I had an accident last night. My insurance called this company. Like Craig Y's review above, they missed the 1 hour deadline, no calls from them at all. Had to call the insurance to find out what's going on. I have a medical condition and I needed to be home in order to take my meds for the evening. I called the insurance again and they said they would come in 30 minutes. I wasn't in a precisely safe spot to remain parked, temperatures started dropping and my bladder was full. I told the insurance, thanks but no thanks. I had enough of waiting for some provider who wouldn't even bother to call me to let me know whether he was actually going to show up or not. So I figured to try my luck to attempt to drive my wrecked car first to a place I could eat and use the washroom and then make my way home. Luckily I was able to make it home in one piece. I filed a complaint to these guys with my insurance. However, the next day my insurance assigned them to get my car to the shop. This time Dawson (the driver), was not only on time, but he was friendly and even dropped me at the car rental place to pick up my rental while my car was in the shop. It was something he didn't have to do, but he did it just to insure I had a ride. My insurance took care of the tow cost, so no out of pocket for me this time. We experienced GREAT service recently with Tow Pro. I was pulling a rented moving trailer and one of the wheel bearings failed. They arrived in a reasonable amount of time. My car broke down on the interstate, and I used my insurance to dispatch a tow truck. They sent tow pro on their way and quoted me an hour wait. It took 2 hours for the driver to finally get to me. They told me that my insurance had given them the wrong location, which was odd because my insurance used my exact gps location from my phone, which I reviewed with the insurance agent. (Now reading these reviews, it's very possible that the tow company lied to avoid being blamed, but I can't prove that.) I found out the next day that the tow driver had hyperextended my hand brake. I'm not sure if it was still engaged when it was taken off the truck or if the driver was just extremely rough with it, but it was stuck in an abnormal position. I've yet to release it days later, and the tow company has yet to respond to my insurance's complaints for the issue. I've been unable to take my car to a mechanic due to the issue, and will likely have to be towed again (by a different company for sure). read more

My van broke down on the side of the interstate and I called this tow company to tow it to a shop. The call was handled quickly. I arranged the tow for a reasonable price. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half, so I went to grab lunch (a friend had shown up to help). About 40 minutes later, the driver called to tell me he had the van at the shop. I head over and my van is not there. I called the tow driver and he insisted the van was there. He reads the address back to me and it is the correct address but no van is at that address. Speaking to the mechanic shop owner, we ascertained the car was taken to a different shop on a different street, according to WAZE 1.3 miles away. After I found my vehicle and made other arrangements, the tow driver called and said he was back at the shop he delivered to and that there had been a "mix up" and did he want me to tow the car to the correct shop. Again, by that time, I'd already made different arrangements. Paid $150 to have my van towed to the wrong shop. read more

This was my 1st time using a tow service & initially Demontre (worker) seemed pleasant until he had to work In a fashion that needed integrity & accountability! What happened:I called to inquire the pricing on a tow service to se what it maybe in the event I had to pay oop, if insurance didn't cover. I asked price, he asked location pick up/drop off. Will you be present for the tow as it was at a shop.Me: No Ill be @drop location. Will shop have keys?yes. what would the price be if my insurance does t cover? He said let me call you back with a link. I said ok I'll call my insurance & see what they say! Called me back with a link but the link was to pay. I was on the line with insurance and they stated they cover it, I clicked over and told Demontre about insurance and I wouldn't need to order it but thank you for your info! & he said okay disregard the link! 30mins later this company calls back for a payment and the tow pulls up with my vehicle that they were NEVER AUTHORIZED TO RECEIVE! Requesting a payment as my insurance tow truck was then waiting to pick up my COVERED TOW! The Demontre guy is talking to a lady by the name of Candy and they are both extremely rude &unprofessional stating "well the shop still gave us the keys so you clearly still needed a tow"! WHAT!? The guy says by the time I called you back they were there! however I NEVER ORDERED IT I only asked pricing so why would you send it! I told you within a 5 min time frame of you calling me back with a price to tell you I was covered so I will not order and now they are threatening to call cops on me after I asked her Candy after she stated I'll take it back! I said please do bc my tow is waiting with permission to receive and then she commences to say no I'm not taking it back anymore I'm bringing it to my lot where you will have to pay for it and storage! I AM out rages at how this company would hire such poor staff. The lady even asked me to lie to my Insurance company to have them pay them Instead and even tried to act like me! I am waiting for a call for management and I'm sure that's a lie bc no one has contacted me to resolve but I walked outside and they came back to tow my vehicle to the lot even after they were the problem! I have not received a phone call from management and they wouldn't allow a escalation! I want this resolved immediately! I called for a tow 3 weeks ago after my car broke down on the interstate. I was quoted 1 hour, and it ended up taking them over 3 hours to arrive. The driver towed my vehicle to the local Firestone around 10:00pm, after it was closed. Instead of depositing the keys in the dropbox of Firestone, the driver informed me that he left the keys in car instead. Someone broke into my car during this time and, among other things, stole my car keys and my house key. I have called Tow Pro 4 times since this has occurred asking to speak to a manager regarding the situation. I was told to call back the first time. The next 2 times I was informed that a manager would call me back. Never received a response. The final time (yesterday) an employee told me that they spoke with their manager, an individual by the name of Ashley. They relayed that Ashley stated a manager would contact us by 4:00pm. Never received a response this time either. Today, my wife called on 3 separate occasions (at this point we were pretty fed up with this company's lack of follow-through). Each time, she was either told that a manager would call her back within a few hours, or she was put on hold and told that she would get to speak to a manager, and was never helped. This is by far the most unprofessional company that I have interacted with in several years, not only in terms of their standard operating procedures, but also in terms of their customer service. The complete ineptitude and lack of follow through on their promises is something you would expect to see in comedy movie, not in a real life company. read more

I waited over 3 hours for TowPro to show up, and they never did. HORRENDOUS customer service. I'm sure the drivers themselves are fine, but my issue lies 100% with the woman at dispatch who got off at 8pm on 3/11/20. She orignally quoted me 90mins before a truck could arrive, and since it was rush hour, I figured what was an understandable ammt of time to wait. 2 hours later I call and ask for an update and she now says the driver is 30 mins away. Understandably I'm upset and while I was speaking with her asking if it was possible to cut that time down at all, she HANGS UP THE PHONE. I call back 30 mins later to ask for an update, there has been a shift change, she's no longer working, and the new associate says at least 45 additional mins, and that she has no idea what her co-worker was talking about when she said the closest truck was 30 mins away. I waited over 3 hours for Towpro to show up, and they never did. In the meantime, I called another company and they showed up within 20mins. Never again will I use Towpro, and I highly suggest you find another company to give your business to if you're ever stranded and waiting for a tow. Their drivers I'm sure are fine, but dispatch is a complete joke. If i was as bad at my job as they are at theirs I'd be fired! read more

Where do I start? I hit a pothole on i40 and lost pressure. My roadside assistance started calling for a tow truck at 5pm and an hour later finally got them to answer that they would be there in an hour. OK, Sunday night... I get it. That actually would have been fine. However, they send you a text with a countdown clock with their ETA.. now 7pm, right. BMW said they would call 20 mins out. So I called them at 6:45 to see if they had any issues. They answered, took some info and put me on hold. 20 mins later... Still holding. The eta clock is saying "arriving soon". Finally gave up on hold, called them back and when they picked up they told me the driver had waived the call off a half hour before. So.. not "coming soon". No follow-up call to anyone to tell me they had given up or to try to reschedule with another driver or another company. So when can you get here I ask, "half hour" is the answer. So now the ETA is 745. Sure.enough at 7:45 the clock counts down to zero (i.e.: "arriving soon') and no call no show. So I call again. This time she tells me my driver is dropping off a police car and that it will be another half hour. So here I am sitting... A half hour later and still no driver. I have been here for 3 hours and been told 3 different eta's, each of them wrong. I just called bmw roadside again and their dispatcher told them 20 minutes. Clearly not telling the truth. I am still sitting here waiting. Not sure when or how this saga will end. read more

Very horrible service was told 60 mins waited from 11:00 pm to 4 am. I ended up calling 8 times trying to figure out when the truck would be there they kept giving me 30 mins 45 mins then 10 mins.When the tow truck driver pulled up he already was mad yelling at a passing by car, then proceeded to come to me and ask me "so what's even wrong with your car." When I told him he said "let's hurry this sh** up I've been working for 36 hours dealing with drunk drivers, police and wrecks I've had no sleep." Then stated that he didn't have to do his job even tho I told him we already paid. After that he got even more upset and told me "you find you a new tow truck" and pulled off at 4 am leaving me to leave my car in the parking lot. This company is good for semi and box truck towing on weekend when no other tow companies are available. They are very busy so expect to wait sit 14 hours after calling to get towed. If you can wait it's perfect. Friendly people when all goes well and if you're patient. They will get you rolling when no one else will on weekend. Tow driver ended up refusing to pick up my car. This refusal occurred seven hours in when I was initially given a 1 hour ETA. At three hours, I called the service center and received a 20 minute ETA. At six hours in, I called the service center again and received a 40 minute ETA. At seven hours in, the tow driver cancelled service alleging he could not find the vehicle. The next morning, another driver, given the exact same description (the intersection of two major highways), was able to find the vehicle within fifteen minutes of me calling. The only reason this is two stars instead of one is because the second driver was from the same company. Unfortunately, my insurance would only cover towing from this particular business. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. This place is ridiculous. We were waiting for a tow since 10 am. They said it would be an hour. So we stuck around. Then they told us it would be 2 hours so we left. Not even 10 minutes later they called saying the truck driver drove by the car to pull it out but it was "too far" down the ditch. (Less than 5 feet off the road). So we called them and explained the situation. They continued to say they would send out another driver, so we stuck around and waited again for the driver. Who never showed. We called insurance and they sent out a different company. They were there within an hour and got the car out within 2 hours. Stupid thing is tow pro was 4 miles away from where the car was stuck. A different company from over 50 miles away we're the ones who actually pulled the car out! read more

I requested roadside assistance through my auto insurance provider. Tow Pro was the company selected by my insurer. After waiting 30 minutes past the initial 1.5 hour time frame I contacted Tow Pro to politely inquire about the delay. The dispatcher apologized for the delay and said someone would be there in the next 30-45 minutes. After waiting an hour (15-30 minutes past their second missed deadline), I called them back, again. Again, I was polite. The dispatcher seemed like she couldn't find her way out of a paper bag. After a long time on hold I was told a driver was on his way and would be there in 20 minutes. Another hour later and still no tow truck. I cancelled my request through my insurance after a total of 4 hours of waiting. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Car broke down, Was quoted $148 for towing. After 1hr of waiting i was told i needed to make an additional payment of $43 because my vehicle was in a garage? Ok cool. No driver ever showed up after 4 hours and multiple phone calls -- without answer. Finally speak with someone and they tell me to send an email that goes unread for days. Only for them to finally email back with a refund of 50%. Absolutely predatory, charged when no services were rendered? Definitely reaching out to the BBB about TowPro. Great service. Pat was so professional and friendly. My RV broke down and Good Sam called Tow Pro. Pat knew exactly how to disconnect the back axle and connect air pressure to the brakes so it could be safely towed. He had to crawl underneath my RV in the pouring rain to get everything connected. Greg from tow pro is absolutely disrespectful, does not allow anyone to speak, he cut off my witnesses so he didn't have on a recorded call that his driver damaged my car which now has a costly repair required. His driver showed for service wearing one boot, and took his grey boot sock off to show me his nasty infected toe, and put his foot in the doorway of my truck. On arrival his driver admitted that tried to take off the lug bolts and caused damage to two of them. He also admitted this further to 3 of the techs at the receiving shop, and is on camera doing so, also still only wearing one boot. Greg refuses to take responsibility and thinks him cutting people to only hear part of a conversation will do him good. The driver notified the shop that his company Tow Pro would take responsibility for the damage, and repair. Greg refuses to stand by this. I urge the owner David to contact me immediately. Your young lady at dispatch says you do not have a desk number to be contacted at. If Greg and driver are the standard for your business, you will have a lot of failures on your hands very soon. read more

These guys never meet the one hour window of my roadside assistance company. I'm not sure of they are understaffed or just don't care. They are not reliable and timely. Not sure how they stay in business. The city must give them a lot or work or maybe roadside assist is low on their list of priority. This is the 2nd time Tow Pro (pro isn't appropriate actually) has been called by my insurance. They are never on time, are constantly delayed, and even worse, are extremely rude when you speak with them. We arranged a pick up for a following morning and they took the car but didn't take the key. When I called, they said the driver tried calling several times - they absolutely did not call me. The driver also never went inside (my daughters work) to ask about the key or let them know he was there. They refused to go back to get the key, so the car is at the tire place but still disabled because they can't move it without the key. So my daughter now has to leave work and take the key to the tire place, which will take her entire break, and her gas. I would NEVER recommend Tow Pro and will NEVER use them again (my insurance has noted they are never to be called for me again also). read more

The WORST towing company on the planet. Requested a tow at 3:50 PM, was told 60 mins. Called the company 75 mins later (5:05), and they said "The ETA was 120 mins from the original request" - I have text message evidence to disprove this. Then, the driver showed up, parked halfway into a lane with traffic when there was plenty of room for him to park normally, and unfortunately was hit by a different car. He left to go chase that car down. No word from the company after that. I called and they said they sent another driver and he's 20 mins away. Around 8:00 PM, I called back and they said they're looking for a driver to send out. The driver never showed up. I canceled the request at that point. I understand large volume of requests but if I'm a paying customer I shouldn't wait 5 hours when I was promised to receive service in 1. I will never have my insurance reach out to Tow Pro, and would never recommend them to anyone else. read more

My insurance company used Tow Pro to attempt to come help me when I was stuck on the side of the road on i24. They told me they would be there in 54 minutes. My insurance contacted them at roughly 4:00pm. 4:54 pm came and went. We did not hear from them again until about 5:30 pm when they told us that they were going to be another 50 minutes. Shortly after that (Maybe around 6:00pm) they said they were on there way. (The name of the person who was supposedly coming was Pierre) 6:40 pm came, they still were not there and told us it would be "6 minutes". 7:10PM came and I contacted State Emergency Road Side Services. Emergency Road Side services got there in 18 minutes and fixed the problem we had and we were on our way. I never saw Tow-Pro. read more

One of their lots TOTALED my car. My 2013 Volkswagen Beetle was being towed through Geico for a FLAT TIRE and given the instructions to be taken to a tire shop. My car was never taken to the tire shop and was kept at the lot all weekend because "they didn't have enough drivers" to take it to the shop. Four days later, it still hadn't been taken to the tire shop so I called AB Collier Wrecker and they said the car had been damaged in the lot. So I went down to the lot and found the car to be completely destroyed - TOTALED. This car had a flat tire and now it is totaled, according to the adjuster from Geico that came out and looked at it. AB Collier were extremely rude, claimed they "didn't see what happened", offered NO apology (to be honest, their attitude about the whole thing was more like "too bad for you, not our problem"), and refused to give their insurance information so I could make a claim. I had to go through MY car insurance Geico to deal with this negligence that AB Collier caused even though it happened in their tow yard under their watch. This was a PERFECTLY good VW Beetle in GREAT condition with 74000 miles on it, and just paid off. Lastly, they kept saying that I didn't sign a form to release the car to Geico multiple times when I signed a form the day I got to the lot. Whatever you do, do NOT use them. read more

My wife had a minor fender bender, but the radiator was cracked and all the coolant leaked out, so we didn't think it was a good idea to drive it. The other drivers insurance company, GEICO, said they would tow it and store it until we arranged to have it repaired. they contacted Tow Pro who contacted A.B.Collier to tow the car. While in the possession of A.B. Collier, on Friday night March 18, 2022, the car was driven around their lot for 28 minutes. This included 30 hard turns, 8 hard stops, and the engine overheating. There was also a significant amount of additional body damage. My wife has an APP on her phone which documents all of this. They also left all the windows down and the sunroof open, in the rain! The interior was muddy in the front and the rear. They also walked off with the keys. The first we knew of this is when the car was finally towed to the car repair facility and they called her saying all the windows were open and it was raining and they didn't have a key. If this company cannot even secure the keys to your vehicle, why would you want to do business with them. If Tow Pro does business with a company like this, why would you trust them? read more

This morning I ran over a pot hole on my way to work at 5:15am. I was in contact with Tow Pro through my insurance company and they said they would be there by 6:45. I am a nurse and my unit was expecting me. Patients were waiting on me. At around 8 I called them and they said they had to unfortunately pick up some accidents for Nashville police and would be there within the hour. At 9am Adam contacted me and told me he would be there in 32 minutes. At 10:45 I spoke with Allison and she told me that unfortunately Adam had to pick up an accident for metro and he would be there within the hour. At 12:30 I was still waiting on the side of the interstate and that's when I had another company pick me up. Throughout the process they did not call me to inform me of the reasons why they would no longer be there within the hour or recommend that I contact someone else. When I was picked up by another company I was informed that this is not out of the ordinary for this company. What's "unfortunate" is that this company is not transparent and does not seem to care about their customers safety or time. read more

I waited around 2.5-3 hours for my tow truck driver. About two and a half hours in, I called only to be told that metro takes priority over my insurance agency request. My accident happened around 9:30 am, with the original tow ETA being 11:30 (which is a while as it is). I ended up being picked up at 1:30. The driver was holding his phone and appeared to be texting w couple of times. I would not recommend this company to anyone! Oh and apparently the driver was supposed to be contacting me every time the time bumped, but the only contact I got was when I called myself!!
