Pizza with grilled eggplant and bell peppers
Cinthia K.

Came here for dinner one night while we were in Florence. As the name would suggest, this particular restaurant specializes in pizzas, so it may not be the best place to go to if you're looking for something that isn't pizza. I got their pizza that came with grilled eggplant and bell peppers, while the rest of my party got their own personal pies. We all liked our selections and thought this restaurant made some good pizza, though I suppose it would be hard to find a truly terrible pizzeria in Italy.

White pizza with courgettes sundried tomatoes burrata and truffle

Amazing pizza and salad for lunch. This was a great comb. I forget the exact menu names of these items but this pizza with the courgette flowers and the salad with artichokes were perfect together. Service was fast.

So good!

BEST FUCING PIZZA IN FLORENCE! Apparently I'm the 1st to Review...so all you Yelping tourists missed this place! A ton of local Italians kept coming in and out, so I know it was legit despite having a few tourists wander in too and being near the Pitti Palace. These beautiful, fresh, unique, delicious pizza slices are only 2-3 euro each...eat here!

Great wine

Chun and Erica P also told us about this place. We were wandering around and found it be accident and since we were starving, we decided to go in. Great little place. Ordered a bottle of wine, and because she misunderstood we were able to get two extra glasses. We ordered a sausage and what we thought was pepperoni pizza but roasted red peppers came out with the sausage instead. So we learned a new word for the day. The pizza was great! Superb crust! But what was amazing was the two slices of potato and onion slices we ordered after! Never thought I'd eat potatoes on a pizza. By the time we left, we were pretty happy....but I also think the wine had a higher alcohol content cause I fell right to sleep as soon as I got to the hotel

Rosemary&potato pizza

Came here once, and probably the last time because their rosemary & potato pizza gave me a really bad stomachache later on in the day.. I don't know how long it might have been sitting out for since their slices seemed kind of cold when I tried mines and had a bite out of other people's. Don't know if I want to come back.

The potato and rosemary slice... yum!

I could have eaten far more of this than the one slice I got to go... it was light and the flavor of the rosemary was perfect on pizza and paired well with the potatoes. I'll definitely be trying to make this at home (but I most certainly won't do as well as the folks here). Quick, friendly service and enough English to compensate for our limited Italian. Check it out!

Calzone

The brothers that run this place are doing a superb job. Unlike a lot of the tourist restaurants in Florence, the food here is amazing. What to a restaurant in the square by the Duomo yesterday...worst pizza and calzone I've had in awhile, including the States. Costco pizza was better. Wish I were kidding. Then I was struggling to find a restaurant open in the afternoon that didn't charge cover charges and every other hidden charge for terrible good when I decided to take a chance here. I'm glad I did! The calzone and pizza were crispy and showed an attention to detail like I'm used to in Italy. It's sad the restaurants around the Duomo take no pride in their food the way these brothers do. I'll be back to this restaurant anytime I'm around Pitti Palace.

The meat pizza was just thrown together, nothing special, and the sausage on pizza was raw. Cappuccino's were cold.

No table service here, you order up front and wait at your table for your food to be ready. Great menu selection to choose from. I ordered the regular sized pizza topped with tomato, mozzarella, spicy calabrese salame, and mushrooms. The crust was thin and perfectly crisp. The pizza was fresh and still steaming hot when I brought it back to my hotel which was a 5 minute walk away. The pizza took about 5 minutes to make so if you're in a hurry or hangry, this place is fantastic for a quickly prepared meal.

The #9 was gorgonzola and pear. It came out piping hot and the cheese was almost falling off the pizza it was so fresh. This pizza has changed my understanding of what a great pizza is. Thin, delicious, not greasy, extra cheesy, and combined with the pear perfectly. I thought I'd only eat half, but easily finished all of it because it wad that mind blowing. My wife loved her pizza as well, but sure was jealous of the #9. Now on to the owner. It was just my wife and I and Luciano the owner in the store. He talked to us for a good 15 minutes after we were done eating and even gave us a fresh slice of prosciutto to try after asking if we liked Pork... just because we were talking about how fresh food makes the difference between good and bad food. Such an amazing owner that really puts passion into his product. Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed with the food here!
