What a cool experience. Got there for the 10:00 am tour, and I was the only guest. The walk to…read morethe cave is only about five minutes, but there's no shade so the earlier the better as the temps heat up. Inside the cave is about 50°. I have no issues with claustrophobia, but if you do there is one tight squeeze that might be a problem. Cash, my tour guide, turned off the lights (after asking my permission) and we experienced total darkness for maybe thirty seconds. It felt like two hours, and I hated it , but still neat and recommend trying if offered. Use the hand rails. They are there for your safety.

We were the only ones that signed up for the earliest tour that day and were lucky to have a private tour. The tour has informative history about the caverns with landmarks along the way. The most interesting thing we didn't know about is they have caving adventure tours where you shimny through holes and narrow spaces with a guide but our kids aren't old enough to partake. This was the first show cave in California and townspeople lived in them during harsh winters in the 1800s. There was a bar inside and a church and nails were even given to people to carve on the walls. Because of this there are signs of harm everywhere with soot, broken formations, and dirty coloration from human hand oils and even champagne poured on a rock formation. The caverns are huge and beautiful with some jaw-dropoing rooms. The walking tour is very safe though we loved the slight danger and claustrophobic feel of the Mercer Caverns. When you leave the shop has some cool historical items pulled from the caves on display like glass bottles, etc .. that are worth checking out.

The views of the lake are gorgeous, and the sound of the water adds such a calming, almost therapeutic vibe. We walked the full loop around the lake and also explored the nature trails that lead into the wooded areas, which made the experience feel even more immersive. There are plenty of scenic spots along the way to stop, take it in, and just enjoy being outside. It was nice seeing so many other people out walking and enjoying the space as well. The environment felt very clean, safe, and welcoming. It's also dog-friendly, which is a huge plus if you like bringing your pups along for the day. There are a couple of bathrooms conveniently located along the path, and parking is flexible - you can either find street parking or pay to park inside the park. If you're looking for something more active, they also offer kayak rentals. From what I saw, it's around $25 for a single kayak for an hour, and tandem options are available as well. You can check availability and book online. Overall, this is such a great spot to unwind, get some fresh air, and reconnect with nature. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.

Inside this riparian forest I found all sorts of visual designs and patterns, especially with shades, shadows, and light playing in their space. The only distractions I had were the curious squirrels showing off their acorns. I wanted to touch a tree, but I didn't because the hammock-shaped spiderwebs creeped me out a bit. This area was their home. At first, I intended to chill at the section called Lodi Lake Beach. It was closed off with orange nets. I'm guessing it was for the protection of baby turtles. Hello world, little ones This recreational area has various activities for stand-up paddle boarding (SUP), boating, kayaking, fishing, day camping, sunbathing, picnicking, BBQ, biking, walking, wildlife photography, and people-watching, maybe even more. Other sights to see are their garden beds, lots of cool birds, and friendly squirrels. Here's a great escape from a routine work week!

I tried to get tickets Friday evening at around 8:45 and they weren't available (see screenshots for evidence). We may still go I and hopefully the lines and our experience will be better than my negative experience so far. UPDATE: I still give one star for my above review of online registration. However, we went and there was no line to get tickets, and we had a great time. Great value as you get to try lots of wine for a relatively low price (compared to a day of wine tasting in Napa/Sonoma. Good people watching, spectacular location, safe and very well laid out. My only complaint was the long lines for food.

A little confusing based on the fact they make you buy your tickets ahead of time...this was all due to the fact that they have people that need to put wrist bands on you? So this is what took away the star for me. The logistics need some serious help! Now you couldn't pick a better spot in Lodi than Lodi lake park for this festival. They have everything spread out really well on both sides of the lake so things aren't so super crowded. I thought they had tons of selection of all the great wineries from the Lodi area and even though based on the some the other reviews I would much rather hang with these locals and who this attracts....besides based on how many grapes Lodi is trucking to Napa might as well stay here anyway. Lol! We had a great chance to sample all of our favorites plus some new choices. They also give you the opportunity to have wine by the glass as well. One super nice perk was the free bottles water and bread. I personally thought they could have had more food options knowing how many awesome food trucks are in the area but did enjoy sampling some of what they had. Also for the size of the venue could have had a few more vendors to look at while wine tasting. Either way had a great time and would for sure come back again.

And as a professional courtesy Layne made sure that we all had wine in our glasses as we walked through the breezeway to the aging room. The learning tour was super interesting as we got to see the locally curated oak barrels, the authentic European barrels made of French oak, as well as the stainless steel tourine used to age M2s delightfully crisp Vermintino. After the tour we re convened in the main tasting room and sat at one of M2s super duper comfy soft seating sofas. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of 2020 Patina, a delicious jammy red table wine recommended by Layne the M2. Noteworthy m2 Wines that I sampled and loved: 1. The 2021 Mokalumne River Rose 2. The 2022 m2 Estate Vinyard Vermintino

Clean establishment and friendly service. They have a "Dome" you can sit and sip BUT, that Dome is limited to 6 humans. Reasonably priced.... if that is type of venue you enjoy, meaning "press and pour" then, this is the place for you. Post script and/or footnote! The rest of us made ourselves comfortable in the tasting room. Except for me, our group enjoyed the wine station tasting which was a state-of-the-art, intelligent, wine dispensing and preservation system. It's the first of a kind I've ever seen which was very cool. Some people might have different opinions about this set up, I get that but this gave the guests the freedom to explore wine according to their palate preferences and doesn't waste a drop. Each were given a card that would track each person's tab. For me, I enjoyed the ZANTE Cocktailz ($12) - the spritz-mas included white grapefruit juice, honey syrup, lemon juice, ZANTE White, ice, candied lemon garnish. The owners/staff were very friendly and helpful. Review #3975
