I have tried every item on the menu (which was recently expanded) and must say that I have never been disappointed. Savora is a bit more pricey than the typical street food in Mexico but it is very reasonably priced. Service is always friendly and attentive. The sandwiches are always the main attraction (I suggest the rib eye or filet, but they are all very very good); but the salads, steaks and pasta offerings are also top notch. Essentially, this is a more casual version of the excellent cuisine my Argentine friend brought to ward off any pangs of homesickness. In the heart of Guadalajara, one can find food with a hint of the Pampas. If you are ever in Guadalajara, I highly recommend that you stop in and enjoy a cold beer and a delicious meal at Savora.

Cocktail served cold with crushed ice and small chunks of passion fruit. Loved it. Cost between $6-7 for both. Empanada de carne served hot, just the right size for one person, although good for two if you don't want to get full of an appetizer. Penne de bolognese was good. Nothing outstanding but delicious enough. Total: $195 pesos = $17-18 dollars. Left a $2-3 tip.

I especially loved our mojitos which had a ton of fresh fruit garnishes and ingredients. The octopus and fried chicharron taco was probably my favorite taco ever. So tasty, handmade blue corn tortilla and the chicharrones added pops of fat. The tuna sashimi dish was also excellent. I got the aguachiles tostad which was sizable and fresh though my mouth was on fire by the end. Highly recommend.

Amazing tortas ahogadas!…read more These are real tapatio food, and the variety makes it a great choice for everyone, they also have Tacos dorados for vegetarians and all kinds of audiences (having them without meat is a sin I believe, but it's just a personal perspective). they serve ahogadas with pork or shrimp, full or half size, spicy (very) or mild sauce... they have it all in terms of flavor, offer and authenticity. Now... logistics, the work flow is set in a weird way, feels like you're in a Kermesse or County fair, you have to pay in advance and then you'll get tickets or vouchers that you'll need to exchange for the food and drinks you just purchased. you'll find yourself walking from booth to booth gathering your meal in pieces to end up sitting at some not very group friendly communal stool bar. Anyway, taste gets the place 5 stars from my standpoint. Tacos Dorados con buche is a MUST!
