You need to put it behind the counter. ( my purse is a Vera Bradley Disney bag) My husband says that's her purse.. she says, ok take your purse out of the bag and I'll put your bag behind the counter. I say nooo these are my belongings. (I have cash, credit cards, car keys, my phone, a Louis Vuitton wallet, and my children's wallets with their cash) She says "you're not allowed to have a back pack, it's on the door"... my husband (who is a police officer) says "let's go! She thinks we're going to steal!" She says, "no, it's just if you happen to turn around and break something you'll have to pay for it". I have never broke anything is any store with my purse in my life. I have also been to this store multiple times with no issues. (I don't carry a normal purse. I always wore it on my back because I have 3 kids and don't wanna set it down.) So we walked out and I will never got back. Do better

There are still a few pieces of furniture deeply discounted (bookshelves for $25.00), a couple racks of clothes and some kitchen items, hangers, toys still for sale but beware... the offerings are exceptionally few. The shop is nearly empty, and the staff seem preoccupied enough to even notice you are there. From Sloan's Thrift Facebook page: Exciting News! Sloans thrift will be closing its doors and relocating across the street to its new location next to the new Planet Fitness (old rite aid location or for better clarity, near Ollie's. This move is already in process. Even thought the idea saddens us, we are looking forward to a bigger location. The plan is to close up last week in April and reopen May1st. Although the salesperson was extremely friendly, his knowledge about what he was selling was lacking. Either that, or he acted ignorant simply to justify what he was selling. Luckily, I was adamant about not getting their freezer, so I had no reason to continue this service after the initial purchase. I had specific items requested when we placed the first (and only) order. The primary purchase (simple chicken breasts) were the largest part of the order and it was completely missing from the order. It took multiple emails and a phone call before I finally received them nearly 6 weeks later. The 'thick cut' pork chops were thinner than the standard ones I would get at the store. When I called about it, they assured me I received the right item. I created a spreadsheet with each item against a comparable, high-end, organic item at the 'nicer' grocery stores in the area and found this service to be at least 4x the cost. Everything being individually wrapped sounds good in theory until you open them and realize that you couldn't tell the average (at best) quality until opened. Also, around 10% of them leaked when thawing out which meant the seal was garbage on these. Needless to say, they reached out a couple weeks ago asking when I would like to get my next delivery. I told them to lose my contact information and haven't heard from them since. The issues above were only about half the problems I had with the initial order and overall process. I got conned by the show floor booth worker and learned my lesson. I hope you learn from my mistake.
