There is basically 4 different areas in this park - a small dog area, 2 large dog areas and a short wooded path that you can walk on with your dog. Sometimes I've been here where they close half the larger dog area, I'm not sure why this is. In the parking lot, there is a port-a-john for us humans, and trash can/doggie bags for the pups. Everyone seems to be really responsible here with their dog which is a major benefit. Some cons: - can be muddy after rain - no trash cans or bags provided inside the park area, only before you enter the park - sometimes they close half the park (I don't know why this is?) - limited seating/benches for humans

This is easily the worst dog park in Passaic County, entirely due to the ground surface. Who came up with this idea? It's a nice park. It's conveniently located. It has tremendous potential! There are nice facilities, umbrellas for sun shelter, a doggie water fountain, etc. But the dogs just cannot run around comfortably on gravel. This is just parks planning gone wrong, likely conceived by someone who doesn't have dogs.

The brightly colored slides, tunnels, swings can be seen from Black Oak Ridge Rd. so it's hard to avoid when cruising the nighborhood -- I speak from experience! :-P There's a couple different structures -- one for smaller kids (1-3yo, I think) and one for older/bigger kids. My son has a blast climbing up the tunnels and down the slides every time we visit this playground. Note: the parking lot is a good size... but fills up quickly as it shares the lot w/ the dog park... and there's really no street parking along the park as it's a pretty active intersection.

Today the park is a large athletic complex featuring 2 inline hockey rinks, a 2.5K cross country course. 2 sand vollyball courts, 1 artificial turf softball field, an 18 Hole Disc Golf Course, 4 artificial soccer fields. walking paths through meadows & wooded areas, a kickball field, a playground area designed for 5-12 year olds. The playground area has a lot of different apparatus, rubber ground cover and benches. Fully equiped reatrooms can be found in lot 4. Lastly, the park has a dog park. The dog park has a section for small dogs, 2 sections for large dogs, and short wooded area with a path. The dog park is completely fenced in, well maintained, clean and spacious. There are obstacle courses, as well. The drawback is the grass and dirt areas after wet weather. Additionally, there are no trash containers in the fenced in areas. Bring water for your dog

Add a parent I really appreciated that it wasn't too crowded on a Sunday morning and all of the children there were patient and well behaved. Since it's a bit further away we won't be there daily but will certainly make the 20 minute trip again!

Both sides have water available for the dogs and a number of different obstacles for them to run around on off-leash and areas to drink, but also some random puddles. Owners have to keep an eye on their dogs, so even if they are social sometimes they can fight. Almost all the dogs I've met here have been pretty nice though. Lot of bugs at the edges, though, especially in the muddy areas, and I killed a tick I saw, too, so you have to be careful. Parking can get quite busy at peak times.

It's right by the residential area so it may get somewhat crowded during summer as expected with parks of course. It has a playground (obviously), a basketball area, an ample fenced yard for the doggies and a ground for a few sport im guessing for baseball and soccer? Im not entirely sure. But anyway i like it here, a good place for some peace and quiet sometimes when you have the place solo. Lots of trees for shade too. And the best part is the swinging bench!

There are two separate, gated play areas - one for small dogs and one for large dogs. Easy to use gate latches for getting in and out with your dog smoothly and safely. Watering stations with cute bowls are available. It's a lot of run room for dogs. The whole dog park with the car lot is 2 acres. Some benches there also outside of the play areas if you'd like to sit. You'll need a permit to go here ($10 for WO residents/$20 for non-WO residents), but it's a lot of space for dogs and ample, free parking. Heads up - one thing to consider before visiting is the current lack of trees, so there are not many shaded areas on sunny days (so I knocked a star off for that). I imagine this park will be popping in fall. Just maybe too hot right now.

Guys we hiked blue to purple to blue to orange (which comes back to blue and the parking lot) and it took 2 hours and 3 miles. We met people who thought the whole thing took 45 minutes and had the water to go with that. This is an intermediate hike and you really need the water, as well as trail map or at least pic of trail map, to make it happily. We met so many lost people on the trail. It's not marked as well as you think. Also we took the pup who thought lake at first sight, meant jump. Pro tip; keep them out of the lake. It's full of stagnant water and stinking mud. Your nose will thank me. Instead enjoy the bubbly creek crossing before and after the hike.

I…read morerecalled doing this hike a number of years ago and enjoyed it, so decided to give it another try. The parking lot was not the biggest, but there seemed to be many spots on the street. Fortunately we were able to find a spot in the lot though. It is dog friendly, so we brought our little guy too. Since the my younger son is only 7 we decided to do the hike (blue trail) to Tripod rock and back, which is about 3 miles. It does have some incline, but didn't receive any complaints about this from the fam. Also there are a bunch of stones on the hiking path, so be careful not to trip. The trail is marked well (apart from one point towards the tripod rock where it splits) so we were able to get to our destination fairly easily. It wasn't too crowded, which was nice.
