We had the best time at my kids Halloween party! He managed to have all 40 kids entertained and engaged. The parents thanked me a million times for having him because they were also able to get a break and enjoy appetizers, drinks, etc. This is not the first time we have had him at our family events and parties. He is always consistent and has new tricks every time. We had kids from 1-9 and they all loved it. He's very communicative and updates me with timing and his plan for the day. We are so grateful for having him at our events and look forward to many more with him! Thank you! Oh he even dressed in costume for the party! read more

Dave came and performed at my son's first birthday entertaining the young kids for a little more than an hour. Let's make this short and sweet. What are you looking for in kids entertainment? Keeps the kids engaged and not bugging the parents during a party would be great. Well, Dave does a great job with transitions switching from magic, activities, and humor. He also had the majority of adults watching because he was so entertaining. Dave is a genuine guy who knows how to work with kids. We highly recommend for any of your kids' entertainment functions. read more

It takes a LOT for me to rate anything or anyone a full 5 stars, but I'm telling you - I would rate Total Kids Entertainment a 5 over and over again! We had a Ninja Turtle themed birthday party for our 4-year old boy, and it is EXTREMELY difficult to get the attention of a group of 4-year olds. However, David came in and managed to get all of them participating in his awesome magic show, fun games, and even dressed up as the Ninja Turtle, Michelangelo (in nearly 90 degree weather in Poway!) so we could get some cool photos. He was energetic, patient, and a ton of fun! If you are looking for entertainment for your kid's party, look no further! This company is surely going to bring a smile to everyone's face, and will make your event special and a step above the rest! UPDATE: (5/21/18) We had Dave come out again this year for my son's Magician themed 5th birthday and he did not disappoint! The kids had an absolute BLAST watching his magic show and enjoyed all of the fun games that followed! Several parents were commenting on how fantastic Dave was at garnering the attention of a group of 5-year olds and were asking for his information for future parties. I really love this company and know I'll be using them for years to come! read more

This is a very long overdue review. I only remembered to write it because my sons 2nd birthday is coming up and they were the entertainment for his 1rst birthday circus party. He was awesome and kept all the kids entertained! It was a relief for all the parents because they were able to relax at the party for 2 hours. They kept asking me where I found him. My neighbor works for kid ventures and wanted his contact info for parties there as well. He managed to keep kids from 1 to 9 entertained. The best was when Elmo showed up! read more

We booked Dave for our son's fifth birthday after seeing him at a couple of birthday parties. Dave was professional, punctual and has great energy. My son, his friends and even the adults had such a blast with Dave's act. He ended the day with balloon art and took the lead with singing the birthday song. Dave even showed the adults a few tricks after the event! I highly recommend Dave. read more

High praise for Dave and his wonderful show. Booked him for my daughter's 7th birthday party with 15 kids at a park. After a quick set-up he immediately engaged with the children and had them under his spell for a full 90+ minutes. My daughter went from "Can't we just get a jumpy" to "Mama, this is the best birthday party ever!!" She especially liked that the kids were active participants instead of just an audience. We even had some extra children from a neighboring birthday party watch the show instead of going in their jumpy. Many compliments from all the parents, I hope to have him entertain again, thank you! read more

We were completely blessed with the presence of Dave the magician & Elmo! Everything was beyond perfect. The magic show was amazing! Everyone was giggling non stop. The kids loved it and we're so entertained. The balloon twisting was a major hit with the kids. Everyone was running around with balloon swords or crazy hats. He made my sons first birthday very memorable. Look forward to coming back to Dave in the future! Thanks Dave for all your amazing work! As well as for your elmo, his energy was amazing and made the atmosphere great! read more

I wish I could add more stars! David was beyond amazing. He arrived on time, and stayed I think even later than he was originally supposed to, just so that he could make sure everyone got attention and was involved. He played games with the kids and they loved it, but he also included the parents in a fun musical game. I can't even put into words how satisfied I was and how much we loved having him at our sons party! All the guests complimented him on his Mickey Mouse character, as everything was spot on! The voice was perfect too. He's great with kids of all ages and I think people in general! Thank you SOOOOO much! I highly recommend him!!!! read more

Dave was absolutely AMAZING. We booked him for our daughter's magic-themed 5th Birthday party at the park and it was a smashing success. Her friends and classmates were talking about the show for days following the party. Dave did an amazing job holding the kids' attention and making them laugh and the surrounding parents enjoyed the show nearly as much as the kids did. I highly recommend booking Dave for your party! You won't be disappointed. read more

A grandparent at our son's fifth birthday said "he's the best kids' magician I've ever seen." Dave is absolutely wonderful to work with and has such a rapport with his audience. Our kids absolutely loved the show and were totally engaged. Plus, he's hilarious! I saw him perform at another friend's party and just had to book him for our son's party. read more

We are SO pleased with Dave! We had the choice of spending our money on a bounce house at a park, having the party at a special location, or having the party at home and hiring an entertainer and my husband and I both agree that we are BEYOND happy with our decision to hire Dave. He took so much stress and burden off our shoulders by keeping the children entertained for the majority of the party. He is wonderful with kids and super patient. He kept things moving so that a group of 4 year olds didn't get bored or antsy. After his show was through, he even helped me gather the crowd to sing happy birthday and wrap up the party with a beautiful bow. He brought his own music and needs no assistance with set-up/ tear down. It was literally a breeze and we were able to enjoy our son's party instead of running around trying to entertain ourselves. Thank you thank you thank you for the work you do! Our son will be talking about you for a LONG time (and trying to use his magic wand in the meantime) ;) read more

I booked TKE for our son's 4th birthday party because he wanted Super Mario to come. Dave came and did face painting and balloon twisting and then Mario showed up. The kids went CRAZY and followed Mario around everywhere and everyone was really impressed with the costume. My son and his friends had so much fun with Mario, they asked if Mario was coming back later at night to play some more. Dave was professional, nice and easy to talk to. I would definately use TKE again. read more

Dave the Magician is truly a professional. I discovered him on YELP and booked him literally the same day we spoke. He was helpful in planning the location. On June 2nd 2018 he arrived at the party prepared to entertain about 40 kids. He was outstanding. I booked him for 1.5 hours, his rate was $225 not including tip. I was worried that the kids would mob him... and they did. But he was truly a professional and all were happy. Parents were taking pictures and everyone had smiles. I felt very good about hiring him. Do not hesitate. He's the one. read more

Dave is totally amazing. He had ALL the kids attention from ages 2 to 14 including all the adults. The magic show was incredible and his balloon creations captivated everyone. Will definitely be calling him again read more

I hired Dave for my son's 6th birthday party, let me tell ya, all the kids had fun! We had 45 kids at the party and everyone was engaged and was focused. Days after the party, the kids are still talking about him. It was the highlight of the party! They never wanted him to leave!..I highly recommend getting Dave as an entertainer. His price was the best also among other competitors, for what he was offering. I would definitely hire him again for my kids' parties! read more

Dave was busy, but has a lady he works with that showed up as Pockets the Clown. She showed up to our son's 5th birthday party at a park on time, kept the kids busy with a parachute game, then face painting and a magic show. The kids loved her and I got compliments from the other parents. I would recommend her to anyone with kids around this age. read more

We had a party for my 5yo girl and Dave was really awesome with the kids. He had just come from another party and I know it's tiring to have to entertain kids, and he still had high energy to do his magic tricks and jokes for our party. Booking was easy, he replied to any questions quickly, and he came on time and did his thing. He did a magic show, had a dance party and made balloons at the end. He led the birthday cake singing and he had a little gift for the birthday girl. Highly recommend to anyone having a kids party. The age range for our party was 3-8 years old and everyone enjoyed, even the parents!! Thank you again for a memorable party Dave!! read more

Dave at Total Kids Entertainment performed as part of a Star Wars theme for our 5 year old. He was entertaining, fun and kept the group of 30 plus kids in splits! Dressed as a Jedi, Dave harnessed all their energy and attention into magic, games, music and more. He adapted the Star Wars theme into the performance which made it awesome. Dave was responsive and professional. He is very talented and kids love him. read more

Had a pizzazer party for 3 year old kids with a character arrival. The character was okay, kids really enjoyed it. The clown totally did not meet expectations. Could not read the kids and get their attention. Did not feel like the proclaimed professional. Very high price to pay for such a lousy entertainment. read more

Fabulous! Dave just preformed for my daughter's 5th birthday party and he was fantastic! He kept all the kids entertained for well over an hour! I had a separate art place set up in case kids wandered, but nope, Dave had their full attention. I highly recommend Dave and he's a nice guy to work with. I really appreciated his helpful tips he sends out before the party, it made my life easier. Thanks for the great birthday Dave! read more

Thank you Total Kids Entertainment for sending my nephew's 1st birthday & guests an "entertainer" who is mute and could barely grab the kids' attention. We had a mic available for use yet she does not take advantage of it. Help us help you...cuz she Obviously... OBVIOUSLY needed one. We were sent a "newbie" for a discount of $25...LOL!! Please hire someone who actually loves their job and has many tricks up their sleeves. What I read from the website's package options was not what I had expected it to be during its Live prformance. Was the show just creating regular sword & flower balloons? Dang!!! Make a couple of animal balloons at least just to make the children SUPER happy....Damn you. Give me a day in advanced and I can learn all( Possibly MORE ) of what she did with the help of Youtube and Google. THANKS YOUTUBE & GOOGLE !!! So not worth $180 ( not including the large tip ) Maybe $10 worth ...for the trip and showing up ...I guess ?? Rest In Peace $$$. My gas tank would love you more. Baibai. read more

I would highly recommend this company for a kid's party! Dave did our party for approximately 20 kids mostly 6 and under. The kids did not leave his side and were entertained with everything that he did. We chose the magic, games, and balloon twisting for the party. He played kid friendly music for the entire 90 minutes, and his minion costume was a huge hit with the kids as well. It was pretty authentic looking and there was even a random parent and kid (not from our party) trying to snap photos with him as he was leaving. Dave was very professional, on time, and receptive to all calls and questions that I had prior to and during the party. I would definitely hire him again. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars!!!!!!!! Dave came to our son's bday party 2 years ago, and we were beyond pleased, therefore we called him to do another party. He is very organized and follows up prior to the day of the party. He confirms everything and makes sure his customers are on board with everything. He is punctual and very talented. He's done balloon animals, face painting, magic, as well as games, with the children. He doesn't watch the clock, and takes his time. I can't say enough positive things about Dave, and his business. This is one of the best kids entertainment companies i have used ! From the first phone call with Dave to the day of our party everything was so smooth! We booked the pizzazer package for 1 1/2 hrs. The kids really enjoyed her and the best part about it was she was very accommodating with our event. We had to pull the kids away to eat lunch and she waited for 20 mins for them to finish eating and didn't ask for extra money since she stayed over the hour and a half. What great service ! They are highly recommended to anyone !! read more
