I have been a patient at this practice for over 20 years, and I have always trusted and respected…read moreDr. Leong. She is knowledgeable, professional, and someone I have felt confident following medically. However, over the last couple of years, my annual appointments have consistently been with a physician assistant rather than with Dr. Leong. Unfortunately, my experiences with this provider have been disappointing. I have felt talked over during visits, not fully listened to, and at times treated as though my concerns were an inconvenience. I raised these concerns previously and was told I would not have to see this provider again, yet at my most recent visit I was scheduled with her again. The most concerning experience occurred when I became extremely ill. My wife called the office to request medication for nausea and was told that if we did not hear back, we should check the pharmacy. There was no follow-up call and no prescription sent. For a patient of more than two decades, that lack of communication and care felt dismissive and unacceptable. I still have respect for Dr. Leong, but the overall patient experience has declined. Long-term patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and cared for -- especially when acutely ill. I hope the practice and anyone thinking of joining takes this feedback seriously.

I saw him yesterday and he takes the time to cover why you are there, explains the treatments, and then the new medication he prescribe. The process from checking in to recovery was quick and seamless. I would definitely recommend this place if you need any type of minor procedure done.

This Outpatient Surgery Center celebrated it's one year anniversary January of this year so they are quite "new". They are located right beside the original One Nineteen Wellness Center which houses physician groups on the top floors while the bottom floor is a complete gym with swimming pool. In fact, they even share the same parking lot. This outpatient surgery center can be compared to the "North Tower" which is located on the campus of the original St. Vincent's Hospital in downtown Birmingham. While the North Tower is larger and more established, it is also older and much busier. This new outpatient center has four state of the art operating rooms and 9 recovery bays. Equipped with the latest technology, they provide a wide range of same-day procedures but they specialize in spinal and GI. A year ago my Mother-in-law had to undergo her first epidural and she went to the the North Tower. Her 2nd epidural was also there but her next one and her most recent was here at this outpatient center. What a stark difference! Parking was ample. Accessibility, ambience, front desk staff, nurses... all professional, amazing, kind and friendly! I'm not necessarily implying that the staff at the North Tower are any less dedicated, but from a patient point of view, the experience is much more "pleasant" at this location. Their spotless lobby has a big tv to keep you entertained if you're waiting for a loved one who is having a procedure and they even have a small room off to the side where they have a Keurig type coffee maker for free coffee. I suspect that as word of this facility grows and more physicians gain access, it will become more popular, but for now if you are planning to have a same day surgical procedure, inquire if your surgeon has privileges here at this outpatient center. It would be worth a drive.

Robertson, Well actually his nurse practitioner and she gave me the wrong diagnosis. This doctor really listens to you and he doesn't seem rushed. He knew it was related to my acid reflux even though that is not his specialty. He told me what medication to take and what to expect along down the road. When I go to this practice I never have to wait more than five minutes! And they took my temperature they are very careful. The receptionists are pleasant as well.

I tried Everything they asked to stop it. I actually had a NP with me..My daughte finally put me in the car to drive me back to the surgery center. They had all left early because it was Friday. So she went to the office. The lady was Absolutely No Help. She said she would call him and to just wait for Dr Sillers to call me . He had also told me he'd call me later to check on me. I had already bled through 5 towels at that point. My daughter finally took me to the ER. I bled through 2 more towels there while I was waiting to be seen. After we were able to get in touch with someone from SV Hospital, Dr Sillers's partner finally called me because Dr Sillers had left town. So his partner calls as I'm being wheeled in a wheelchair to a bed, and agrees to see me in the office. So we leave the ER. However, he was unable to stop the bleeding so he ended up just packing it. My nose was ruined at this point... The packing made my nose heel crooked. I ve had to have a 2nd surgery to fix what he ruined. I obviously never went back and never will.
