We have been going to Attleboro Farms for the past 5 years and were very pleased with the high quality of their plants. That is why we returned year after year, in the spring for our summer plants and again in December for our Xmas decorations. Their prices were reasonable. Xmas of 2020 was a turning point though. All of the greenery we usually purchased for the holidays had tripled and quadrupled in price. We chalked it up to Covid-19 supply issues and decided to go elsewhere. The prices were just insane. We got everything we needed for Xmas somewhere else and were very happy to see normal pricing for mixed greens, wreaths, mantle pieces etc. And, the quality was great. About a week ago, we wanted to give Attleboro Farms another chance and hoped our last experience was an isolated incident. It was not. The nursery had very little stock when we visited and the plants they did have were small, unimpressive, and severely overpriced. We ended up going to Briggs for the first time for summer plants. What a difference! Not only were the plants at Briggs big and beautiful, they were all reasonably priced as well. We spent $125.00 for five very large hanging plants. That price was 30% lower than Attleboro Farms and Attleboro Farms plants were much smaller. Also, they had very few plants to choose from. Briggs had lots of stock and lots of variety. Frankly, if we could have fit more in our car, we would have bought more plants. We will be returning very soon. read more

Friday night they hosted an outdoor viewing of Charlie Brown's The Great Pumpkin. I thank them for doing this for the community! It was my first time at the farm and I have convinced myself they ran this event for 2 reasons: free publicity and to serve the community. I saw no way for them to make a profit off this event. The store was open but the row of pumpkins for sale they were outdoors and in the dark! Super hard to pick a pumpkin for purchase in the dark! I did not see any people making purchases but what I did want to buy was a drink! I am not sure if they have done this event before but I wasn't sure what to expect. Some people had the right idea of bringing in pizza's and drinks. They could really use a little stand that sold water, juice and chips! They stated the show would continuously run but it wasn't just the great pumpkin showing , it was also followed by another Snoopy show, so it really only ran twice. Keep in mind for planning. The kids loved the hay bail maze under the Christmas lights! Lots of fun. Also, the fire was a nice touch but little too late into the event (around 7:15pm.) Another planful tip: they have a small parking lot so grab a spot once you see cars lined up on the street! Overall I really thank the farm for the event, we had a good time, next year I would plan differently and I hope they do too! 3 stars for doing this for the kids. read more

Very disappointed in Attleboro Farms this year. I buy several of the same plant every year for Mother's Day. They looked good in the greenhouse, but quickly failed to thrive. Normally this plant blooms all summer but has failed to bloom. These were gifts and have gone to several different houses. All remain basically flowerless and I am almost embarrassed to have given them as gifts. When I complained to " The manager" , he could have cared less. He offered to sell me some fertilizer. Really? I wouldn't buy another thing from them! They have lost my business for good!!!! read more

They charged me $8.99 for a 4" annual. I said to the teenage worker "wow they are expensive" and he said "yes the perennials add up". So I thought maybe they are perennials. When I got home and read the label,as I was planting it, It was an annual. So the next day I went back with one of the plants to see if they could fix the problem. And the women said oh no he charged you the correct price. So for a 4" annual they charge $8.99. I said "wow they are very pricey don't you think". Her response was "we are having a hard time trying to figure out pricing with the gas prices so high?" She did return the one I brought back. The other was too late for I had planted it. Then I went to Briggs, which they are usually pricey there. But the same plant in a 4" pot was only $5.99. The plant was twice the size and $3 cheeper. As I was telling one of my patients about it. she stated that she had Kris's son do some work at her house. He told her that his dad doesn't know what he's talking about and he would do the job cheeper. Who dose that to their father? Well I will take my business elsewhere and I will let all my patients know what kind of business they run. read more

This farmers market is located at Attleboro Farms, which, from my understanding, is closed for the winter but opens up every Sunday from 10-1 for their indoor market. They do take it outside in the warmer months. This market is fairly small compared to others, but the hours are convenient for those of us on a weird schedule. They are really active on their fb page and update their vendor list every week. Vendors include about 2-3 produce/poultry farms, a dog bakery, vegan treats, organic skin products, barbecue, jams, and many others. I come here about every other week for fresh eggs, spinach, kale, dog treats, and when they are in attendance, Borealis coffee beans. The vendors are super friendly and always send you home with a good recipe or cool factoids. It's best to come early, as some vendors do pack up a little before closing time. read more

I came here today for the Psychic Fair.. I was pleasantly surprised by the good energy in the air. The goats were great pet therapy for me! After being here for several hours my energy was depleted and I felt exhausted. I decided to do a Reiki session with one of the vendors. To my surprise I arose refreshed and rejuvenated! There are plenty of fall decorations and plants as well. This was a great opportunity for me to see what the farm has to offer. The harp player was extremely magical and my mind was instantly transported into another realm. This was a great experience and I am truly blessed to have taken part of this event on such a beautiful day! read more

I have been a customer of this place for 15 years buying mulch, firewood and plants every year. This year I spent over $500 in mulch and they would not sell me the additional 1/2 yard of mulch I needed to finish the job. The woman in charge was dismissive of me when I asked saying the big pile they had sold. I found it elsewhere and that is where I will be going in the future. read more

I purchased $498 of Hemlock mulch from Attleboro Farms in 6/2018 - what a waste! Over the last 20 yrs I have gotten 2 - 3 years out of a similar mulch delivery from other vendors (Osborne or Briggs). 1 year since my purchase from Attleboro Farms, all our beds are filled with clover and weeds, not to mention that the mulch looks 5 years old. I bought a cord of wood a couple months ago, paid a premium for it. When it didn't show up on a scheduled Tuesday, we called on Thursday. They asked us to check around our neighbors to see if they received our delivery by mistake. Not our problem. They came through and delivered it that Thursday evening. Normally they have a clean stack on their paved lot. Apparently they had to scrape up a cord in the woods somewhere. There was so much mud and filth on it we had to brush off 80% of it with a with a broom. We stack some in our somewhat heated garage and the rest outside under a tarp. The wood is now growing mold in our garage. Very difficult to find a dry piece to burn. Very disappointed, we've purchased our wood there for the last few years read more

One mile away and have everything I need to maintain my yard. Everyone is helpful and knowledgeable. Bought two trees and they delivered and planted them. I sometimes look at the plants at Lowes and I'm sure the quality at AFG is far superior. Their lawn services started off great. Pleased with service. As time went on, the crew became sloppy, mowing over small shrubs. Neighbor reported seeing one of the crew wizzing and taking a dump behind my shed. Filed complaint to not have that crew service my lawn. Two weeks later, this request fell on deaf ears. My family and I stopped in here on to pick up our Christmas Tree. All I can say is WOW! What a wonderful business! We were greeted as soon as we got there by a very nice young man. We were allowed to walk around freely and look at tree's and plants - and no one chased us around or harassed us (I hate that and I am SO happy that did not happen here!). We went inside to see the specialty products and a friendly younger woman came over to my children and hat a kitten - she invited us to pet the kitten and was so so sweet and friendly. I really appreciate this - I love when business owners and employees are genuinely pleasant and happy to see customers. Finally we found our perfect tree - but all the trees were perfect so it was not hard! And literally as we were ready to checkout the younger man came over and helped carry the tree, cut it, and wrapped it - then even tied it onto the car. Price? CHEAP! Well well worth the drive! The tree is set up and it smells and looks amazing. I am so so happy with this business - other businesses could learn a thing or two from Attleboro Farm and Garden Supply. This business can count on seeing us again very soon- I would absolutely love to return soon and spend more money! A+++++ read more

Nice place. They have everything you'd expect to find at a nice nursery or garden center. Great shrubs, flowers, vegetables, and what have you. Pretty typical or slightly above average as far as that goes. What makes it great? The farmers market on Sundays from noon to 4:00, year-round. I used to go down to Providence or Pawtucket in search of farmers markets, but right here in my own backyard is a solid little farmers market where you can get pretty much everything you need. Fresh bread, organic veggies, beef, pork, chicken, coffee, etc. It's not as huge as the wintertime market in Hope Artiste Village in Providence by any means, but if you live in this area and want to buy fresh and local, you NEED to check this out! read more

Before I write about my experience I just wanted to mention that I've always been the biggest supporter of family owned businesses and supporting "main st" in general because I believe that's the best way for a community to be economically sound. With that being said, I decided to one star this business because of the disgusting treatment I recieved from one individual. His name is Kris and he's also one of the owners. After being given his number by his wife (who provided excellent customer service), I had asked whether he could provide me with a hardscaping quote at my home. The morning which he was supposed to come down and meet me, he sent me a text, informing me that he was outside. I stepped outside to greet him and right off the bat, I could see a look of what I felt may have been annoyance or even a degree of 'great i'm wasting my time.' What ever it was, it quickly became evident that he just wanted to be on his way, which actually made me feel very uncomfortable. As we toured my yard, Kris was completely silent and I found myself actually being the one asking him whether he had any comments or suggestions for me at all. He only spoke twice. Once when he asked me whether I was aware that after a hardscaping project, I'd have to actually do things like maintenance, and a second time after I mentioned getting a quote for a patio, & him saying that there's no point in getting one because it's not near the entrance to my house. Following both comments, I could only kind of stand there in silence, dumbfounded. I finally broke this silence by asking whether he could take some measurements and just provide me with a quote. He replied saying "sure I'll take some measurements." I went into my house to grab a hat(it was very sunny) and 2 minutes later when I stepped outside again, Kris was gone! Not even so much as a 'we'll get back to you' or anything. I felt embarrassed, confused and saddened that someone could treat another this way especially a potential customer. After mulling everything over & deciding I may have been overthinking everything, I text kris asking whether he was planning on emailing a quote and if not, if he could let me know so I may look for another company. To this he replied, "Thanks but i'm going to pass." Initially I was going to ask why I couldn't have even been provided the courtesy of an explanation as to why, but I decided id rather not know because anyone who would treat someone the way I was, isn't deserving of one's hard earned money.
