When I picked up my car Samantha explained the entire process of how they over fill the tire, place it in water, look for air bubbles. She also explained how they saw no defects and were able to fill the tire to the proper pressure all for $13.23. Town Fair Tire is lucky to have such a customer orientated employee! Came here today to get the tire repaired on my 2022 BMW X5M. So first things first they quoted me an hour to fix the puncture: it took two. The tech that serviced the car didn't use a seat cover, floor cover and he left greasy hand prints because he used gloves in the car that weren't clean. Lastly, the wheels, which are barely a month old, now have scrap marks because the tech didn't use the proper tools to keep from scratching the lug nut wells on the wheels. These guy could care less if they damage your wheels, stay away. Some may not care if these shade tree mechanics damage their wheels but I do. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND FIND SOMEPLACE ELSE, or you're going to regret it like I now do. read more

I went to West Springfield. They stripped my washers. That's supposed to turn with the bolts and broke my tabs that make your tires go in and out. they told me they couldn't get it perfect they were closing..It was horrible and They told me i had 30 days.I could come back and get my alignment done again.I went home and noticed all the damage. Town Fair Tire: I was sold and paid for an expensive set of Cooper tires at Town Fair Tire today (February 22, 2023). The manager of 30 years who's name is "Guy" and he operates the Dagget Road store in West Springfield,.MA. Guy aggressively promoted a set of Cooper tires. Guy explained in depth the benefits of the Cooper tire features and traits. Note that the list price for this tire is $229. It was dark out when I picked up the vehicle so I could not inspect the tires. When I arrived at home, I got a flashlight to look at the tires to confirm the brand. He actual installed a set of a lower quality, less expensive brand. The tires installed have a list price of $183. I identified that researching online. Today I called Guy and he still insisted they are Cooper Tires. Accordingly, I called the Cooper Tire headquarter. After I provided detailed information. Cooper Tire said that Cooper does not make that tire. Cooper informed me that the tires were made in Thailand by a different manufacturer. I'm not going to disclose that company's name. I am dismayed how a company that enjoys a quality reputation is capable of allowing this atrocious behavior. I had BF Goodrich tires installed the next day at Costco and returned the tires to Town Fair Tire. After much confrontation, while "Guy" still insisted he thought they were made by Cooper, I obtained a refund. In summary I was sold and paid for one set of tires yet a different set of a lower quality and lower cost tire was installed. You know the words for this act. The wait time is intolerable. There is a television with a camera feed to the garage. Three empty bags, and three ( sometimes four ) mechanics standing around. Walking around. Getting beverages. Smoking. And yet the only excuse given is "were a little busy". After TWO hours waiting I inquire how much longer it will be. I am assured that a technician has my work order "in hand" and that my car will be next to be serviced. After another HALF hour of waiting I notice through the television camera that TWO cars that came in AFTER me were being pulled into the service area, while MY car remained in the main parking lot. Late afternoon I realized that not only did my tires all needed to be filled, but one was bordering on becoming flat fairly soon. I called Town Fair Tire, explained situation and that besides a " quick fix " I really needed to discuss a complete set of quality tires. They would be closing in a little more than an hour but would be sure that I would be safe driving my car. What a relief!!! I came in and spoke with BILL. Explained that I had not had a chance to research what tires my cor needed but I was pretty sure about what I wanted. While he looked up the specifics for my car BILL arranged for the service staff to deal with the immediate tire problem. He explained that although my current tires did not have high mileage the tires were over 6 years old and agewise were not in great shape‍. I can relate to that- so BILL found me tires within my budget and we set up my purchase to include the labor and warranties and off I went with a bandaid fix on my current tires and a brand new set to be installed in 2 days. As far as wait time for the work to be done BILL explained the time involved and I will bring a book- safe tires are important to me! read more

I brought my vehicle in because one of my tires was showing low tire pressure. I went in first thing on a Friday morning. I had to be at the Cape in the afternoon. They were able to fit me in given my circumstance and promptly repair my tire with a new patch-plug. I previously got the same tire fixed at Toyota and they put in an old rope like plug. Town Fair Tire did it the correct way! Staff was knowledgeable, friendly, prompt and accommodating. The price was great too! I was in and out in under an hour. These guys never listen. I drop the car off at 8am for a simple rotation, and it still takes over 2 hours. Even worse, you must stay and wait. If you leave and ask them to lock the doors, they will leave the car in the lot unlocked. Who the f wants their car sitting unlocked in west Springfield. If you ask for the smallest thing like "can you please fill up the air in the tires", they never do it. The last time I was getting my tires worked on, I asked the guy to please write down filling up the tires. He completely ignored me, and they didn't do it. No matter how bad they are, it doesn't seem to affect their business. I suspect it's the convenient location, in the busy shopping plaza. read more

Don't Bother scheduling appointments! I called to set up an appointment for my tire rotation. There were no morning appointments for 4 days. We scheduled one because of other obligations at 10:30. As soon as I arrived, my customer service rep was trying to get me ready for up selling. How many miles were on my tires, had I already had a alignment, my tires look like they had some wear-do I pout a lot of miles on. When he went to computer-my mileage was 5,000 mile since last set was put on with alignment and balance and oldest tires had about 11,000 miles. That was not truly my issue. When I asked how long it would take to ROTATE my tires, HE SAID IT WOULD BE AN HOUR TO AN HOUR AND A HALF. I asked why so long and stated I scheduled an appointment, so that my time would be scheduled and I had an appointment scheduled for my business. He said he could not be more specific and it may take up to 2 hours depending on how busy they were on other jobs. I thanked him for his understanding and assistant and left. Buying tires here has been no bargain. read more

I typically only stop here after doing my tire rotation at the Boston Road location for a quick torque check seeing how I work here in W. Spr. My biggest complaint is the torque check should be as simple as pulling me up to the bays, having one of the mechanics pop out for 45 seconds and check the lug nuts then I am on my way. That's how they sometimes do it over on Boston road and makes my day go that much better. Not a fan of sitting here waiting for something that takes one minute to do. Terrible EXPERIENCE!! DO NOT GO TO TIRE WAREHOUSE!! I got a flat tire and (regrettably) went to Tire Warehouse for new tires, and soon after my car was driving bumpy. My subaru dealership drove the car and felt the tires weren't balanced properly. Tire Warehouse claimed it was my fault, I must have hit a bump in the road, and was charging almost $100 to have the tires re-balanced. Instead I went to Town Fair Tires, it cost only $30 and was told the weights on the tires were not put on correctly by Tire Warehouse. Tire Warehouse employees were rude, whereas Town Fair Tires had great customer service, competent staff, a more attractive location, and better warranty policy. Wish I had purchased the tires from them in the first place! (The reason some reviewers noted a long wait is because this store does good work, Tire Warehouse was always vacant for a reason) read more

The motor sounds horrible after they replaced two front tires. Why would I loose power while accelerating, have the engine sound like a train, and the motor shimmy if this is a new car that had none of these problems before I left it with you. Never going back. Brought a truck to do tire rotation and balance. They said they have a deal for balance, rotation and alignment. So i said do it. I watched the cameras the whole time. They never even tried doing the alignment or balance. They just took the wheels off and rotated them but not the way i asked them btw. I told them how i wanted it 3 times. So 2 hours later he brings me the papers and keys and says its all done. As soon as he found out i saw everything he started saying we couldnt do balance because the wheels are too big and they did the alignment which they didnt. They are a bunch of liars and thats not the first time. Never going back to that place again. read more

The service is the WORST. Bring my truck to them for back 4 tires at a dully truck. gave the instruction need the tires with 80 PSI each( we carry heavy equipment.) , got the truck with 45 psi each tire‍for like 4-5 times. Usually giving the instructions to put 80 PSI ( writing on the paper like for kids ) but they never do, and we have to pull the truck again for air( and waiting extra 30 min cuz the guy who has to do that wants to smoke ) Also had valve extenders on each tire( pretty expensive ones to better check the pressure quck on road ) after visiting them they just DISAPPEARED‍. they said they gave the truck as it was. NEVER do the balancing and alignment right. have to return many times. Also, They are SOOO SLOW. leaved the truck for 1:30 but got it in 4 hours.( when i called they weren't very polite" it is not needed to call this much we will notice you" ) but I was frustrated for couple of hours more than they said) ‍. needed new tires so bought here and they werent good. instead of at least 50K miles with them, we did only 20K and they became a garbage . had to return for another ones which cost extra $600 in couple weeks. Stopped by here when I should have been at work because my tire sensor said a tire was low and I was driving to the airport later. They sent me around for a free tire check, and because one of the sensors was already damaged it broke off while he was checking the tire. They took it in, fixed the sensor, meanwhile found a screw in my tire and patched it up, all in about 20 minutes start to finish, and for NO CHARGE. Amazing! Such nice guys. read more

Wow! I have to say I was really impressed with Town Fair Tire's! I thought I needed new tires. I keep getting a tire light on in my car. Plus it has been a while since I bought new tires. Spoke to one of the guys and he looked at my car. He asked me who told me I needed new tires. He then told me I have about 15000 more miles on the tires. Woohoo! That's awesome. It was like an early Christmas present. I did have a leak and he said they could do it that day. It did take them a while to fix the leak, but it was worth it! They were so honest and that goes a long way in my book. They also had yelp review signs all over the customer waiting area. So you can tell they are conscious of customer service. The only warning I give, is if you are waiting in the waiting area, the smell of tires can be over whelming. Like really over whelming. There are some stores close buy so you may want to go shopping. Also, they have a text system. The mechanic texts your phone when they are completed with their service. That was so cool! When I do need tires or any tire maintenance, I will be back! this place is unbelievable and not in a good way. They manage to mess up the tire pressure every time i get an alignment or a tire rotation done. They don't care about return customer. They refuse to train the staff. They are lazy and rude - they wouldn't read the clear specs so set the tire pressure correctly. Every time I've been there (5+) I had to return to come back and have someone else set the pressure correctly. They are rude on the phone and won't admit they didn't do a good job. They are also NOT interested at all in making the customer happy after the messed up. I bought a couple of sets of tires from them but after so many bad experiences I will pay more elsewhere rather than come back to this place. I went in to Town Fair Tire, West Springfield, originally to purchase and mount 3 sets of tires (2 snow tires, 1 all season set). The first snow tire changover went well with no issues. However, on the next snow tire changover on my 2010 mazda 3, the front right tire was incorrectly balanced along with a constant illuminated tire pressure warning light. When attempting to achieve highway speeds, a significant shudder was very noticeable in the steering wheel. I returned to the shop and explained the issue- they said they would fix it promptly and brought the car back in. This same issue happened with a friend of mine recently at another Town Fair Tire location and I decided to take the third car (Volvo S60) to the dealer to have it's tires installed. I requested a refund for the Volvo's tires, which they regrettably gave me. BUT- when the mazda was completed, the service technician explained to me that he was able to "improve" the tire balance but the rear tire pressure sensor was broken. (HE DID NOT TAKE CREDIBILITY FOR BREAKING THE SENSOR) and continued to explain I should get it fixed. It would've been decent of them to pay for something they broke, but that did not seem to be the case- I will be getting the sensor repaired at the dealer to avoid any further mishaps. read more

From ordering the tires and making an appointment online to dropping off and picking the car up after service, everything exceeded my expectations. The ordering experience online, including price comparisons with other sites, was completed easily. At the West Springfield store, where I dropped my car off and waited shortly, everything was great. I was greeted and business was dealt with promptly, the chairs for waiting are very comfortable, the free wifi was appreciated, and the text that was sent when the car was ready was a nice touch. The store also beat their provided estimated time for the job by 45 minutes (total time for tire mounting and alignment, estimated at 1.5 hours, took only 45 minutes), a great improvement over my previous experiences.
