There were a number of things wrong here. It claims to be a Tapas restaurant. However, the Tapas items are all what I would call traditional appetizer options, no mains geared toward tasting. Also, the main that I ordered, Mar y Tierra, surf and turf, had the flattest segment of flank steak I've ever eaten. It was more like a paper thin steak you would use to make a steak sandwich. The shrimp were done nicely, and the white rice was very good. It was certainly not worth $28. And lastly, though I cannot accuse them, it was very coincidental that I pad with credit card, and the very next day my cc number and info was used to order flights and airline tickets and hotels at Agoda.com, Priceline, United Airlines, etc., to the tune of almost $1K. Luckily I have alerts set up on my card and was able to report the fraud quickly. If going here, I would say pay with cash. read more

Went with my wife and another couple on a Saturday nite. Was greeted and seated quickly. Service was attentive without being smothering. Craft cocktails are featured and everyone in our group ordered one and all of us liked them. Music was a little loud as space is small. The TV had a music video channel on. If you're looking for a quiet place this may not be your first choice but it was fine for us (good food and drink makes everything tolerable). Will definitely go back. read more

We came to Nashua to visit family and came here for the margarita flight. Thye had some wonderful tapas including: Patatas Bravas Arepa de Choclo--not the normal arepas you order where they are a pocket. It was more of a cake. Still tasty though Empanadas--we ordered both beef and chicken Mofongo D Chicharron The Margarita flight was fun and yummy! The only dish I didnt like was the meatballs. This spot is a crowded, but the vibes are solid. Cute decor, reggaeton music videos playing behind the bar, effort put into plating. My empanadas were delicious, and I quite enjoyed the tostones and mofongo my friends ordered, but they were put off by the dryness. If you're new to puerto rican food, I'd suggest sticking to dishes that are less plantain heavy, it can be an acquired taste. read more

Solid tapas! Chicharones ceviche was novel. Noticeably missing cheese and charcuterie but otherwise typical fare was on the menu. Great cocktails. Friendly service. Sexy ambiance. Fantastic paella, not overdone or dried out with generous seafood, rich and buttery... my favorite of the night! At least until I had the flan. So good! I wanted this place to be great so badly, I had heard mixed reviews and decided to give it a shot. We got there at 7:30 PM, and it took 25 minutes before anyone came to get our drink/food orders. At that time, they told us the kitchen closed at 8:00, so we would have to order then. We ordered immediately... it took 30 minutes for our drinks to come and about an hour and 10 minutes for our food to start coming out. The first thing came out without silverware (not finger food) and it took roughly 10 minutes for us to get silverware. All of the food was bland, arrived at room temperature and tasted like it had been sitting out all day despite the wait. Service was really nice, hence the 2 stars. We each got 2 drinks and a few tapas and our total was $100.00. Overall, would not recommend, especially for the price. If you're going to give it a shot, I'd recommend trying it at an earlier hour. read more

If I were to take a friend out to dinner who has never tried tapas before Tostao's would be my first choice hands down. I've been here 5+ times and my experiences have always been great. The waitstaff are amicable and more than happy to explain in detail any menu item you wish to know more about. They are also able to accommodate your needs (allergies, etc.) to the best of their ability (my partner was able to have a virgin guava mojito!) Every dish is crafted with care and expertise, you can tell even before you take a bite! Tostao's exceeds my expectations with each of their creations that I try and I am already anticipating my next visit. Excellent! The wife and I are always on the hunt for a new restaurant, new experience, and new places for date night. This place is charming, clean, elegant but not overly posh. You really can feel an instant connection to the atmosphere and employees. Moving on to the food, I was thoroughly impressed. Having a culinary background, I was honestly impressed with the food quality. We had a few different appetizers to include the potatoes skins and Buffalo chicken. The flavor, texture, and quality were great to include being fast on delivery. Lastly, a shout out to the staff and owners! We will be back! The food was delicious, and the waiter was working his butt off. It was so busy, and he was working the bar and the whole restaurant by himself. He was phenomenal. But the empanadas were amazing. We had all three kinds. Our favorites were the beef and cheese. The arepas were great. The sweet corn and cheese really worked well together. SO GOOD!!! Starting coming here way more than we meant to! We love it, great atmosphere, great family, great food. We've always had a great time, everyone is so personable Jere & Josie were so great when it came to recommendations and explaining things & we're on top of things. We loved Natalia too and learning the history of the place/ family and food. It really made it all the more better and worthwhile to come. & Marco makes a bomb cocktail... seriously BEST old fashion & Manhattan I've had in a while. You do wait a little bit for the food ... but that's because it's all FRESH and made from scratch- which is amazing and not done at so many places !! So sure you may have to wait a bit- but it's totally with it & honestly we really don't notice it. So far we've always had a great time & left so satisfied....and Even if you're full.... Paid a visit shortly after opening on a Saturday. The hostess/server/bartender is very nice and friendly. The food was great, especially the "fried cheese" appetizer (was a nice surprise, I was expecting a common breaded fried cheese, and this was so much better). My entree did take about 30 minutes to arrive, and was to be expected with my order (if my paella had arrived at my table in 10 months or less I probably would have been concerned). I will have to make a few trips back to check out more of the menu. read more

There are glimmers of authentic Spanish tapas but it's more like a small plates/family style kind of place. The menu is pretty interesting, the food is very good and the drink menu is awesome (get sangria!). What makes this place 5 stars in my book is the service. I give this place a pass in the slow service. They are relatively new, and it is, after all, tapas. Isn't this the way to to Spanish. Slow, leisurely, with no where to go in a hurry? The food menu had a little bit of everything and the buffalo dip was a perfect snack, especially when paired with one of Lauren's Old Fashioned's. She recommended a Coconut Mojito after and I'm glad I listened to her. Outstanding service and drinks and I felt at home and far away from Main St. in this little hidden gem. At the beginning, customer service was TERRIBLE. We waited over 15 minutes just for our waiter to come over, he took our drink order. Then another 10 mins for 1 drink, a few more minutes for 2 more drinks (one of which was made incorrectly), and our 4th drink was forgotten completely. We spoke to the owner who brought the 4th drink after another 5 minutes. Another 10 mins passed and we were finally able to put in our food order. We were all very frustrated with the lack of attention. However, they turned it around with the quality of the food. The food did take a long time and came out VERY slowly, but when it arrived it was absolutely delicious. Personally, I feel the food was overpriced. I believe the lack of experience is the reason the service was slow, but to see them all standing around not doing anything while we waited, was very frustrating.
