The burritos we order were some of the best burritos we have ever had. I ordered the Bistec a la Mexicana burrito and my husband ordered the Chimichanga Burrito. We recently moved into the area and were having a hard time finding a really good Mexican restaurant until we tried Tortilla Flatz today. We were really impressed by the service and the quality of the food. We will be returning again soon :)

Food was very tasty. Had the chorizo, bean and cheese dip along with the steak, rice and beans entree. Margaritas were perfect. Had the mango & pineapple versions are really enjoyed them. Flan was good but more along the line if a cheesecake. Still very good though. Service was wonderful and the way the decor was set up made warm and inviting atmosphere. Great first experience!

Updated review. The renovation of the restaurant is classy/sophisticated/comfortable and a great place for an intimate dinner. It remains a family friendly restaurant however with traditional menu offerings and generous portions. There is a new small plate menu/tapas style for those that love to share tasty bites on date night or girls night out. If you read bad reviews about this place it's due to those that have unrealistic expectations. This is not Taco Bell and not your Famous Burrito. It has Spanish (Spain) roots and a fusion flair in the different flavors offered. My last time there, they had a new Gentleman 's Old Fashioned that was tasty and smooth. I could've had 5 if it wasn't a week night. --- This place is clean and friendly with good service. The authentic aspects of their menu make TFMG more than a run of the mill Mexican restaurant. In fact, everything they do is above and beyond. I come here about once a week now. Tasty chicken pozole, Spanish salsa, and many plates are made fresh and from scratch. The shrimp tacos and tilapia tacos have a very yummy sauce and in general, they have big portions always leaving me with something to take home. THEY SERVE BEER, MARGARITAS/HAND-CRAFTED COCKTAILS and have the best SANGRIA that I've ever had! The white Sangria is better than most others and they have the unique strawberry sangria available. There is also a good vegetarian selection. Desserts include the traditional flan, fried ice cream and churros but also the non-traditional lemon ice cake. Go with your friends and family and have a good time!

If this place were better or worse I might have remembered it. But I just don't. I guess it was ok.

Fantastic salad dressing! Typically I just use salsa on a taco salad but their dressing was great.

I decided to order over the phone considering I didn't really want shrimp, but that was the only combination they had. Over the phone I ordered just a chicken and steak fajita and queso pico chorizo. Imagine my surprise that the total jumped up to $48! I asked them to honor the price on Uber Eats since this is what was posted. They first told me the prices were wrong on Uber Eats and the system prices were correct the $48. After explaining the differences in price versus what I ordered and the Uber Eats price they told me they would honor the Uber Eats price. When I came up to the restaurant to pick up my food they gave me the total $38.49. When I asked about them honoring the price like they said initially. I was told that the manager or owner said to only take a few dollars off and charge me full price for the queso. I didn't have it in me to go back and forth with these people any longer, so I canceled the entire order and went to another Mexican restaurant. It's unfortunate they didn't have great customer service and they didn't handled this situation properly. This cost me time and money. I also have a screenshot of the price that I was quoted with the shrimp. If you look now the Uber Eats store is closed so they can update pricing. Terrible experience.

From workers to celebrating families. They just got a new menu and prices of course have gone up but that's understandable. What I'm taking issue with is that the owners need to embrace that this place is a "mom" restaurant that's got a homey feel. They added another screen advertising drinks, etc that are too big and obtrusive for behind the counter. Bring the tone down. Instead of spending money on electric signs, spend your decorating dollars on making the place cozy so pictures in Yelp look more inviting. We had birria burrito and carne asada with a large guacamole and horchata. Everything was great as always. Normally we get their margaritas which are also very good.

Long story short, our order was repeated back correctly, yet we still ended up with a missing salsa and an incorrectly made burrito. Mistakes happen. Every restaurant gets an order wrong from time to time. The problem wasn't the mistake. It was how such a small issue was handled. Their reaction honestly took me aback. We weren't asking for a free meal or trying to take advantage of the situation. We simply called to ask for a credit for the missing salsa, which was about $2. That should have been the end of the conversation. While I was on the phone, we opened the rest of the order and realized the burrito had also been made incorrectly. Instead of listening, the employee repeatedly insisted it had been made correctly without even seeing it. Then another employee got on the phone and, in a very aggressive tone, told us that if we wanted a refund, we had one hour to bring the food back or we wouldn't receive anything. We didn't want a full refund. We simply wanted the missing salsa and for the burrito to be made correctly. A sincere apology, a $2 credit, and an offer to remake the burrito would have completely changed the experience. Instead, a minor issue was escalated into an unnecessary confrontation. I even spoke to the staff in Spanish, so this wasn't a language barrier or a misunderstanding. The issue was the attitude and the complete lack of professionalism in handling a simple customer service situation. Wanting to understand whether this was just one employee or reflected the culture of the business, I called another location and asked if I could speak with a manager or owner. I was told they don't give out names because they receive death threats. Whether that's true or not, that's an incredibly strange thing to tell a customer. It naturally makes you wonder how previous customer complaints have been handled if that's the response employees are instructed to give. As a fellow Latin American, I genuinely want to support Latino-owned businesses. That's why this experience was so disappointing. Success isn't just about serving great food or opening multiple locations. It's also about treating customers with respect, accepting feedback, and knowing how to resolve small problems without becoming defensive. More than anything, I was embarrassed for them. This entire situation could have been resolved in two minutes. Instead, they chose confrontation over customer service. The food is good, but it isn't good enough to make me overlook how we were treated. Customer service matters just as much as the food, and unfortunately, that's where this restaurant fell short.

When getting in to pickup the food and after giving the name the order was in. A young lady in black (hostess in training maybe?) immediately went to get the food. The "cashier/hostess" took my card and inserted the chip, then immediately swiped the card and without missing a beat says abruptly "You need to give me another card!" And said it so nasty. I then asked if it was an issue with the chip? She then turned the card over to type in the number so fast.... Now mind you, I have in Permanent Marker on the back of the card "Ask for I.D." But she again says loud and Nasty "You need to give me another card!" "Our reader can't take this card!" All the while trying to look in my wallet. I told her the card I handed her IS the card I am using! I took the card and as I wiped the chip area with my hand; I also told her I just used the card earlier and to try it again. This time the card reader that she'd said wouldn't accept my card began printing...I asked "Did it go through?" She asked if it was the same card and I verified it was the same card. While signing the receipt I asked for the name of the manager. She immediately picked up the phone to take an order. I looked at the other young lady and she said she was new there. (How do you work at a place...new or seasoned employee and Not know who the manager is?) I took my copy of the receipt and walked toward the kitchen and asked the gentleman for the manager. One of the servers went in the kitchen to bring the manager out. I explained the issue to the manager and the other employees in the immediate area. I told him that her customer service skills are horrible and that she should Not be at the door since she does not need to "communicate " with their customers. I also told the manager I was going to post this Yelp Review. Don't turn customers into non customers! Customer Service Ambiance Extremely POOR Food very tasty as usual Customer Service Extremely POOR! Most customers base their experience on the customer service experience as well as the food. Having/keeping her at the door just May turn people away from going in to dine or return. If I could have gotten her name...I would definitely post it!
