We have been to Tower Burger at least 5 times while in Alamo this winter. Very good until today. We have heard it is hit and miss, we experienced the miss today. We went in about 3:30. We ordered 3 burgers. The meat was all overcooked, dry and burned. The buns were dry and over toasted, crunchy. We did enjoy the donut hole sundae, very good. Great burgers! I had the Smash burger. Tasty, tender, cooked just right. And the bun! Soft & toasty. Unfortunately, I made a mistake and ordered fries instead of onion straws. They don't fry the potatoes long enough. Way too limp. Not crunchy. Their soda machine was not running so they offered canned soda, as many as you wanted. read more

Great food as always but what was really disappointing was the cleanliness of the place. I took some friends from Harlingen to have lunch here and as we walked in to get a table after ordering we noticed the floor was very sticky as we walked. Once we sat down, the bench at the table had little pieces of fries. The table itself was also very sticky. My friend got some cleaning wipes from her car and we wiped the bench and table. The wipes were black with dirt and grime after we were done. It was about 11:30am when we went and there was 2 other customers sitting down so it wasnt really packed or busy at the moment. Im thinking the place is just not staffed properly and/or not reminded to properly clean the eating area. Managment needs to step it up. read more

This burger place is a good alternative to the chain restaurant that plague the Rio Grande Valley. It's not near any major shopping centers, so it will be off the beaten path but it's worth the deviation and easy to find. About a mile south of the expressway. The burgers themselves are satisfying and scrumptious. There are better choices for fries out there, but they are natural and so compliment the burger. You may want to have only one person order fries and share them with someone. The servings are large. The sweet tea is not too strong and is enjoyable. Come here, you won't be disappointed. It is also conveniently located next to a coffee shop if you have a sweet tooth afterwards. 4th time coming to #TowerBurger. There was a biker gang in here with over 20 members occupying tables (Bikers Against Child Abuse). A family noted people standing around and they left to make room for others. Tower Burger apologized for the delay and brought us a complimentary basket of cheese fries for the delayed cook time. That's customer service. My review has been updated from 4 stars to 5. Observations, have two cashiers instead of only one, the menu it's too big and a little confusing, remove the lamps in-front of the menu!! Nicely toasted buns, juicy burger patties, melty cheese, delicious fresh toppings and those amazing onion strings! Try all the variations so that you can choose your own favorite! Great burger!!! Huge!!! We've eaten here twice and I've never finished more than half a burger at one sitting. I think they're 1/2 pound patties. Anyway, come hungry or take half home. I always go to this burger place and not going to lie it's delicious (bit pricey but it's good). But one thing that bothered me on my trip last night when I went, was that the cashiers was offering us the deals of the 0.25cent wings which I kindly declined and went ahead and ordered my bf and I's burger with our loaded fries(which had 3 small pieces of bacon btw and weren't loaded how they normally were with bacon bits) and at the end of the order she then offers us a cake which looked delicious but the cashier didn't let me know the price of the cake until I saw my receipt which was literally $6.75 ($7.30 with taxes). Let me tell you about the "delicious" Oreo cake. It was literally the most repulsive thing I've EVER tasted, and I regret ever buying it honestly, it was too hard, and felt like an old slice of cake that had been left out for days (which probably is the case).. From the pieces that I ate, I've had horrible stomach pains and don't even want to move from how painful. So word of advice, don't buy those almost $8 slices of cake and pastries that look nice and delicious that are near the counter because you will end up probably throwing up and sh**ting yourselves. But since my nephew was back in town and he likes burgers I thought we try out tower again especially hearing about their wings and some other minor changes. Well honestly to say I was really satisfied with the food today. Seem portion and menu has really changed since my last visit 2 yrs ago. Beef was Medium red as I requested, not last time which I never remembered being offer that. Got the Tower burger with added sauteed onions and mushrooms...very good. Their wings were pretty good...verry simple flour blend so you still get that light crisp bite. The best part is their fries...I just like how it's semi soggy and soft. read more

This is the best burger I've had in the area, and perhaps even anywhere. The customer service is phenomenal. The staff is all smiles and greets you from the moment you open their door. Your order is placed at the counter and they bring it to your seat. We split the 1/3lb Buffalo Bleu (in hindsight my husband would have preferred his own). It was large and very well dressed, and served with a mound of hot fries. Everything was hot, fresh and packed with flavor. The restaurant interior is well designed- cozy with spacious booth seating and good music that doesn't overpower the conversation. Keep up with the awesomeness Tower Burger! I am so mad and disappointed with tower burger. Last week my daughter went by on Wednesday for the .25! Cent wings and they ran out ok no we went today on Wednesday earlier and they ran in the wings. What the hell are they trying to do if you have a special you should stock up on the wings knowing that you ran out of them last week you should do something about it, so I am very disappointed with Tower Burger so just to let you all know do you need to get there at 11 when they open to get the $.25 wings. My only complaint about this place is that you cannot arrive to the restaurant anywhere near closing time. They close at 10 PM but from personal experience...don't go past 9 o'clock because chances are they will begin running out of menu items. I understand that every once in a while, especially on busy nights, items can sell out...but menu staples...such as sweet tea, wings, bacon...come on.
