If you dont like the look and skin colors of the intellectual parents you cannot manipulate, surely you couldn't genuinely care for their offspring. Be careful not to leave your children around people so miserable they refuse to provide or heat up food for a 17 month old enrolled at their "school" with a tuition. This is optional childcare before grade school and these are the type of people that make you want to keep your kid home schooled.

I know with these skills he will have an outstanding foundation to grow from. My 1 year old is also greatly benefiting from this environment, at 15 months she has shown me how capable even a toddler can be. She feeds herself independently, can drink from a cup, is working on dressing herself, "helps" me with chores and takes great pride in showing me what she can do. The teachers or "guides" are all wonderful and truly care about your children. I strongly recommend this school to anyone.

Nia, the assistant director, gave me incorrect pricing information not once, but twice. She also told me that the enrollment fee would be waived. Because she had already given me inaccurate information earlier that week, I specifically asked if she was sure, and she confirmed that she was. When I received my first bill, it was a little under $500, which immediately confused me because there was supposed to be a $250 discount applied to the first week. I asked the director, Renee Milton, why the bill was still so high after the discount. She told me it was because the enrollment fee had been added. I explained that Nia had told me the enrollment fee would be waived. Considering the multiple pricing errors beforehand, I felt some type of accommodation should have been made. Nia clearly needs additional training, and the communication between management is poor. Now onto the director, Renee Milton. She was extremely unprofessional throughout my experience there. One morning while dropping my children off, a teacher was running late. Renee said to me and another parent, "If it was up to me, I would get completely new staff." We were both visibly confused. As a parent, that is not something you want to hear from the person running the daycare your children attend. A few days later, I saw my oldest child doing something inappropriate on the camera system, so I called the school to address it and speak with my child. Later that evening, Renee brought up the situation and I mentioned that I like to monitor my child's behavior. She then responded, "You need to watch the cameras for these teachers as well." Again, I found this incredibly unprofessional. Regardless of how management feels about staff internally, those conversations should never be had with parents. The final issue involved my account balance. Earlier that week, I spoke with Renee over the phone and explained that I would pay the balance on Friday. She agreed that it was fine. Then, a day or two later, she messaged me through the parent portal reminding me to pay before drop-off, and I responded confirming that I would. Friday morning, I paid the balance before bringing my children in. While dropping them off, one of the teachers told me, "Renee said you can't drop off your child unless you pay your balance." I was absolutely upset. First, because I had already communicated with Renee multiple times about the payment. Second, because no teacher should have access to or be discussing my personal billing information with me. When I addressed it with Renee, she seemed more concerned about finding out who told me than understanding why the situation was inappropriate in the first place. At that moment, I decided my children would no longer attend this daycare. This was honestly one of the worst daycare experiences I have had. Renee and Nia are the main reason I would never recommend this school. It is hard to feel comfortable leaving your children somewhere when the director openly speaks negatively about staff members to parents. That being said, I do want to acknowledge the teachers who were wonderful to my children. Ms. Smiley was amazing, and honestly one of the main reasons I stayed as long as I did. Ms. Houda (I may be spelling her name incorrectly) was also wonderful with my 4-year-old and treated her with so much kindness and encouragement. Ms. Rochelle was incredibly sweet as well, and I truly believe she cared about my children. Those three teachers deserve recognition because they were the bright spots in an otherwise disappointing experience. The school has potential, but the current leadership is what will continue to hurt it.

The kids looked happy and playful, the teachers were welcoming, and the whole atmosphere just felt right. What I'm most thankful for is what happened a few months after our daughter started. Our family was going through a difficult season, and she developed separation anxiety and became very attached to her favorite blanket. As a mom, it was heartbreaking to leave her during that time. Ms. Nargis and Ms. Teressa were incredibly patient and supportive. They genuinely cared about helping her through that season. They kept me updated, worked closely with me, and gave her the extra reassurance she needed. Knowing she was surrounded by people who understood what she was going through and truly wanted to help meant so much to us. That kind of care is hard to find, and it meant the world to our family. Our daughter has come such a long way in overcoming her separation anxiety. Now she runs into preschool with a huge smile, and one of the sweetest things is seeing her comfort her friends when they're sad to say goodbye to their moms. That just amazes me. Watching her grow in confidence has been such a joy, and we're so thankful to all of the teachers at AAIMS. I also love the curriculum. It's engaging, age-appropriate, and I can see how much she's learning while still having plenty of time to play and just be a kid. We also appreciate the variety of extracurricular activities they offer, which gives the kids opportunities to explore new interests and build confidence. One thing I really respect is the way Ms. Nargis leads AAIMS. I know it isn't easy running a preschool and balancing the needs of so many children, parents, and teachers, but her love and passion for the school are genuine. You can tell she truly wants AAIMS to be the best it can be, and I really admire that. Moving to a new state came with a lot of unknowns, but finding AAIMS has truly been a blessing for our family. We're incredibly thankful for Ms. Nargis and the wonderful teachers who have loved, encouraged, and supported our daughter. Thank you for making her first preschool experience such a positive one. While the tutors are tutoring other kids, you will be just working on your own little worksheet. Tutors are pretty knowledgeable, but some of their personalities are so dull that you will have hard time learning from your mistakes. So after about 6 months, my score only rose up from 1600 to 1850. For the amount of money and time spent, it's worthless to get into top schools. You are much better off going to wyzant.com and finding a private tutor from there. As that's what I decided to do. I dropped SAT and decided to study ACT instead. My score rose from 26 to 31 in less than 3 months.

My husband and I first learned about Kumon from one of his friends, whose child was enrolled in the…read moreprogram. This particular child was excelling far above his peers in both reading and math, and my husband took note of this. Upon doing some research ourselves about the Kumon approach to math and reading enrichment, my husband and I decided to tour a few of the locations nearest our home. Upon first arriving to the Lawrenceville/Collins Hill location, we were greeted by the director, Lubna Momin. Lubna shared a brief history of the program as well as how children naturally progress at their own pace through the various levels. Next, my son was given an initial assessment to evaluate what level he was currently in. This was free, and it took between 30-45 minutes. My husband and I waited for him in the lobby during this time. When my son finished his assessment with Lubna, she came out to the lobby to share the results with us, and shared suggestions on which level he could start on if we decided to move forward. We went home and thought about it for a week or so, as it is a commitment of both time and resources, but ultimately decided that this was a step we felt we should take if we wanted our son to truly be equipped academically for Kindergarten and the years following. Our son has been enrolled in the Lawerenceville/Collins Hill Kumon location since February, and we are so glad we made this decision. He completes 1 reading packet and 1 math packet at home every day, and 2 days a week goes to the Kumon Center for 1 hour to do his work alongside the teachers and his peers. He currently reads at a 1st grade reading level and is successfully working through 2nd grade level math as a Kindergartener! We are so proud of him and truly credit his success to Kumon. My family and I are so very grateful to the staff at this Kumon location, especially the director, Lubna.
