my complaint against the management at Williston's Town Fare Tire to both the BBB and the Vermont Attorney General's Office of Consumer Complaints was successful, with both a full refund and word that Town Fair Tire's home office issued disciplinary action against their local Williston management. The AOG complaint will be on record for six-years and the BBB is now aware of this franchise's poor overall history of record. While I commend the parent company of helping to resolve this matter, I still cannot recommend this local branch to anyone in need of new tires. Also, I would recommend taking photos of your car prior to any changes,.especially those that are easily corroborated, like tire changes. Williston Town Fair Tire did not realize I had time-date phone photos of my previous tires, which just so happened to include a picture of the fourth one they failed to replace with the other three. Their own records illustrated that the tires they replaced matched the ones in my photo. A simple examination of the facts could have saved them from a disciplinary action and winding up with so much egg on their face. I hope they do better for any future customers. Constantly trying to sell you new tires. Made an appointment to have my winters put on, left the vehicle all day and when they finally got to it after 6pm, they called at the 11th hour and didn't want to put them on. Meanwhile, they looked at them when I dropped the vehicle off and recognized they were fine. They tried insinuating my winters were worse than the summers I had on which we both knew was BS and suggested I needed new tires when I have at least a couple winter seasons of safe tread remaining. They finally agreed to install after unnecessary banter, criticizing me for deciding to continue using perfectly okay tires another season. Next visit, I set an appointment a few days out for summer change over and after getting there, they wouldn't mount my tires. They appeared new to them and they apparently won't touch new tires if they don't come from their shop. I get they want to sell tires but they offer service as well and claim they will change over "used" tires which apparently is just a ploy to get you in the door to try to sell you new tires. I wouldn't try to use this shop for service or if you do, be prepared for the repetitive sales pitch on new tires or flat out declining service. Again, I understand the business model but they should specify they only wish to service their own customers which I didn't see posted anywhere. Their shenanigans delayed my change over several days and wasted a bunch of my time. There are plenty of other shops to choose between if you want to treat customers like that. read more

My wife' had her CUV aligned here after hitting a curb. Unbelievably, TFTire sent her home with the steering wheel 30 degrees off center. The tires would squeal at low speeds. Smell of burning rubber. They never replied to several voice messages about the issue. Took it to the dealer and found TFTire has failed to align properly and missed a damaged suspension component. You've been warned. Avoid. Go anywhere else. Even your brother-in-law in the back barn with a torch, a jack and a case of beer. read more

Customer service definitely isn't something the manager of the Williston branch has ever heard of. Between the 3 F-bombs he used, to telling me he "didn't give a fuck about my ride" I decided to take me $$ elsewhere. He also told me that without purchasing a wheel alignment I would not get any warranty at all with the new tires, or installation. I'd already had an alignment 2 months prior with the dealer, so I knew I didn't need one - this did not please the manager at all. Be warned, this place may sell cheap tires but you'll regret going here. Whether it's having to wait 3+ hours even though you had an appointment, are forced to pay for a wheel alignment you probably didn't need, or being abused by the manager, you'll regret coming here. My dealer is providing the same tires and installing them for the same price as TFT - definitely look elsewhere ! read more

Highly recommend! Over the course of many years, I have consistently had great service at the Town Fair Tire in Williston. Most recently, it was Adam (Williston loc.) who took care of getting me back on the road after a flat tire. He was as friendly and professional as anyone could hope for. And researched to find a good match for my existing (discontinued) Yoko studded snows. Meanwhile, the techs fixed a slow leak in a different tire (love the free flat tire repair at TFT!) and swapped my spare (donut) to the rear for safety. Next day, the tire had arrived and had been studded in advance of my appt., so it was just a matter of a quick install. The time before that (Nov.), it was Aaron (pretty sure) who saw to my seasonal snow tire changeover. Noticing that my hub rings were shots, Aaron ordered the right kind for me so that I'd have them come Fall. He told me they'd be ready for pick up anytime that I was nearby. All the bad reviews you see are true. They scam people into getting wheel alignments and other services they do not need. Then, if you're lucky, they might do a lazy, incompetent job. Usually, it's not done at all and you are none the wiser. I had a great experience buying my new tires here (williston location)- I am honestly surprised that this place is rated as 2 stars. I went a few weeks ago when it was insanely busy with customers switching from winter tires to summer tires. An employee, Jack, took time to explain different tires to me and showed me some options I hadn't even thought of. He was very patient and thorough (I know very little about tires)-- he asked questions that made me feel like he really wanted to make sure I was getting the right tires for my car and not overspending or purchasing something that didn't really make sense. He was very knowledgeable about reimbursement programs, etc. If he didn't know an answer to my question he looked it up right then. Being a female I really appreciated working with him because I honestly feel like most guys in the auto industry just try to rip me off knowing that I know little about cars. read more

After arguing with the dimwit mechanic at the garage I called Town Fair Tire. They squeezed me right in, got my lug off and didn't charge me a penny! Really above and beyond. I made a reservation online at the Williston VT location (I'm in VT, not sure why Yelp is saying I'm from CT) and had to wait a month for an appointment. I received a text confirming but when I showed up they said there was no record of my appointment for that day and it had been moved without notifying me. They gave me another appointment the following week. I told them I needed to leave by a certain time and they assured me they could do it. They told me to show up a few hours before my appointment and they'd start the work. After 2.5 hours of waiting they still hadn't started. When I asked to confirm they'd be done by the specified time they said they couldn't be sure and told me I should have made an appointment in advance (ha!) I went in to replace a tire and to purchase 4 new tire sensors to cause my tire pressure light to go off. I paid extra to have my tires aligned. When finished, the new tire was fine but the sensor light was still on, my car shook hard down the interstate, and they didn't put the hub caps back on fully. The caps started falling off while I was driving. I had to pay to replace one, which cost me $100 at the dealer. One of the hub caps came back with broken attachment clips as they tried to jam it back on quickly and incorrectly. I went back to have them reset the sensors and they hassled me about it. Don't go there! Find a place where they take their time and do a quality job. read more

-A manager reported that they are purposely overbooking and they cannot get all of the work done on time as a result. (Had I known this at the time of booking the appointment, I wouldn't have booked it. ) -They make you drop your car off at 8am and the work isn't even started until after 5pm, if at all. (Why not have an evening drop off time????) -They don't answer the phone. When you call you get a corporate call center. The corporate call center can't get though to them either. -When you schedule an appointment they don't tell you the truth. It's not an appointment it's a drop off time. They leave out that that is not for your convenience, it's for there's. They don't explain the truth that you may not get that car back until 9pm or later. - They don't seem to care if you're disappointed, They have no problem making excuses and blaming the customer for the bad experience. Probably the worst experience I've ever had at any service center. Will never go back. I certainly understand that this time of year is busy in Vermont when everyone wants snow tires. I do feel that honest and clear communication is vital when agreeing to take someone's business. read more

I've been quite disappointed with Town Fair Tire in Williston and won't be back. Their prices are good, but 2 years ago, they mounted new rear tires for me. At first, they both went flat but after a while one kept going flat. I took the wheel back, they remounted but charged me for balancing. They did a bad job mounting so I don't know why I paid for anything. But the tire kept going flat and after so many times the tire was ruined. I thought they would offer me a deal - half price on new tire, no mounting charge, something. But nothing - they never even said sorry. Terrible customer service for not making right on their bad work. Again, there are other places to buy tires that value customers more. read more

BEWARE. THEY STOLE FROM MY CAR! After I had my tires changed at Town Fair Tire my jump starter ($150 value) went missing from my back seat, as well as a small amount of money from the center console. When I noticed things were missing I explained this to the manager, he checked the footage from that day and talked to the workers that were on duty, and said no one knew anything. Someone must have been lying because I know for a fact those items were in my car before my appointment and missing afterwards. He gave me a refund for my services that day but that doesn't negate the fact that at least one of the workers at town fair tire is not above stealing from customers! Do yourself a favor and avoid them at all costs! There are plenty of other tire shops around. Another example of their blatant disregard for the customers is the less serious but still frustrating issue I had the first time I went to town fair tire. (This should've been my cue not to go back but I gave them a second chance and got stolen from.) I brought my winter tires in my trunk to have them put on and my regular tires taken off. After they were done they for some reason decided to put the regular tires into the back seat on top of all my stuff rather than the completely empty and spacious trunk. The tires got my back seats all dirty and even worse they didn't even clear off the seat before throwing tires on top of my important paperwork which got all messed up and I had to reprint. Why not put them back in the trunk? Why not think about where the customer would want them? Why disregard the importance of the customers belongings on the seats and just throw tires on top of them? Poor communication skills and no understanding of customer service turned a good experience into a poor experience. Classic 'he said' vs 'he said'. Staff denied telling me exactly what they told me a week earlier, and then labeled me a "confused customer who doesn't understand we don't do parts," in the notes section of the refund receipt. At Town Fair when speaking to A. 'do' means 'install'. Hopefully going forward he'll use the word 'install' when he means "install". A simple "I apologize if I gave you the wrong impression." Would have gone a long way towards keeping me as a customer. Saving face in front of his work bros was much more important than providing good customer service. read more

My original review is below, but after taking to their Customer Relations Manager, Rich Allen, they offered to replace all 4 tires and service I got from Josh at the Williston, VT location was some of the best service I've had recently. So my original review was 1 star, but since they stepped up and took care of me, I'm giving them 3 stars. I would've given them 4 stars but they didn't cover the 4 wheel alignment that I paid for with the original 4 tires, which I found odd and a little disappointing. Worst service ever! I called in advance about having the balance checked on my front tires. I was told I could just walk in and have that done and they would squeeze me in between appointments. Instead, they tell me it's going to be a minimum 2 - 3 hour wait and that they couldn't pencil me in at a later time to accommodate me. If they had told me that when I called the day before, I would've brought it in that day when I had the time to sit there and wait. Instead they give me a vague answer and now I can't get my balance fixed before an 11 hr drive tomorrow! I will be sure to buy my tires elsewhere next time. read more

Went to see if they had tires for my son's car and my truck, only to see a sign on the door that said no walk ins. For a new place to turn away business is lousy business. I will never try this place again especially after reading all of the negative reviews. Usually I don't put much in a 5 star or a 1 star but when there are more one star reviews than most others combined, I have to wonder if this place really is worth it. My experience here continues to be disappointing. I called back after my first attempt to get my tires changed over (I bought my tires at a CT location and so felt compelled to go back to save money) and asked to make an appointment. I was again told that I "don't need to have an appointment" but I insisted. When I came in, I overheard someone trying to drop off their car without an appointment. They were informed that they should have made an appointment because they couldn't be sure they could get to his car that day. Please, please, tell your call center to STOP telling people they don't need appointments! Anyway. I dropped my car off and was told it would be ready around 4. It's currently 5:56, the store closes in 4 minutes, and I still haven't heard from them. I called and waited through six minutes of advertising before getting a message that their mailbox was full and I couldn't leave a message. Stop sending apology messages on yelp and hire more people. And maybe -- if you want to show that you are actually taking these complaints seriously -- offer people a few bucks off for their terrible experience with your company. read more

If you're the kinda person who likes being laughed at by staff when asking for a time estimate on your tire change after waiting 6 hours. Lemme tell you: THIS. IS. THE. PLACE. FOR. YOU. We drop off our car at 9AM to change them for snow tires. After being told they'll have the car completed by closing time, we are understandably a little peeved. But hey, we didn't book an appointment so, fine. We expected to pick up our car around 6, their closing time. Ha. Nope, actually, as I type this at 9:33PM, the car has just been completed. Let that sink in for a moment there. 12 hours. If I would have known that I would lose an entire day without my car, I'd have just gone to a local guy, enjoyed coffee in their waiting room, and enjoyed reading the paper clippings that they stuck to their dingy walls. So around 12, I give them a call to check in on the car, has in gone into the shop yet? If not, do you have an idea of when it may go in? Honestly, I would have been fine if the woman on the phone said "I don't know." At least you're communicating to me. Instead she said she'd go check, puts me on hold for 2 minutes before it goes to voicemail. Okay, maybe that was a mistake, I call back. I get another woman, tell her I was disconnected and just wanted to check in on the car. She tells me the car was a drop. I told her I knew, but would like to know where in the line my car is. She literally laughed. Like the kind of laugh a mean high school bully gives in a bad 80s movie. And then she said "Okay" like a despondent teenager would. I go on hold, and then voicemail again. I'm starting to get the picture now: These people literally don't care. Cool. And listen, I'm not some suburban housewife with the "talk to the manager" haircut, who has no idea what it's like to be on the other side of the phone. I've done the customer service gig, and I know what its like to be slammed and not be in any control of what is going on around you. It sucks. But you also know what sucks? Being so angry about some tire place that I log in to yelp and write a bad review that is way too long for my own health. Incredibly long story short: This place is clearly very busy a majority of the time, likely due to their deals and low prices. That is not an indication of the quality of their customer service. There are people in front of us who dropped their car off last night, came back this morning and their car hadn't moved. They are still waiting in front of us for their car to be finished. My first and last visit. Appointment for 12:30 for snow tire switch over. It's 3pm and I'm still sitting here waiting.

I'm not dinging the store or its employees here. Just noting that the Lifetime free winter swap that came with my winter tire purchase back in Dec is not free. Well, I guess it is if I don't want my tires balanced. (I do). It costs 10 bucks per. No where online or in the fine print of my receipts does it mention the charge. Actually, it doesn't mention "balancing" anywhere. Weird or misleading? Inquiring minds want to know. Granted maybe it's considered an implied task when dismounting a tire from a wheel. Moral of the story? Buy the wheels plus sensors for your winter tires to avoid having to break them down each time. Then yes, technically your winter swap is free.
