This task is typically…read moreimpossible but I saw this spot, their homepage advertised same day bookings and they actually had times available on their booking site with Alex! I checked the reviews for any mentions of Alex and they were all positive so I was pretty excited. From start to finish Alex was fantastic. He was very accommodating from the get go, offering to turn on the heating on the bed, covered my hair with a towel to keep my hair out of the way and support for my shoulders while he worked on me. It was clear that he was pretty knowledgeable with the body/muscles/anatomy and how to best take care of me with mobility and relaxation in mind, these two things are not always the easiest to find in one massage. I pretty much transcended by the end of the massage and was so, so happy to be pleased and not disappointed with trying out a new business and new therapist. I've gotten many massages and am excited to have found a therapist like him that I can feel confident about booking with again!

I booked an 80 minute deep tissue appointment on September 22 with Andrea, with the understanding…read morethat she was one of more experienced therapists in the office. Once we were in the room she asked me to explain what areas I wanted to focus on. I explained that I had had knee surgery 7 weeks ago and that my calf and hamstring on that leg were tight and needed to be stretched out. She nodded that she understood. She started working on that leg with light pressure and then moved to the left leg. I asked her to please go back and apply more pressure on the right leg and she refused, citing that my surgery was too recent and that she would need to wait 8 weeks to apply more pressure. At the end of the session I asked her why she didn't tell me that she was not going to honor my request when we first discussed it but she just repeated what she had said before. I had booked a longer appointment just to have this issue properly addressed and it was not. I didn't get the work done that I asked for and feel that I am owed at least a partial refund. I left a review at the office but have heard nothing back from them.

Then I make an appointment for two people to get a massage for 10 am, go through a lot of trouble to walk here, and she's not here!!!! I call and she nonchalantly asks me to come at 11 like it's no big deal that she completely didn't show up. Thats really some ridiculous behavior to assume I have nothing else to do. With all the other spas in the city to choose from. Umm sorry-- you want to reschedule after we were already here, on time! What an asshole! So no, we won't be wasting any more time with you, We have plans today.. the plan was to visit you at 10 am, be done at 11 and carry on our day, I don't have time to waste my life all day walking to your business, hoping you might show up to work today. I'm really pissed off you messed up our whole schedule, not to mention waste of time walking all the way here. You are a terrible business. Wasted my time and energy!!!! Seriously horrible! One more thing... if you were going to be late, or cancel or needed to postpone to 11... BE A PROFFESSIONAL, and CALL ME before I trekked all that way out to see you... some people can't be walking blocks and blocks to experience a massage and then the masseuse doesn't show up. Terribly Bad service.

I consistently go 3 days a week so I'm able to see and feel maximum results. I am 50 years young and I've noticed a massive change in my body both physically and internally. Plus my doctor is please that I am reaping the benefits of lymphatic drainage, so it was nice to get her stamp of approval on the roll massage too. I put my health first, so this was a great addition to my wellness plan. I have nicknamed the roll massage: My Personal Trainer's Assistant, because IT IS! I have been in health maintenance now for a little over a year and this is helping me maintain my health at 50, although I still have goals to meet and this is helping me achieve those. And honestly, I couldn't FEEL better than I do after every roll massage. It's a solid 60min of relaxation while that machine does its job and all it promises: Lymphatic drainage Burns fat Tones muscle Reduces the appearance of cellulite Thank you THANK YOU to the owner Olga for bringing these to Chicago! PS: It's been a fun place to spend an hour with my friends as there are 2 machines @ Valena Wellness, we just keep the curtain divider open to chat for an hour, or when I go solo I just close the divider to create privacy and I simply put in my earbuds and chill to my favorite playlist for 60min.
