It wasn't the poor paint job, the scratched floors, the lost lock, or the fact that Touchpoint told me I had to replace a 2 year old, perfectly working fridge (for which I, the homeowner, had to call my insurance, schedule a technician to check the fridge, drive to the property for the assessment for the certified technician to tell me everything was in working order...). No, the last straw as to why I'm writing this review is because after all of the above and trying to cancel my service agreement (after I found a tenant in a day with my own photos/listing), it's taken this company TWO WEEKS to actually cancel my agreement and get my keys back to me. Not only did they not return my keys promptly, they were not able to mail the keys to my new address so they left the keys at the rental property AND charged me $50 for a key return service. On top of that, I was charged $50 for tax prep services (of which they've made no income off me because they never even listed my property since it took them over a month to perform the bad paint job, scratch my floors and attempt to replace my working fridge). Oh yeah, and I was charged $169 for a fridge repair guy to tell them my fridge was quickly losing coolant... which again my own technician showed me the coolant was not leaking and fridge was in working order. I am waiting to hear from the owner but perhaps posting my complaints here is the only way he will respond and refund for the asinine and invalid expenses. read more

I drove 45 minutes today to view a property in Concord. I confirmed my viewing via text & email. I arrived at the house, entered the serial # only to be told I do not have permission to access the property. Now the listing is showing it's wait listed pending lease.This is incredibly unprofessional. The least they could have done was cancelled my tour of the prop. Before I wasted my gas & time. I do not recommend this company!! ***update 7/30/21 David there are zero Messages in my spam or junk folder from your property notifying me that the property has been leased. To add to it your employee Whitney Marin sent me an email asking if I would like to view the property once it's ready so it seems that your office has an internal communication problem as you are saying it's already been leased and Whitney offered to show me the property. My family was applying with this company to lease a house, we filled out the applications online and for some unknown reason I kept getting 2 issues, one was that my application would not go through because of my signature, and my card kept on getting declined. So I gave up, I told my family to just cancel their applications because I was not going to waste more time trying to fix the issues. I cancelled my application; however, my brother was not, they kept telling him to finish the process so he could cancel his, long story short, he emailed the leasing company to get his application fee refunded because we were cancelling the applications. What I appreciate about TouchPoint, from a rental perspective, is that David and his team are business minded and motivated to work for both the owner and the tenant. I made an online inquiry about possibly managing my rental in Lincoln Heights. I had a call with Ana on Wednesday and was scheduled to talk to David on Thursday at 2:00 which was yesterday. I received an email in the morning that the meeting was cancelled. There was no explanation, no talk of rescheduling. I wrote an email and called about this yesterday and have heard nothing back. I guess some of the reviews saying the communication is poor are true. The communication is so automated since I received the message cancelling via Google calendar that there are no humans there to talk to that can explain why. TouchPoint has been managing my property in Charlotte for 3 years and I couldn't recommend them more. I live on the West coast and needed a company I could trust and rely on from far away. They found my current tenant and she has renewed her lease not once but twice. The customer service is fantastic and very responsive, I am always impressed with how quickly I get answers to emails etc. even with a 3 hour time difference. Touchpoint Property Management has been showing a rental in my neighborhood on Kotlik Dr and the agent showing the property has been blatantly disrespectful to the residents in the community. She has been parking in spots clearly marked as reserved and the parking regulations are clearly stated on the entrance of the community. She was told several times by neighbors and myself to move her car and refusing to do so . I would think twice before doing business with a company that thinks this is professional behavior. After having the ancient rusting, stove finally have unrepairable issues it was replaced by the owner. New stove was set to arrive on a day I work. I texted the company, (Lowes) and let them know that I had 2 appointments at work and when I would be available which the assured me they understood. Imagine my shock when they call (during my morning meeting) and then text that they are "on the way" to deliver the stove. Needless to say I missed my appointment, but the guys who delivered did a 5 star smashing great and fast job. I'm a bit tired of the "management" company demanding I take pictures of everything 'for them' which is supposed to make things 'better for me and then go through their process to make the owner happy. I keep informing them that it is not my 'job' to do their job. I'm then 'threatened that if I don't 'cooperate' with doing what they want me to then they won't be scheduling any repair work with vendors. I already $120 for their 'website' and the owner's appliance insurance and $120 a year for a/c filters for the owner's home, as well as 'pet rent' all just fees to take peoples hard earned money. It doesn't seem reasonable to expect a tenant to do the management companies job. I work 50+ hours a week and on my time away from work I don't want to work for no pay for the management company. read more

I've been trying to reach this company for a month to schedule a viewing for a rental property - filling out multiple request forms, making multiple phone calls, completing info on their website, etc. and no one has gotten back to me. Meanwhile, they have even dropped the price on the home I'm interested in since they clearly haven't filled it yet. I feel bad for the poor homeowners who are loosing thousands of dollars a month while this sham of a property management company acts like they are showing the home. They clearly have ZERO interest in filling vacant properties with any sense of urgency - one of the most important things to a homeowner. I should have known this reading the reviews. This company probably indulges in the shady practice of hoarding applications and making it their cash cow. I have been trying to contact them for a property I liked to rent and they don't even respond to emails/calls. Interestingly, this property has been lying unrented for more than a month and has seen a price cut of a hundred bucks. When I finally got a reply from them after many follow-ups, they said 'there have been an overwhelming number of applications'. So, sunshine, help me understand, if all you guys take is 2-3 days to make a decision on an application, why isn't the property rented out yet? I gave this company a year and here I am again leaving them a 1 star. I used them to manage a rental for one year and now I am choosing another company. Communication is terrible. Now that I am leaving this management company they are telling me it will take 1-2 months to get the security deposit from them. They did the final walk through and the tenant left food in the fridge. Did they take it out for me? Nope. They just left it in there and let me know about it. We then were contacted on day THREE saying the property was no longer available. Warning- Do not pay application fee and send your personal information to this company to move into one of their listed properties---Please do not WASTE YOU MONEY OR TIME. We scheduled time to view the property and moved forward with the application process online. They only communicate through email...Red Flag! You will never reach anyone by phone and there is a automatic system that will tell you to use email when you call. The extension numbers by phone are also unreachable and will give you a recording "There is a error with your request". I completed the application process including uploading of all my personal information and documents (SS#'s, ID Cards, Paystubs) but continued to receive email after email for the same documents. I resent all documents 3 times and requested for someone to contact me due to concerns. It took 3-4 days to get any follow-up emails when you ask questions and when they respond with the same system generated emails or a different one that mentions something completely different is missing that you already sent. It's going on 2 weeks and these people still have not confirmed if I'm approved or denied. I'm not receiving any new email updates and I have just realized after all they are Scamming people and I will move on with my search. My current landlord was sent a doc signature to complete on my behalf and reached out to David Kerner when she continued to receive emails for the same missing doc signature in which she completed a week prior. The contact number she was provided in his email has a extension number that is not reachable. I really feel sorry for the homeowners who are trusting this company to manager their properties. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, COMMUNICATION, AND RESPONSE TIMES. I am a homeowner, and was looking to utilize their services in helping us get our rental property rented out. After the first call, it took them 8 days to communicate instructions to proceed to next steps, and blamed it on us for not paying the initial $99 fee. We were invited to the landlord portal, but never provided any instructions on what to do after that. After we paid our fee, it then took them another 3 days for them to communicate timeline to get the home on the market. They do not respond to emails or phone calls quickly, IF AT ALL. We asked for things like what the list price will be, what the description of our listing will look like, what the lease will look like...just basics of what you think a property manager would provide in listing your property for rent. After 11 days, they provide none of this, and then communicate to us that we weren't a good fit. So 11 days completely wasted and still not on the market. Unreliable property managers and a complete disappointment given the other good reviews. Now they indicate they refunded my $99 fee but I still have not received it. Terrible practices here. I will never come back nor recommend to anybody I know. read more
