I have contacted other florists as well, but she was the most friendly and quickest in terms of responding emails with answers of all the questions and requests I sent. So I decided to work with her. So I sent some pictures of my favourites to ask her to design a new for my special people. She made the most gorgeous flower set. My order was with delivery and everything was done in a very satisfied way on time. She was one of the best florists I have ever worked with, most reliable and provided definitely with a great service. I would like to give 5 stars for all three service, design quality, and price!

However, when I arrived at 4:00 PM, the flowers had not yet arrived. I called the business, and was told that the delivery driver would arrive within 30 minutes. The flowers were finally delivered at 4:30 PM, but to my disappointment, the driver left them at the front door without making any attempt to contact me. This level of service is completely unacceptable, and I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience.

The bouquet was like the store's Chinese name: Created with Thought and Care. They phoned to ensure I was there before delivering. All in all an 11 out of 10 experience. Fading like a flower…read more.. After the florist I have been to for over 10 years screwed up badly a few times consecutively, I decided to change (the biggest failure of any business is losing loyal decade long customers over incompetence to deliver what customers request and paid for). The first couple of times were exceptional good with my orders here. However, the last 2 times I needed to ask them to redo the whole floral arrangement and design (funny how I have to tell them what to add and how to wrap it :facepalm) I paid extra for that which I didn't mind cause most of the time we buy flowers for special occasions such as birthdays, Mother's Day, Valentine's Day, etc... a decent florist or flower shop should keep that in mind. Can't just whatever with a flower order especially a customer pay good money for them (can't be the same result as me picking a few dandelions off the sidewalks, wrap it with a sandwich bag and voila.. call it the day). Anyways ordered a dozen of pink rose bouquet for a relative's birthday (preordered it a few days ahead, website said $72 but store charged me $92 before tax... perhaps update your website?) When I went to pickup the rose bouquet, I was literally speechless. It's utterly one of the worst bouquet of roses I have ever seen, I literally could've pickup one from Safeway for $19.99 and would've been 10x more pleasing to look at. The roses look as it just did a marathon at the Sahara desert, some of the leaves have bug bites and a 5 year old could've done the wrapping better. I was too embarrassed to give it as is, had to go home to put the roses in a glass vase with some water, trimmed off the bug bite leaves, rewrapped it. I would've just ask for a refund if time wasn't tight. (:facepalm) Seriously, it is unacceptable because just like I said most flower orders are for a special occasion or special someone (seldom to an ex and hope they choke on a bug). I don't need an apology or want anything in return, but please deliver a product at least presentable for what your customers paid for. Unfortunately wouldn't be a repeat for me, this was the 3rd time it failed to deliver. (maybe it's time for me to secretly borrow my neighbours roses from his rose bed and master the artistry of being a good florist). Are good florists hard to find nowadays or the creativity is fading like a flower??

Passing through Lonsdale Quay or on your way back to the seabus terminal, the no doors format of Margitta's flowers puts on full display the fresh and vividly colorful flowers and bouquet arrangements that this shop has to offer. I particularly love this store as they carry the stunning Bird of Paradise stems and a rotating selection of Orchid stems depending on what they receive at the warehouse auction, among other more generally seen flowers. You'll also see Heliconia, Rose, Lily, Sunflowers and Freesias to name a few, all displayed in a beautiful floor to ceiling arrangement making it seem like a walk through a jungle. Throughout the year Margitta's will stock cymbidiums in small ($10-11 per stem) and large format ($1.50 per bud), mokara, oncidium, phalenopsis, paphiopedilum and dendrobium orchids if you're an orchid fanatic like myself. The dendrobium stem ($4) I got lasted me from January to April, so it was quite the surprise for me and gave me months of blooms. Whether you're here to purchase a single stem to liven up a living space, or assembling a bouquet for a special event, Margitta and her staff always positively greet their customers and offer knowledgeable advice on the different blooms and their availability.
