Simply amazing and unique hand soaps, all 100% handmade shampoos, lotions, oils, candles, and much more. The decor and different scents was just beautiful, and the customer service was just incredible. The shop owner and her son were amazing answering any questions and explaining all the ingredients on the soaps, lotions and oils. Love that they will be offering classes to learn to make your own soap, and candles. All the soaps smells so great making it extremely hard to just choose one, they are beautifully hand crafted, and just so elegantly prepared.

This store stocks many other local businesses and it's a great chance to try something new! Many vegan, ingredient conscious gifts and itsms. For those who refill, they also sell bulk soap so you can bring in your container. I've personally only purchased wax melts, and they are the best! I only wish I could buy more, but they last so long and their scent throw is great! Many candle-makers don't make melts and I was elated that they had so many in stock. The owner and her son are fantastic - always happy to help and they work very hard. The window displays change more often than Macy's, and the themes are so cute (they even had a Barbie theme over the summer)! They are always happy to give recommendations, chat, and it feels so welcoming whenever I go in - they don't make it easy to leave without half a bag of free samples. Their doggie floor manager is a plus too! He is always checking up on customers and is very sweet. All in all: this is a great place to stop in! Love Dierdre and Matthew and hope you meet them soon~

They have a great selection of sustainable, low-waste products for everyday use, from refillable essentials to plastic-free and reusable essentials. Shopping here helps me reduce waste while still getting high-quality products I love. I highly recommend for anyone wanting to create a more eco-friendly home and live a greener lifestyle.

It feels like a place to shop if you want to virtue signal. I wanted to look into more sustainable options and decrease the amount of plastic I consume via containers. I had gotten a few things (bar shampoo, toothpaste pellets, etc) online at the Zero Waste store, but prefer to keep it local whenever I can. When I heard about E.F. I decided to check it out, but was surprised at the prices, which are astronomical for what you get. I expected bulk pricing and BYO containers to result in better pricing, but was mistaken. In spite of the cost, I gave a couple products a try thinking perhaps the quality would be superior quality, and walked away with a small lotion stick that was $20 and has a weird smell, and some bulk lotion (orange blossom, I think) that smells good but wasn't very moisturizing and cost $13 for maybe about a cup worth. According to my kitchen scale, about 5 oz. Only a select few people are going to be able to lotion up through a Chicago winter for $2 an ounce when you could double the amount with a store brand. Good on you if you can extract some wealth from the people who have too much, but this is just not a store for everyone. I found some other small businesses and switched to bar soap and lotion to avoid buying more plastic, and there are a couple online options for cleaning products and such.

The cashier was talking to the customer in front of me until 12:02. When I was next to ask for the liquor she told me I just missed it and I told her she was talking to the man until 12:02. She said u have to be in line with the alcohol which was impossible because it was behind the counter. Then as I purchased my last item and started to walk out she said last call for alcohol really loud. I guess she was trying to be funny but the audience didn't laugh. She's very rude , unprofessional, and ignorant. I couldn't get her name, but she was older woman glasses and a curly Mohawk . Definitely won't be back thank you !

Was asked to come back the following afternoon 3 pm April 8, only to be told it has not left the 'warehouse' yet. - the floors have not been swept, merchandise on shelves of regular items are all scattered and in disarray, there was only one pharmacist and two cashiers for a line of 20-25 people. Some customers have a whole shopping bag of prescriptions and they ask the cashier for dosage information instead of getting that from their doctor ahead of time. - I got to observe all these things because it was really a long wait and that's very often when I come to this location at various random hours.
