I'm always satisfied with the portions, flavor, presentation, service....pretty much everything. The ONLY item not served with the birria is CILANTRO!! I knooooowww!!! I LOVE cilantro with mostly all my Mexican food. They don't use it therefore, they don't have it available. :( :( :( I will have to remember to bring my own next time. I gotta have my herb. :). (heehee) Ambience: Large seating area indoors and outdoors. Typical Mexican decor - so pretty, comfy and inviting. Service: Awesome, but can slow down as the place gets busier. Order a beer in the meantime. :) Food: ... AWESOME!!! Meat is so tender and the broth is deliciously flavored! The refried beans are so addictive. YOU WILL ENJOY THIS DELICIOUS CUISINE. Fresh salsas, tender juicy fall apart birria, savory consomé, fresh homemade tortillas...we were in heaven! I ordered and you get a plain torta then there's a station where you add beans different levels of salsa. We got strawberries horchata that was very good. Highly recommend for 3 people in America dollars was $19 total and we all got drinks. Overall we had a great experience.

I had very high expectations of the dish in general, and Torats Tono did not disappoint at all. I was confused at first because I didn't know how to order or the system. You first say you want a torta with or without meat. After you pay, you go down the line and pick your meats. I was able to pick 2 meats, half & half, so I got carnitas & lengua. The salsa bar was self serve so you can put as many onions as you and pick your sauce: spicy or slightly sweet. I had both salsas. The spicy one is really hot, but really good! I wouldn't have minded if we came back here during our trip!

The menu is large and admittedly a little overwhelming. I ordered one of the special tacos, a standard fish taco, a tostada de pescado, and a jericalla for dessert. It was way too much food lol. In hindsight I would have done one taco + ceviche. Everything was fabulous and I loved the salsa bar with sooo many options, veg, etc. The environment is very lively and there was a band playing music. Plenty of seating so while busy, you won't have trouble finding a spot. Will absolutely be back!

This place has a cool and festive atmosphere. The staff is attentive and the crowds were plentiful. The prices were very reasonable and a good lunch option. We sat outside and ordered limeades, fish tacos, shrimp tacos and a mixed seafood tostadas. The tacos and tostado was "stuffed" with ingredients. The condiment bar had salsas, dressings, cucumbers, and carrot slaw. They don't skimp on the fillings. The limeade was fresh and a perfect sweet quencher for a warm day. The shrimp taco was good and warm. The fish barely fit in the tortilla. The show stealer was the mixed tostado. The seafood was fresh, cold, and very tasty. This is a great stop for quick and flavorful tacos. Fish Tacos of LA Paz was packed on a Thursday afternoon and now I know why. My only pause was that Fish Taco is about the proteins and not condiments.
