Massage was rushed and average at best....definitely not worth the $$$. Office space was cramped and very unorganized.

This was definitely a much needed experience. Had a nice relaxing massage by Theresa (she was…read moreamazing). The soak spa was nice as well. I went later in the evening so nobody was there and it was nice and peaceful. Definitely felt like I was on a resort. Also I went upstairs to the bar/hotel afterwards. Hotel is old and eclectic. Bartender was super nice and chill. He's actually a sommelier so we talked about wines. Highly recommend this place

The whole place smelled like mold. My friend booked for a couples massage and they didnt have the room ready so we had get massages separately. OH and it gets worse at check out they double charged me and didn't want to refund me on top of automatically adding the tip in the payment which was 76 dollars and no one told me about this until time of payment. When I complained about these things the management tells me my friend and I were banned from returning which was a blessing because neither of us were coming back anyways. And to top all that all parking gave me a ticket even though I paid for a all day pass when we got there. HORRIBLE SERVICE AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Why does this place have no reviews? I have been going here almost my whole life and I feel like…read morethe rest of Grosse Pointe's population has been too (at least the girls from my generation). The salon is very accommodating (i.e. making appointments, cancelling appointments, getting squeezed in for appointments, etc.). This is clutch, as I no longer live in Michigan and will randomly come home and try to get an appointment. Everyone in the salon is exceedingly kind and great at what they do. Allison is fantastic. My hair is a little difficult to deal with and people who know how to style asian hair are hard to come by in this area. Allison has always found ways to get my hair to do exactly what I have wanted it to do through all the hair phases of my life--from high school events (remember when we all used to get our hair curled for homecoming? guess what, thick asian hair does not hold a curl well at all and Allison figured out how to make it happen) through coming home for Christmas and getting a haircut as an adult. I've probably tried every haircut imaginable, save for shaving my head. But honestly, I don't know what I would have done without her all these years. She is hugely responsible for my confidence and style as a young woman--thanks girl! I just sent my little brother to Lavish to see if Allison could tackle his thick, anti-gravity hair. When it grows out, it literally sticks straight up into all directions without any product. The salon was so helpful and let me pay over the phone. I just facetimed my brother and, as expected, Allison managed to wrangle my brother's hair into something trendy that follows the style he's going for. Cue cool asian vibes. Allison is a master. I really can't vouch for her enough. When I was younger, I would save my after-school job money for a haircut every three months. I thought the haircuts were so expensive, but since I had to live with my hair everyday of my life, I thought it was worth it. After living in a big city, I now recognize that Lavish is an absolute steal. A haircut at Lavish is a FRACTION of the price of a city haircut. Enjoy it while you have it, Grosse Pointers.

I was in Detroit for a staycation and chose this spa for its facilities (e.g., pool, hot tub,…read moreetc.). It was really nice to just drive up and get free valet since the spa validates it. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. Check-in was smooth and they gave us a little tour to orient us before guiding us to the locker room. The changing area could have been bigger, but not a big deal. I like that they separated the hot tub by gender so it felt more private - when I used it, I had it to myself. The pool area was nice with different comfy seating options but it was a little too warm in the room itself so kind of uncomfortable to just sit and relax without going in the water. The music was also a little loud, probably to help drown out the sound of people talking. It didn't really bother me too much but this shared space was definitely not a quiet zone - there was no enforcement for loud talkers. I also wished they had more than just cucumber water, as most other spas I've been to offer tea or a specialty refreshment. For services, I opted for a custom massage. It was just ok - I was surprised she didn't ask me about pressure at the start, but to her credit she did lighten up when asked. It's pretty great that you can book any service and enjoy the facilities all day (with no time limits). I would definitely come back!

I have been to immerse many times. Sad to say that the quality of experience does not measure up to…read morethe cost. The treatments are supreme. But the cleanliness of the amenities take away from the experience and win would not recommend. The hot tub had literal dirt/scum in it. The shower had mold. If I come back it will be for treatment, only.
