I raised this issue repeatedly over a 9-month period with both their billing and contracts teams. Despite multiple follow-ups and formal dispute notices, I either received no response or vague explanations that did not address the core issue. In the meantime, WiLine continued billing me at the higher rates without providing any resolution. They eventually acknowledged the increases, but were unable to point to anything in the signed agreement that clearly allows for discretionary rate hikes beyond CPI. Posting notices on invoices or portals does not change the terms of a signed contract. This experience has been extremely frustrating. The combination of unilateral price increases, lack of accountability, and prolonged non-responsiveness is not what you expect from a service provider under a long-term agreement. I would not recommend WiLine to anyone. If you do consider them, review the contract carefully and be aware that your monthly cost may increase significantly over time with little recourse.

Also, they have a class action lawsuit against them

First visit he hooked me up with James, who suggested a new router, free of charge, would boost wifi at home.Talked me out of buying wifi extenders. He was right! Much better reception on our phones when out of range. Had trouble connecting to internet without wifi, went back and Manager did the final activation on my phone. Works! James the phone dude also gave us a much better monthly charge for our phone lines if we changed from Verizon. We came back a week later to get the phones and new contract. James stayed with us entire time until our phones were activated. Had to come back later that day (disclaimer: we live two blocks away, not a big deal) for another hiccup. Manager dude fixed it right away. Then yesterday we realized our new phones not paired with cars. Yikes! Couldn't figure it out. Went back in, Manager dude helped another waiting customer but then actually came out to the car with me and in five minutes showed me how to delete old phone from settings and add new phone. Anyway I know the company has many complaints, mine among them regarding speaking to a live agent. We're fortunate to live nearby and going in person changes everything. For this particular issue, not the rest of the legit issues folks have, I wanted to shout out what a great job they have been doing.

Abed however was the only one who at least gave the impression they wanted to help. Shout out to him. Everyone else could be replaced by lab chimps and the service would probably improve.

Pros: cheap wifi. Cons: customer support…read more Tried to cancel once and they offered me a very low price for 1Gbps wifi and a $200 gift card. They followed through on the lower rate but never sent the gift card. When I tried to follow up about the gift card 6 months later, it was 40-minutes of a painful back-and-forth of verifications, sending me over to a different department, not having records of a previous interaction, etc. All the while being unable to read the room and trying to upsell me multiple times with offers on mobile lines. Enjoyed the cheap wifi. But not worth the pain of having to contact their customer support. Learned my lesson

After nearly twenty years as a customer, I can no longer recommend Astound. Over time, the company…read morehas repeatedly increased prices while reducing the value of the service--offering lower internet speeds and fewer TV channels than before. I have contacted customer service multiple times to discuss the significant price differences between what long-term customers pay and the promotional rates offered to new customers, as well as the more competitive pricing available from other providers. Unfortunately, the only response has been small temporary credits and continued reductions in services while monthly bills keep rising. Given the lack of meaningful resolution, I will be canceling my service and returning to Comcast, which currently offers substantially lower pricing, significantly faster internet speeds, and a more complete channel lineup. It is disappointing to see how far this company has declined from the quality and value it once provided. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage prospective customers to carefully compare options before choosing Astound.

Tekify Fiber & Wireless - Outside wiring - the black wire goes from the wall all the way up to the roof

The Good ° $65 a month, no guessing ° More reliable than Xfinity ° Better Customer service than Xfinity & AT&T - You can reach them by text and they respond back quite quickly ° Easy & clean installation ° Upload speed is amazing! I'd only get 6-14 Mbps with Xfinity, so 90 Mbps is a huge upgrade for streaming The Bad ° The wireless point to point isn't blazing fast. Average 315-420 Mbps - Only really felt when gaming or updating The Ugly ° Not Tekify's fault, really it's largely the whole bay area, but no fiber option at my old house and at my new house ° Can't service a lot of friends I've recommended because of trees blocking line of sight Xfinity had better speed overall but I was always guessing what I'd get from day to day and it would always randomly go down. For half the price and better reliability and customer service, Tekify is a much better value!

We were getting more and more frustrated with Xfinity internet due to outages and rate increases…read morewithout notice. We did a ton of research before going with Tekify. We worked with Ryan, who was able to answer all our questions. Their monthly rate is 1/2 what we paid for Xfinity. It's only been a week, but our internet has not dropped once. Moises, the installer, arrived on time and did the entire installation himself in about 4 hours. He first set up a temporary antenna to check the download and upload speeds. Our speed was even better than what they had quoted. Once the antenna was set up on our roof, a cable is then connected to an outlet in our house. Once we set up our routers, everything worked seamlessly. Moises didn't leave until we confirmed that all of our devices were connected. If you live in the Fremont or neighboring areas, I highly recommend Tekify for your internet service.

For us, they gave the best of both worlds: unified networking and home security, but also the best bang-for-your-buck technology with no long-term contracts. They came out for a free consultation, provided quotes with multiple options at different price points, and created a custom plan for our home that gave us an optimal networking setup. When they came out to do the work, they were friendly and professional and executed the job very cleanly. So far I'm quite satisfied with the results; the internet and UniFi system they installed has been great. Would hire again!

It's only about 15 feet as the crow flies, but there were lots of studs, joists, and built-in cabinets in the way. Both HOA CC&R and basic aesthetics say no to running cables along exterior walls - but that was the only solution the ISP installers were willing to offer. Enter Cable Shmable. Instead of giving a rough guesstimate, Karim came out in person to review the scope of work, propose a cable path, and provide a solid estimate. The very next workday, Alex and Yunus arrived to do the job. Having Alex and Yunus work on my project felt like being in a happy place. They showed up on time, brought all the right tools, gizmos, and materials, and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. Their cabling expertise was obvious as they masterfully navigated the fiber through every obstacle and got it exactly where it needed to go. When they finished, the work area was actually cleaner than when they arrived. As a finishing touch, Alex and Yunus are genuinely friendly, easygoing people to work with. They listened patiently to my layman suggestions, explained the intricacies of fiber optics, and ultimately proposed, and implemented, a cable path that was both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing. The name Cable Shmable really fits. It carries an aura of ease and a true "can-do" attitude. When it comes to cables and networking, there's nothing these guys can't handle. I highly recommend Cable Shmable for all your networking needs.
