This establishment was certainly a good choice. While we did wait 20 minutes or so for a table for 2, the waiting area was comfortable, with clear lines of sight to the television. Once we were seated, we ordered a variety of dishes - Thai/asian callimari (great), chicken wings (okay, not enough meat on them imo) and a chicken quesadilla (very good). Afterwards, we ordered a lava cake (great) and. A pint of beer, both of which were happy hour prices (half price for the cake, and $5 for the pint). The staff was friendly, and it was a good vibe. Busy, but not overwhelmingly crowded. We stayed for 2ish hours and weren't pushed away from our table . A strong recommendation from me!

The interiors are tastefully done with lots of wood. I had the chicken fajita and for the table we had the calamari. Both were excellent. The chef was not stingy with chocolate chip in the pancake. Eggs Benedict was cooked "au point". Adequately runny. The loaded hash was too loaded. :D If you are here, be ready to be pampered with love (food, cheese, chocolate, service). From outside, it may seem just another diner, but it's very spacious with good lighting and music.

It does not say that this place is cash only until you actually go and order something. I asked if US dollars was okay (they said yes) but then they said "we don't do conversions". I gave them cash anyway and they gave me back change in Canadian dollars but it was knowingly the incorrect amount. The employee then said sorry and that he'll add on an extra taco. While the food was being prepared (by the same employee), another employee (I think the owner) came out and approached me asking for the cash back because he wanted to exchange it for other bills...weird. Anyway, the tacos were okay, but definitely not worth $19+ and poor transaction.

My celiac spouse ordered a side salad (as an appetizer) which was so fresh and cold and full of tomatoes, cucumbers, and red & yellow peppers. It really was delightful. My spouse had a 1/2 rack of ribs (quite a bargain!) with potato, Cole slaw, baked beans, and a roll. This is a great place with larger portions for the truly hungry! Additionally, this place is NOT a dive; it's diner themed and has 70s/80s memorabilia and most importantly, windows. It's not fancy, but it doesn't aspire to be. It's flavorful food, plenty of it, at a reasonable price point.
