We had Riley for my son's 8th birthday party and he was beyond amazing!! He arrived early to set up, was very polite and easy to communicate with. The show was fantastic! ASTOUNDING! This word was tossed during the show and perfectly sums up how I would describe Riley! I 100% recommend booking him for any event you have coming up! We booked Riley for my sister-in-law's bridal shower and he went above & beyond expectations! From communicating with him from inquiry, to booking, to the day of, Riley made sure everything went smoothly! Now to the show, even though I had seen some of his videos I was still very intrigued to the show and have zero idea how the majority of the tricks were done! The guests and the bride-to-be talked about how much they enjoyed the show waaay after he left. A message I received from the bride-to-be days after the show: "still wondering how he transferred my initial over to my hand from his and the permanent marker lasted almost 2 full days lol". I love magic. He's a magician. He can make magic. I had some money. With just these ingredients, you too can book a stellar magic performance from this charismatic fellow. I'll tell a small anecdotal tale of my experience now. Setting: My Backyard, dressed as a graduation for my sister-in-law, stunning. June 1st of the 2024th year. The feeling electric with anticipation for the phantasm or illusory, could also have been some alcohol. So there I was, in my small studio mansion where I was ensuring that everyone stayed out of my mansion - that was for VIP only. *Knock & clatter - I turn in shock* My sister-in-law there with a childlike grin and a glint in her eye that suggested Santa Claus is real, she alerted me that this prestigious guest had arrived - Magic is here. I headed outside and there he was. Me looking like 20 buckaroos, him like a million. He only needed a small portion of the mansion to setup his briefcase of wonders, so I showed him to his quarters. He was Riley, he is him. While I was busy wisping around doing only the lords work(Alcohol), he was blending in like a panther stalking wild hogs, dressed to kill! They didn't know what hit them! Before you know it, all I hear is good call on the magician and wow how did he do that?! In fact, while you simply think you're talking to him... You're wrapped in his spiderlike thaumaturgy, yet another illusion and your kitten like mind didn't even know it until it's too late.... You're enamored begging for just one more trick! Be warned, if you seek the magic, Riley will be there... Waiting. None are ready for his book of spells and harrowing arcane that will stagger and astonish your minds, because you aren't magic. He is magic, He is Riley, He is him. 10/10 would hire again - reasonably priced and wonderful performance. To say his performance is great is underselling it. read more

Our family went in summer 2018, 2019, and 2022. The gentleman next to us had sat in every type of seat in the house, and he confirmed that each seat has a good view. For a seat on the stage floor, there are cushions, but you must be comfortable sitting on the floor for about 50 min at a time. Most seats are comfortable. Some seats use bar-stool type seating that may cut into your thighs a bit. On a clear night, enjoy the moon and stars from the top level! One time, there was some aircraft noise from the airport, but that was unusual. Tickets. We did not see any at-the-door sales; all sales were in advance. When you buy on the website, the Barclay will email you good directions two days before the performance. The e-ticket says "print this ticket" but it is OK to just show it on your phone. From home. Bring an extra layer of clothing because summer nights can be relatively cool and breezy at any level in the theater. Some people may like to bring a seat cushion. Park in the UCI Student Center Parking Structure for $13, through 11:59 pm the day of the performance. Arrive about 7:20 to give yourself plenty of time to stroll to the theater. Signage is good. The location on Apple Maps is not correct and Google Maps does not give a location; hopefully that will change. At intermission, restrooms are signposted, a minute's walk from the theater in the adjacent UCI Library building. M&Ms or Gummi Bears cost $1; paper cups of water are free. We even could place advance orders for drinks for intermission, which allowed us to take the time to snap photos at the varying Harry Potter themed areas and hit up the merchandise booth. The performance itself was incredible, the production value was beyond what I've seen in many older theatres, so consider me a fan of something new. You do have to be prepared for a very interesting bathroom line experience, everyone is shuffled into a big line that isn't super clear, but it goes quick.

You can also get the close caption CaptiView device from the service desk if you need subtitles. Its a device that sits in the cupholder that has closed captions or audio descriptions. Its great for those friends/parents where English isn't a first language so they can read the dialogue since accents are hard to understand for them. The seats are comfortable with fully recliners in all auditoriums and heat/cooling recliners in some of them. The restrooms are always super clean and the snack bar is on point too with fresh popcorn always. The best deals are the Tue/Wed 50% off nights for matinee showing too for those without AList! Saw Riley first on an underground local access cable t.v. show called Kung Fu Theater. He did some tricks for a college girl, then a hippie. Hilarious stuff. He isn't one of those old time goofy magicians. More like Chris Angel only Riley's magic tricks are real. No camera shots or fake actors. We found him online for a birthday party for the office. The workers and their kids all loved the show. Plus he was very professional, on time, and reasonably priced. He's really funny and not the old fashioned geeky kind of magician. Like down to earth and a cool guy. How he makes the card from his deck jump into the ladies bra region is beyond me.
