The police informed me that the tow truck would drop me off nearby or bring me to the shop. Since I was just south of exit 6 on route three I asked to be dropped off right off exit 6. The tow truck told me it would be $250 to be dropped off anywhere but the tow truck yard. I told him I just needed to be dropped off right off the exit and he pointed south on route three and said rudely, "I'm going THAT way". When I found out the shop was in , I was extremely confused. He obviously had to turn around and go north on route three past the exit I was asking to be dropped off on. I called the next morning, and asked what their policy was for being dropped off nearby. The man on the phone informed me that it was free to be dropped off right off an exit. I then told him what I was told the previous night and he told me that "I was hysterical and ran straight to the police officer." I then asked him how he knew who I was and informed him that was not what happened. Unfortunately, I had the unpleasant experience of having to go there to sign a written release so my insurance could pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, I said a friendly hello to the man at the counter to which he put up a finger and said "one moment" without looking up from his computer screen. I had to sign a waiver, releasing them of all liability if I fell on the ice rink that is their property. After, I was told I could get my personal belongings out of my vehicle, but I could not find it in the tow yard. I would avoid this company at all in the future. I do not know how much my insurance will have to pay or how much I am going to have to pitch in, but I am very unhappy with the customer service, lies, and general sketchiness of this company.

When I called to have my car towed to an auto repair shop from the tow yard they originally said it would be $504.50 to have it towed (cash only), I called back again and they then stated it would be $554.50. Upon receiving my itemized receipt after completing the tow job I was charged an extra $50 that only showed up as credit. Would not recommend and would suggest telling MPD to cancel their towing and get your own if you're ever in the same situation.

We took our car to Portland Street Service center upon the recommendation of a neighbor. We had an…read moreissue with with the battery light coming on and off. Figured it was the alternator. They replaced the alternator and we went to go pick it up, but then the car wouldn't start when we were ready to leave. Jeff right away came and checked things out and realized that there may have been an issue with the alternator that they installed. They kept it for a few hours and realized that the part was bad. Not their fault. They were amazing about checking everything else that could have been the issue and realized that it was a faulty part and had things done and the battery charged and replaced the faulty alternator with a new one and had the car ready in just a few hours. They were very caring and nice and apologetic for the issue even though it was not their fault and didn't charge us for the additional work and part they installed. How often do you have a mechanic apologize to you? Can't recommend them enough.
