    The Great Pumpkin!
    Holly W.

Friday night they hosted an outdoor viewing of Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin. I thank them for doing this for the community! It was my first time at the farm and I have convinced myself they ran this event for 2 reasons: free publicity and to serve the community. I saw no way for them to make a profit off this event. The store was open but the row of pumpkins for sale they were outdoors and in the dark! Super hard to pick a pumpkin for purchase in the dark! I did not see any people making purchases but what I did want to buy was a drink! I am not sure if they have done this event before but I wasn't sure what to expect. Some people had the right idea of bringing in pizza's and drinks. They could really use a little stand that sold water, juice and chips! They stated the show would continuously run but it wasn't just the great pumpkin showing , it was also followed by another Snoopy show, so it really only ran twice. Keep in mind for planning. The kids loved the hay bail maze under the Christmas lights! Lots of fun. Also, the fire was a nice touch but little too late into the event (around 7:15pm.) Another planful tip: they have a small parking lot so grab a spot once you see cars lined up on the street! Overall I really thank the farm for the event, we had a good time, next year I would plan differently and I hope they do too! 3 stars for doing this for the kids.

This place is shutdown and closed and is now a landscaping business. The listing needs to be updated.

Thank god they clearly mark the entrance otherwise, it is a bit confusing. You kind of walk into a building hallway and then you can't miss the shop on the left. It's definitely a plant lovers oasis. It's a bit overwhelming how many wonderful things they offer. Multiple employees asked if I needed any help which I appreciated. I need to go back in with pictures of my space as I will certainly be taking them up on their offer next time. Also loved that they have the little infused honey coffee/drink spot inside of the plant oasis. Depending on what you are looking for they have small, super reasonably priced plants, and large plants that are going to run you a few hundred dollars. So whether you are looking for a showpiece or a housewarming gift, you'll be able to find it here! (Also loved the Plant Daddy branding!)

On top of that all these beautiful accessories like windows crystals. And then there was a Christmas market happening with vendors. You can get macaroons or a cofee in the jungle! A woman was painting on site and it was beautiful. Also you can buy interesting items like hand cream, jewelry, paintings, etc.... A lot was going on! I can share that the staff were helpful and nice. Prices were reasonable. But I can share with you they don't sell clippings for propagation which is why I went to Jordan's. I walked away with 2 plants and I will propagate myself.

The first came with the…read morehouse, and all he did was mow--the yard, which the original owners had clearly spent a lot to landscape, was a neglected mess. We let him go with winter. After assessing our neighbors' yards, we hired the best landscaper among them--he made us promises and charged accordingly then he abandoned us without even doing the fall cleanup, leaving the yard 3 inches deep in leaves (during wildfire season last fall!), a scraggly mess, all winter. He had the nerve to show up in February saying he'd do it then for the same price. No thanks. But our neighbor across the street--her yard is always immaculate, like a carpet. Let's give Elite a try. We gave them a call and Bryan was quick to respond. We struck a deal, and he performed the "fall" cleanup here in March. It took them almost 3 days to clear the mess out, and I'm sure he took a loss for all the hard work his very pleasant team put in. But the yard looks better than it has looked since we moved in. We have very high hopes for Elite. They seem to *want* to have us as clients which is a nice change from the others who acted like *they* were doing *us* a favor by charging us huge fees for the most basic yard maintenance. It's absolutely clear that our previous landscaper took advantage of my mother. We're from Texas, new to the climate, the foliage and even to taking care of a yard (HOA did it in the old country). We will give you the benefit of the doubt for a little while, but overcharging a widow like the others did is unconscionable. Bryan has been straight with us, treated us with respect, and we have every reason to believe that we'll have a long, productive relationship with his company. Definitely recommend you give them a try.
