They offer several sightseeing routes ranging from about 17 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes. My parents and I chose the 45 minute cruise, which ended up being the perfect option, especially since our boat did not have a covered top and we were visiting during an intense Euro-summer heat wave with temperatures over 100°F. The tour was a wonderful way to see the city from a different perspective. We learned about Strasbourg's history through a recorded audio guide available in multiple languages, which made the experience very accessible for international visitors. One of the highlights was passing through the canal locks. For tickets, you can purchase them online or at the visitor center located near the cathedral. Our hotel provided a 10% discount code, which was definitely appreciated since the price is in euros and the exchange rate can add up. Despite the extreme heat, I am so glad we did this tour. It was relaxing, informative, and offered beautiful views of Strasbourg's waterways and historic architecture. I would absolutely do it again on a future visit and preferably when the weather is a bit cooler.

The audio guide was informative, though sometimes a bit hard to hear with the noise around. It did feel a little crowded inside, but still enjoyable. Definitely worth doing once if you're visiting.

Main Railway Station [Strasbourg, France]…read more We hopped off here in Strasbourg for a day trip and explored Strasbourg. As soon as we entered the central station it was like whoa! wow! It was huge and seeing the entire building from the outside made me even marvel more of the size of this thing. The station is the main station in Strasbourg and one of the main stations in France. I've not tried any of the services it had to offer but it looks really busy and everything looks so modern inside with a nice modern canopy. We explored the city of Strasbourg. Everyone goes to Paris but it was a beautiful place in Strasbourg and a memorable experience. Review #4068

We went to Strasbourg on a Sunday in December, arriving by train from Colmar and departing to Paris…read moreless than six hours later. We wasted the first of those precious hours trapped inside the station, my kids and I going stir-crazy in a crowded waiting area while my mom went on a long, difficult quest for a storage locker. I guess there aren't enough lockers to serve the hordes of tourists coming into town for the Christmas markets because my mom had to leave the station and walk another ten minutes to find a place to leave our luggage. Something to keep in mind if you're doing a day trip to Strasbourg. Travel light, or budget time to stash your bags. Otherwise, the station was nice. I didn't appreciate the architecture until we were coming back, but the structure was striking, with a modern glass canopy laid over the historical facade. Trains were easy, and the station was a reasonable walk from the Christmas markets, which I assume were in the center of town. I'd recommend coming in through Strasbourg Station if you're visiting Strasbourg. Just best to give yourself some breathing room when you build your schedule.

Strasbourg Beaurocrats are united against art loving Americans!…read more Against EU regulations, the city of Strasbourg refuses to accept a COVID vaccine card and passport as proof of vaccination. No, you MUST have an EU QR code on a scrap of paper. Can't get one in the US? Too bad. Oh, well you can go to a pharmacy and get the full nose swab test for 50 euros and THEN they might let you into the museums. Pharmacy's closed on Sunday? Too bad. Not the bureaucrats problem. I like Strasbourg, really I do. But I suggest Americans give this place a miss if they want to visit ANY of the museums here, because it is ridiculously difficult to do. Strasbourg, do better!!
