Good bedside manner, very professional, and VERY thorough. The entire experience ran like a Swiss watch. I get regular text reminders re my appointment and each made clear the costs of no shows, so the complainer below is off base. I was seen 5 minutes after arriving. I was supposed to return yesterday for a TB test for a med, forgot it, and got a prompt call today reminding me to come in. My blood tests were disclosed to me with a phone call the day after my appointment. I will now be like gum on their shoes!!

I must say that the folks that make appointments and answer the phones have always been rude and condescending. This is obviously a result of the culture, and actually goes back quite a few years. Today I called with a legitimate question regarding a blood test for the Covid antibodies. Rather than nicely telling me that this is not something they're doing at this point in time, the person spoke in a typical (for this organization) snarky tone, acting as if this was a ridiculous notion, to get a test for this. She was quite rude. It's frustrating, and if not for the physician relationships we would've been gone years ago. I called them to ask a question and could literally not get through to a nurse or the doctor after trying for MULTIPLE times over a THREE week period. One call lasted for 40 minutes as I was passed from person to person who could not provide the answer I needed. The doctor or nurses never called me back. Ever. I ended up getting the wrong test. This place is awful. I would honestly go somewhere else. Anywhere else.

She's thorough, and you really feel like she's ruling things out as she asks you questions. You really can't ask for more from a GP. Facility is always clean, and the wait is typically minimal. The longest that I think I've waited is 15 minutes in the lobby. Once you're a patient, appointments are fairly easy to secure. Most times I can get in same-day. Note that Dr. Taylor doesn't work 5 days/week (I believe she is off on Thursday, but there is another doctor in the practice).

The waiting time in the office is minimal. They offer something unusual, which is a kind of faith based medicine, but they don't push it on you if you are not comfortable with that (you would need to ask for it). They have been updating their workflow and modernizing their records to become more electronic, and that's been a good thing. I also enjoy the flexibility now that they have 2 offices, one is close to home, the other to work. I have used them for my entire family, but also now as an individual patient, and they excel at both.

Firstly,…read morescheduling a simple annual physical took several months with three reschedules within two days of each appointment. As a male in his early 30s who had gone a few years without seeing a doctor I wanted a comprehensive physical and simple blood screen. Once I finally had the appointment I waited about 30 minutes before Dr. Prashan saw me. He was accompanied by two interns (or scribes? he did not acknowledge who they were). He asked a couple of rudimentary and common health questions before my family history came up. Upon hearing about my father's high cholesterol, he began pushing for a CAT scan heart study and upon being asked if insurance would cover it he recommended paying cash. This was without any information about my own cholesterol levels or health history. After I insisted I would not participate in the study he mentioned that if my cholesterol did come back high (it didn't) he'd recommend being placed on medication (I'm 30, diet and exercise could be an option). I mentioned that I would like a blood test and he said that he always recommends that anyways. Afterwards, he checked my lungs and heart hurriedly and asked the nurse to take my blood test. With that, my appointment was over in about 20 minutes time. My blood tests came back about two or so days later with a nurse saying "Dr. Prashan says your bloodwork looks great." I did not receive any other examination; cholesterol aside, no mention of any other potential health risks; no explanation for test results, some of which were listed as below average/out of the range. I will not be returning to Genesis Medical as the level of care was below what I think the time waiting was worth. I was billed substantially for the blood testing. I also found out a coworker of mine also has Genesis Medical as their primary care clinic and has had a similar poor experience (though not with Dr. Prashan).
