I used to go to the Dundee location and learned it closed during Covid. But I have to say, Miriah and TJ, the owners of Swan Creek Candle Perry were very welcoming and friendly. Their wax stock was impressive and cheaper than when I shopped at the Dundee location. They have a points system which I signed up for and will keep connected on their Facebook page: Swan Creek Candle Perry. I will be back for more stock in a few months and happy that I still have a good source to go to where I can smell the new scents in person . I was even impressed with their free shipping for orders over a certain amount in the event I need something right away. Thanks Mariah and TJ for your help today; your store is delightful and reminiscent of Dundee.

Horrible customer service with lack of policy explanation, and comprehension. We WERE a…read morelongstanding wholesale customer with swan creek, bought in excess, and didn't purchase for a few years while we went through our stock. Debbie Duke informed us that they run on territory and because ONE other store in town, holds their candles, we are no longer allowed to purchase wholesale? The other store in question started buying AFTER we already held an account for multiple years (or held territory, in debbies words) So we held the territory, according to Debbie and then they backdoored us with selling to a different business within said territory. After asking for clarification on said policy, she said that we had two years after our last purchase date before we are classified as a new wholesale business. After the two years the territory is no longer allocated to us. We never recieved notification that if we didn't purchase by a certain date we would loose access to buying wholesale. So not only did they blindside us by not notifying our business of the potential loss in wholesale status/territory, they did it quietly, set up another account in the same town, our territory, and then when we went to order more we were struck with "we have a better customer already in your town" WHAT!? It appears they just stick with whatever company purchases more and screws the other small busineses which to that is contradicting especially if they claim to hold territory and respect to the other businesses sales. They didn't do it for us. They didn't hold territory for us, nor were we notified of the impending loss of wholesale status PRIOR to THEM taking on another store within our territory. Extremely disappointed. I won't even get into the WHOLE attitude from the front desk receptionist and Debbie herself. While I can understand the sass and attitude from minimum effort workers, I am blessed with backgrounds in law, customer service and psychology to understand that people just have weird days. Hopefully Debbie gives me a call back, with a better attitude and her listening ears working. She "didn't have time to look into the account" nor listen when I called because she wanted to go have lunch...maybe she was hangry

Heartfelt Reflections - Candles and wax melts.

If you are a person who is into candles and aromatherapy, then you'll probably like Heartfelt…read moreReflections. As a person who appreciates the power of aromatherapy myself, I can safely say that I liked this place a lot. A few weeks ago, I stopped in and purchased a set of their "break apart" herbal melts in buttercream vanilla to use in one of those special two-tier burners. I've never used the burner before, but I've had it for quite awhile, so I gave their herbal melt pack a whirl to see if it smelled as good as it did in the store. I'm not going to lie- the stuff smells so good when it's burning that I almost literally felt as if I could taste the flavor of vanilla buttercream in my mouth. It was like the aroma of a freshly baked cake wafting through my house. Just breaking open the package, it smelled terrific, but it was magnified x 10 once it started burning. My house smelled like the most decadent bakery around and I hadn't baked so much as a cookie. My husband walked upstairs and without thinking, asked "What are you baking?" He was disappointed there were no goodies in sight. I've since found that the herbal melts and candles all burn for much longer than traditional candles. They seem to be on a par with Yankee Candle Co products, but maybe a bit cheaper in price, but not in quality. The jar candles cost under $13 and come in a decent size, while the herbal melts were $6.50 for a pack of six "break apart" pieces. All of their jar candles, herbal melts and room sprays are from the Swan Creek Candle Co. line. Both the candles and herbal melts are composed of 100% natural (American soybean) wax, which means they burn longer and safer. These candles not only have better longevity, but they drip less and make little to no mess, plus they smell so very good. I like this line a lot, even though it costs more than cheap discount store candles, which aren't worth my time or money. These are marketed as clean burning and lead free. They had everything from fruity and spicy scents to sweet, woodsy and even natural aromas. In fact, they had so much to choose to from (fresh baked pie, coffee, buttercream vanilla, pumpkin spice, and lemon to more earthy scents like lavender, fresh rain, and pine aromas) that it was hard to nail down just one favorite. The fragrances are unbelievable. They smell like the real deal, not some fake, half-hearted attempt at reproducing an authentic scent. The ones that are marketed to recreate food or beverage-inspired flavors seem almost edible. They smell so good, they make you hungry. I know, I got a little hungry myself. The ones that aren't food or beverage-based smell as close to their real life counterparts as is possible. However, there aren't so pungent to be considered overwhelming the senses. Nope, they just smell good. I'll say this- those candles are great for recreating a mood or sparking a memory. If a certain scent brings back a specific memory, this could certainly do the trick. We all know that scent and memory are inextricably linked, which is clearly why certain scents bring back specific memories (usually fond ones). Apart from the candles, herbal melts and room fragrances, they also sell burner units for the wax melts, sage and such, plus aromatic oils and even jewelry. Everything seemed reasonably priced and the owner was quite helpful, even downright knowledgeable about his product line, including fragrances, burn time, prices, and how to use the wax burners for the novice. Even though these candles are little more expensive, I think I'll bypass those cheap $2 discount candles made in China from now on and stick with higher quality.
