Easy to miss. No mention of a restaurant.

Truly authentic Mexican food in Bristol PA. This place is so easy to miss, as it's in the back of a small Mexican grocery store. As you pass through the store, you can tell it's authentic. Once in back, there are three tables and a deli-type counter. You order by number with maybe 10 choices. My favorite is the chicken tacos that come three to an order with nicely seasoned chicken, cilantro and onion. The salsa verde is a wonderful compliment. The chicken quesadillas are also fantastic with such good queso cheese. Come git you some, just don't tell others. Great little joint that you'll want to keep to yourself.

Chicken quesadilla, small salad with avacado and tomato, small side of Mexican rice. (All included with quesadilla) fucking banging !

They have very good authentic Spanish food. I recommend the Mexican rice and the chicken quesadilla. Also they have really good prices. Definitely will be coming back. I stop here during my school lunch breaks. Muchos gracias !

Stopped for a quick bite, small eat in area clearly not a restaurant. Bottles of soda and a 9 item photo menu. Got a beef burreto and the chicken quesadilla. Food is very good and for the serving size are right for the price

Let me start by saying that I'm not a huge fan of the toppings that are usually included on authentic Mexican tacos. I'm a huge lover of sour cream and although it isn't traditional on a lot of food, I absolutely love the flavor and creaminess that it brings to so many dishes, especially Latino food. The restaurant in the back of this Mexican grocery is one place that I've been wanting to go to for a while. The first time I went several months ago, I was met with closed doors because the hours listed on Google are not accurate. I came far too late. When I finally made it in today, I was astounded by the incredibly wide range of Mexican items they had at the grocery. It's awesome to find a place like this in Bristol. I ordered a set of 3 tacos el pastor and a set of 3 tacos carne asada. I didn't sit in as I knew I'd prefer to eat them in the comfort of my own home. Upon getting home, I added all included toppings to the tacos, but used my own sour cream. I first, however, took a bite before adding my own sour cream. The tacos were quite good, I'd say a solid 3.5/5. I only wished for the meat to be a bit more on the juicier side than the drier side. Adding the sour cream made the tacos a 4/5. The service was prompt and friendly. And of course, my mango Jarritos was a delicious addition to the food. I enjoyed going there and I'd love to go back at some point to really comb through the grocery portion of the place and see what good finds I can discover. There seems like so much to taste, from Mexican candies to drinks to other snacks.

I was so thrilled to find this Mexican grocery store! Trying to find certain Mexican products in my area is like trying to nail jelly to a tree! Especially when it comes to making chili and needing the right peppers and adobo sauce. I literally look for certain products I need when traveling, just to stock up and have them on hand, but I don't need to do that anymore! The store is jam packed with rows and rows of anything Mexican you need, fresh peppers galore, huge jalapenos, dried peppers and peppers in you name it, be it jelly or hot sauce. Baked goods, candy, drinks, tortilla chips and corn or flour tortillas. They have a small deli area and I zeroed in on chorizo sausages, along with this I bought fresh peppers, pinto beans, refried beans, corn and flour tortillas, a four pound bag of maseca and lots of cans of chipolte peppers in adobo sauce! I know I'm hot and spicy already, but what's a little extra heat? The front parking lot will look empty, but they have the front door locked with a sign asking you to enter around back where you will find another parking area quite full. My sales slip reads Hatboro, I would consider this Warminster, maybe it's on the line. Thank you La Mexicana for coming to town! Gracias a Dios!

Let me start by saying that I am from California and know what amazing Mexican food is. I recently moved to PA and have been on the hunt for authentic Mexican food. I had a hard time finding La Mexicana but I was in a mission so I eventually found it. I used the address 224 Bristol Pike, Bristol PA. Not the address listed. Once I did that I found it just fine. Onto the review: I called ahead to double check that they were still in business and to see if they had a specific product I was looking for. I immediately was hung up on after asking my question. I tried calling 2 more times and they picked the phone up and hung up without saying a word. I decided I would just drive over there and see if I could find what I was looking for because calling was no help. I decided I would try food while I was there since I had been craving tacos for 5 months. I only tried the carne asada tacos this time as I was in a hurry but the were amazing. Definitely authentic which is what I was looking for. As far as food goes I would give them a 5. Their customer service on the phone leaves a lot to be desired. If there had been another Mexican grocery place within 20 miles of me I probably would have gone there instead just because of that.

La Mexicana is one of those half Mexican grocery half restaurant places. I've been here a couple times now and the food has been pretty delicious. So far I've tried the tacos and tostadas. The staff here is also very friendly. They have a pretty varied menu which will definitely give you a tough time deciding what to have if you've never been. Note: During the winter, they don't offer some of the items on their menu. Come by and check em out! Also, the address doesn't display properly. It is located in a small strip small across from the Golden Eagle Diner.

I been living in Bristol for a year now (moved here from Los Angeles) and for a year I couldn't find a Mexican restaurant to save my life! I was used to being surrounded by them. But at last I found this place and after ordering some tacos de asada and a burrito de asada, I must say it was amazing. Just like home. I will be a regular from here on out. Definitely visit this place if you're in Bristol and are looking for a Mexican food restaurant. P.S love that they are also a mini market with a lot of Mexican product.

The restaurant is in this cute little area with shops, restaurants and bars and is a popular destination because when we were leaving out after finishing our meal the place was jam packed and there was at least an hour wait (but no wait when we came in thankfully). It's important to note that this is NOT authentic Mexican food ... but it was pretty good nonetheless. The margarita flight was cute and gave us the ability to try a few flavors out before committing to a large one. The favorites were the white peach and pineapple margaritas (the other 2 in the flight were the traditional and prickly pear). We ordered the Crab Mexican Street Corn for an appetizer and while it was loaded with crab, it wasn't Mexican Street Corn ... it was seasoned corn with old bay and a few other ingredients topped with crab. I ordered the Steak & Shrimp Combo Fajitas which was a nice portion size (I took 3/4 home) and the flavors were pretty darn tasty, but when you order fajitas you expect the "sizzle" and these didn't have that nor were they have the right temperature ... they were just warm when I wanted and expected them to be hot. The refried beans were yummy despite them not looking too appetizing but the rice was too soft. Service was good overall and pricing was also reasonable. If we're in the neighborhood again and in the mood for margaritas we may just stop back in.

The inside was clean and the bar area I sat at although small was a decent spot to have a drink and grub. The staff was mostly young kids who were very nice. The chips and salsa they offer were boring. The salsas both roja and verde lacked flavor, mostly spice. The chips were fresh, but thick and bland. I think a thinner homemade style would work better. The first bartender I dealt with was great with the menu. She recommended several menu items. I ended up rolling with the Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas at $18 - jumbo lump crab, old bay cream cheese, tiger shrimp, cilantro and lime rice. The lime rice was worthless. It had zero flavor and was dry. The Enchiladas were creamy, but lacked spice and complexity. The tiger shrimp had a delicious grilled, moist flavor and were the best part. My second trip had a newer bartender who was getting her feet wet. She was friendly, but busy familiarizing herself with the bar so I went simple and ordered Birria Tacos - $15 Braised beef, onions, cilantro, lime Oaxaca cheese, consommé. The beef was dry and not tender. The shells were ok. The best part was the lime Oaxaca cheese and the consommé somewhat helped me get the beef down. The portion was very small. Not a good value in my humble opinion. The other patrons were mostly young and enjoying margaritas. I think booze is the draw to this spot. Without it your just getting average Mexican grub. Heck of a location in the Borough, but my visits left me longing for a hot pepper!

I opted for her Fried Tacos, Strawberry Milkshake, Chips y Salsa. They were all terrific. It took a short while for my order to come from the Cocina, but as each arrived they were a sight to behold. First the Milkshake arrived, a beautiful bright pink in a large glass. Freshly blended, it was cool and strawberry delicious. Second, the Chips and Salsa were served in a plastic basket; crispy with brown spice bean sauce on top. I liked this far more than red or green salsa as it offered more rich earthy flavor. Finally, the Four fat Fried Tacos arrived on an oval ceramic plate with small side salad. They were stuffed with ground chicken, cheese and chiles and deep fried to a golden tan. Sure, they burnt my fingers as I picked them up to dip in salsa and chomp down, but it was a good burn that had me licking them for first aid. Just awesome! I sat for a while afterward as Noemy was busy in the kitchen, but we closed out my meal with a reasonable check and discount for cash. She invited me back, and I suspected I would accept her offer. 5 Salvadoran Stars for this most enjoyable experience.

The tortillas were fresh and homemade and the flavor was on point. The verde sauce had a great flavor and had just enough kick to make me know there was some spice. It was covered in lettuce and cheese and specked with diced tomato. The chicken was moist and tasty. The Molé sauce was deep and rich and had excellent flavor. It came with beens and rice. The beans were light colored and not black beens and the rice was standard Mexican rice. Overall it was really good. I will be going back again. They accepted debit cards but also had an ATM in the corner. The only drawback is that they didn't have any menus to give me so I will have to search that up on the inter webs.
