    Garlic Parmesan Wings
    Mosiah L.

This restaurant just opened up recently and has replaced Hong Kong City (a place I reviewed several months ago). It's already an upgrade in comparison to the business it has replaced. The renovation inside is an improvement. It looks brand new and has football banners for the Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on the walls. There are new chairs, four small tables, and a flat screen television in one corner just below the ceiling. The staff is made up of mostly black and Asian employees. Some of them are new but I did recognize one of the Asian women who worked there when it was Hong Kong City. She's a cool person and it's good that she still works there. The food is better too. I've already ordered from there a couple of times, most recently this past Super Bowl Sunday (2/2/2020). I placed an order over the phone for 30 garlic Parmesan wings and six cheese sticks. It cost $22.85. Since I live within walking distance, I waited about fifteen minutes before I left home. Even though the place was crowded when I got there, I didn't have to wait long before my order was ready. The wings were perfect! It was my first time getting cheese sticks there. I was expecting them to be like the ones at Papa John's but theirs are smaller and have a breaded crust with cheese on the inside. It wasn't bad though. But the wings had just the right amount of flavor and size. Since I've only been there a few times, my orders usually are of wings and shrimp fried rice. They have 30 different flavors of wings. I have had the spicy lemon pepper wings and they are excellent too. They also sell fish (whiting, catfish & tilapia), Philly cheese steaks, burgers, gyros, chicken tenders, salads, onion rings, fries, chicken nuggets, egg rolls, jalapeno poppers, and more. At first, I was disappointed that Hong Kong City closed but Touchdown Wings is an upgrade. I'm rating it 4.4 stars and rounding it out to a four.

This is when ordering online goes wrong. SMH I made my order online and even though on google, the address shows as "Hong Kong City" the photos showed me I was ordering from the correct place. I tried this place once before when they first opened and had a good experience, so I decided to try again. Well, I should've been patient and order from one of the wing spots that didn't offer an online option (I blame me) I ordered 2 wing combos and 2 Philly sandwiches. Upon entering the restaurant, I was SMACKED in the FACE by an awful odor. Nothing that should be coming out of place selling food. This IMMEDIATELY made me want to check the restaurants grade... to my unpleasant surprise, it was a 70!!! I don't even eat at Waffle Houses with a grade score that low. (N I'm an Atlanta native, I'll eat at almost ANY Waffle House) THIS made me check the kitchen.... Not a soul had on gloves.... If I could got my money back, I would have. I prayed to ALL of the heavens that we wouldn't get sick over this $50 wing meal. I mean, so far, the food isn't bad. Lol. I would recommend asking for no mayo on your Philly if you're a person that only tolerates mayo like myself. I mistakenly bit into my sandwich not realizing what I thought was cheese, was actually mayo. And, well.. gross. I order the touchdown special and so far it's tasty! The cashier didn't provide me any wings sauce. They almost forgot my drinks. Overall bad experience, probably won't return. I rated them a 2 star because the food isn't that bad. If you get it delivered, you wouldn't even know!

This use to be the Chinese restaurant called Hong Kong city . They closed down and open up this spot. The same people who own Hong Kong city own this. The food is good and delicious . They had a $6.99 10pc combo special but it ended . I will go back to try other food on the menu .

Good food in the plaza hands down. Even better than the American Deli across the street and I use to love them.

I ordered the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. The sweet boy had to tell me when I got there to pick up that there were no strawberries. That's fine I said. I have strawberries at home. But when I got home, I opened it to see 4 slices of the French toast. The slices were slightly bigger than a slice of white bread from the store. Still fine even though it was $15. Then I had to scrape of the ridiculous amount of cinnamon burnt on the bread. Then I tasted it and it was like dry bread with a burnt cinnamon layer even after scraping the bulk of it off. It also had the taste of a burger or steak on the really burnt parts. The homemade whipped cream was weird too. Usually it would melt on hot food but it kind of just balled up in a strange texture. I'll definitely still come back because I live close and I've had great food there before and I love the bartenders and servers and the owner (or GM?) who personally greets me almost every time. Hopefully this was a one off.

The food itself was excellent. The menu is basically set, so you'd hope they do it well, and they do! Bread was great, salad solid, fries were the best I've ever had, and steak rich and delicious. Steak can be cooked to each person's preferred temperature which is also nice. It's definitely got a nicer atmosphere, good for a date night or celebration, and I would definitely come back.

I was a bit surprised to see that they were pretty empty inside (6:30pm on a Saturday seems like prime time), but the ambiance was pleasant, nonetheless. Our server was knowledgeable and walked us through the wine list -- I always appreciate when they don't just recommend the most expensive bottles. We ended up ordering a Sazerac and Corpse Reviver, but wished we had ordered wine. The drinks were both pretty warm, and it may be the first time ever that we've left cocktails unfinished. The bread and salad came out, and both were delicious. Our server did warn us that the cheese on the salad was not pasteurized, which seemed like a strange choice for a restaurant, but oh well. For such a simple salad, it was excellent. The bread and butter were great, too, but the olive oil tasted a bit rancid to me. Soon after we finished the bread and salad, our steak frites were served. I am normally a filet girl, through and through, but the NY Strip was so tender and flavorful that I forgot I wasn't eating a filet. It was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and despite the other reviews, the serving was plenty -- 7-8oz each. The fries were so good that I couldn't quit eating them, long after I was full. The garlic aioli and béarnaise sauce were delicious, as well. Definitely worth the $49/person! I found it a bit frustrating that the restroom was downstairs in their sister restaurant, Little Sparrow, but it wasn't really an issue. Overall, good food, good service, great ambiance, but the cocktails could use some work. Will probably return, but it's not at the top of my list.

I have been wanting a Turkey burger for a few weeks so I finally decided to feed my craving! I…read moretypically go to LOL burger, but read a review that raved about the turkey burger at this spot! I was sold! I arrived around 3:30pm. They have a dedicated parking a lot that had plenty of open spots when I arrived. When I walked in I read the sign that said seat yourself, so I did just that . The wait staff immediately came over with a menu. She asked if I needed another drink besides water. I am not a fan of ice cold water so I did request water with no ice. I checked out the menu period to arriving so I already knew my order ! I opted for the turkey burger with Parmesan garlic fries. The sound of this had my mouth watering in anticipation as I waited for my food to arrive . It appears the food was cooked fresh because it took a good 15 minutes for my food to arrived. There were only two other patrons in the restaurant so they were not busy . When my food arrived - I got so excited to take that first bite . I started with the fries! I enjoyed them but I did not taste the garlic . Additionally I am accustomed toParmesan cheese being grated thin- the cheese on the fries did not look like Parmesan, but they were tasty! Would I order them again? - no- they just did not taste like Parmesan garlic fries so no need to pay extra for it next time . Now for the star of the show--- this turkey burger was amazing!! Here is the deal, the actual Pattie is nothing special - it's what is included with the Pattie that makes this good. The kale slaw , and the sauce - oh my gosh!! You get every macro you need , protein , carbs and fiber!!! Then to make it even better it has a spicy kick to it ! When I tell you I cleaned my plate ! There was not one crumb on my plate when I finished! My only complaint -- please clean the router and the items next to it ! I sat in the booth directly by the router and the amount of dust on that thing was disturbing ! I wanted to clean it myself! I am sure this does not need to be stated - but I will be back and I would recommended you check this spot out !

If you go and don't order it, you're doing it wrong. It's rich, flavorful, perfectly melty, and honestly worth the visit all on its own. The outdoor patio is another win -- spacious enough to spread out, but still cozy and inviting. It's the kind of spot that makes you want to grab another round just to stay a little longer. Speaking of rounds, the pours here are generous (yes, finally!) and everything on the menu feels thoughtfully priced. No sticker shock -- just solid value across the board. All in all, The Companion is the kind of place you can count on: whether you're stopping by for a casual lunch or kicking back for happy hour. I'll definitely be back.

The space is clean but not sterile: exposed brick, warm wood, and a bar that glows like it wants you to linger. *The food* skips the tired "burgers and mac" checklist. Think short rib agnolotti with smoked corn puree, charred broccolini with miso-garlic butter, and a fried chicken sandwich that somehow stays crisp under a jalapeño honey glaze. Portions are generous without being wasteful, and everything tastes intentional like the kitchen tested it 10 times before it hit the menu. *The cocktails are the real flex.* The menu changes seasonally, but the bar team leans into flavor over gimmicks. I tried the *Oaxacan Old Fashioned* with mezcal, mole bitters, and orange peel that's torched tableside. Smoky, slightly sweet, zero gimmick. My friend went for the *Cucumber Basil Gimlet* and said it tasted like summer in a glass. No sugary syrup bombs here. Bartenders actually explain what's in your drink if you ask, and they're good at steering you if you're unsure. Service hit the sweet spot between attentive and relaxed. Water refills showed up without hovering, and the server knew the menu well enough to call out what's spicy, what's rich, and what's worth splitting.
